not true. when your qb can’t beat a blitz you’ll be blitzed to death. an oline is 5 guys. they can’t block 5-7 rushers.
the bears need to get out of shotgun, run the ball and have some blitz beaters.

Win or lose I'm a diehard Bears fan, but come on mannnnn!!! I'm tired of the same old story every freaking week. At the end of the day, have to see the hope in that, we lost by only 6 to a very very good Texans team that will go far in the playoffs. Still need to pull out the wins! LETS GO BEARS!!!

I screamed and screamed and screamed and pounded the table for the last 2 off-seasons to draft a center in the early rounds!!!!! They refused to do it and I said it would cost them. I got NOTHING but pushback from this fanbase saying I was overreacting, that “we have Whitehair who’s serviceable” or “Ryan Bates rarely allows pressures when he plays” derp derp derp. WHERE ARE ALL THOSE CLOWNS NOW?!?!?! 🤡
You passed on John Michael-Schmitz not once but TWICE. Ended up with Dexter & Stevenson which okay fine they look like good building blocks. But then you should’ve pursued somebody like Joe Tippmann who’s the starting center for the Jets. This year they take a feel good OL from Yale cuz he’s a local kid but apparently isn’t healthy enough to play, when somebody like Sedrick Van Pran would’ve been perfect to take.

Granted. The O-line did not play well last night and needs to improve. However, you cannot blame it all on them. The purpose of a blitz is to overwhelm the O-line with more people than they possibly can block. Adjustments can be made to deal with blitzes, none of which were implemented by our OC. Our OC is an embarrassment.

Running wide to the side multiple times against a 5 time probowler who is set extra wide, is bad. Swift running backward around it rather than foot in the ground in the LT/LG area, is bad. Power O up the middle vs Titans is a bad idea due to the strength being those DTs. But the Texans strength is those DEs on wide edges. Power O with Herbert up the gut got em a TD. Herbert being used like he was caught with Waldron's wife or something.

Our offensive coordinator was shaking on National Television, at the start. How is that dude, calming a rookie QB and shaky O-Line. He didn't - he can't - replace him today. Three years ago Ryan Poles was handed the best Draft picks in over a decade and he wasted both on QB's - without Line protection. Replace Poles today. D'Andre Swift has lost a step, can't effectively pass block, demote him today. The Chicago Bears are the MAGA of the NFL - all Branding, no positive action.
