I bought a 99 Camry le with 140k miles two years ago for 2100 bucks as a car to get me to work while my dually was in the shop during the pandemic shortage and I’ll be damned my first ever car and what was a hoopty is now my daily and my dually sits in the drive way untouched for the last two years 😂 i love this damn car so much
Friend had a 4th gen Camry, one that I know of, maybe she had two, but one for sure. Grandparents had a 6th gen Accord, it was a great car. Surprised it lasted in Las Vegas like it did, of course, garage kept, so it was a good car. Got a 5th gen Camry after their 6th gen Accord, then a 3rd gen Avalon, 2nd gen Insight, then a their final car was a 6th gen Camry. Just subbed.
Good job! You're right, the door handles don't last. My 2003 Corolla's rear, passenger side door handle doesn't work on the outside. Also, clear coat on mine wore off years ago. But she runs like she's new. (I'm a friend down of Dylan's).
I have a 1997 (215K miles); 1998 (216K); 1999 (89K) and a 2000 (175K). I drive the 97 while my kids and wife drive the others. They are the best cars Toyota ever built and really the reason was that this generation was really all Lexus ES300 underneath. For this model, easy to work on as a DIY and if you use Toyota parts, they will last 300-500K miles.
paint fades on those hondas from direct sunlight and dry air. if you find one with faded paint it means it probably spent its life in an area of the country where vehicles do not rust. old hondas in the rust belt do not have faded paint but they are more likely to have rusted underbodies. the old camry's we're built to be able to DD in 2nd and 3rd world countries. xv10 and 20's with the 2.2 imo we're the pinnacle of inexpensive I.C.E. vehicle ownership as a whole.
My 99 Camry has 231k miles and it still saves gas and runs so smoothly . Love these cars and dependency
Me too

Great walkthrough. Yeah my Accord's paint was pretty bad as well and it was the auto V6 so the transmission was shit from the moment i bought it

Amazon sells the interior door handles for pretty cheap.
Good car, just needs some TLC.
Great video! Just subbed!
I have a 98 Camry and a 98 Accord too. Honda needs a new engine (who knew Lucas motor treatment was bad for vvt engine's).
"down below, by the nuts" Ok, I'm out!
