Hey Kamen, brilliant question, we would love to be able to, however the way the UK is set up, it would be really dangerous for the engineers trying to fix the blackout if it was a local problem. Until more V2G systems are regularly on the grid we won't be able to do what we call "home islanding" Hope this answers the question.
Yeah there's no way I'd put my leaf onto one of these systems and cycle the battery to death no matter what some company claims about it not affecting the car later.
We completely understand that concern which is why we have a special warranty on all our Powerloop lease cars that means you will always have a guarantee on your car. At the end of the trail the car comes back to us. For this exact reason we don't offer existing Leaf owners to join. Powerloop is all about keeping the customer as secure as possible
It's not just "what some company claims about it not affecting the car". There has been some learned research into the alleged "cycl[ing] the battery to death" issue. Do all Chademo cars work?
