Thanks for the review! As a fellow dealer, We can definitely confirm that Denon X-1700H AV Receiver is a great choice for home theater enthusiasts. With 7.2 channels and support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, it delivers immersive and dynamic sound. The receiver also has built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, making it easy to stream music from your favorite devices. Additionally, the receiver is compatible with a wide range of audio and video equipment, making it a versatile choice for any home theater setup. And as a fellow dealer, We can definitely vouch for the quality of Marantz products. If you have any other questions about the Denon X-1700H please feel free to ask!
This comparison was helpful! Hope you review subwoofers as well. Also, the background music in between was distracting (a bit loud) when you were talking about the features.
Thanks for the feedback Don. Will ask the production team to work on it. And we do review subwoofers. In case you have a personal query on the same, then we can connect over T20 call.
If you want more power go for X2800 or X3800. X1700H will be fine for most room sizes. If you have a large room then go for X3800 as it has more power available to the speakers
Hi Tanmay, Firstly, many thanks for the great videos you’ve been sharing with us, this has helped me gain a lot of knowledge into the world of AVs. Would you please help me decide between the below two AVR, or help suggest something better as well, this is for my living room setup, which is around 15*15 feet Denon AVR X1700H or Marantz NR1711 While I liked the Marantz NR1711 for its slim profile/looks, premium brand & the musical inclination that Marantz is known for. My concern here, The power is only 50watts per channel vs the 80watts of Denon & the number HDMI 2.1 ports are higher on the Denon model. Btw I would intend to use floor speakers in the future. Could you please suggest or also provide another alternative, if any.
Hey Vikram, Thank you so much for your feedback. It’s people like you who make us do we what we love to do 😀👍🏻 Marantz can still be fine. And the best part about it is the pre outs for front L/R which enables you to add a power amp for your floorstanders.
For 5.1.2 configuration, i have 2 ceiling speakers (.2 of 5.1.2) In speakers setting, in manual setting, which speakers I have to select for .2 which are above sitting position in ceiling
Hi, I am very much love all your Ideas. Just I buy Jamo S807 . 5.0 pack. I am checking for a good av receiver. Can I buy a new Pioneer 834 or 1 year used Denon 1700.
Hi Tanmay , really appreciate your knowledgeable in-depth analysis. Just finalising DENON X1700H for home setup. Is it still woth or should go for X2700H?
Hey Anand, Thanks for your reply. Denon X-1700H is good, however will have to understand some more information on your viewing distance and speaker choice. You can also check Denon X-1800H which is a recent upgrade to X-1700H. We have done a video on that too!
Hi. First of all thanks a ton for the great content and guidance. I am setting up a HT setup(5.1) in my living room ( open concept 900 sqft) This is the setup I’ve chosen Display : Epson tw7100 (based on your other video)+ 133 inch screen (already sourced) Content input : fire stick 4K into avr Audio stage : Front stage Elac debut F5.2 , C5.2. Surround stage polk rc6i in ceiling Amplification : denon x1700h ( I have decided on this as this was most budget friendly avr I could find with pre outs since I intend to connect the FL & FR to a power amp :Bryston 3bsst that I have lying around) Use is 60% music 20% movies 20% sports Can you guide if the x1700 I have chosen would be suitable as I could not find a 5.1 avr that has pre outs plus subwoofer outs ? Maybe I’m making a mistake . Look forward to your feedback and thank you for your guidance.
X-1800H will be wiser to compare as it's now available in India. In comparison to S-970H, the only advantage of the latter is Dual HDMI Output port. If that's not required, stick to X series.
The speaker package will depend on your room size, application, speaker appearances, sound signature, etc. I recommend you to submit those using our custom design tool - form.typeform.com/to/Ib2GQmTU

The Denon S-760H is duff. Stick to the X series of receivers. The capacitors on the S range are of poor quality and degrade very quickly giving you distorted sound. Your money your choice :)

Can u explain difference between Denon 2000 and Denon 1700 ? I have Denon 2000 . What to do to upgrade it ?
Good i found you!
You answer most of my questions 👍🏻
Happy to have found you ☺️
which one to buy on tight budget i need dolby atmos dts x dts hd 7.1 5,1 etc with 4k tv with hdmi earc and sony 5,1 speakers?
Is X-Denon 1700H enough to drive q acoustics 5.1 cinema pack? Or should i upgrade to denon x-2700h
Yeah its decent. In case your room is big and you are going to drive the speakers at higher power you can then only opt for X-2700H.
If you want more power go for X2800 or X3800. X1700H will be fine for most room sizes. If you have a large room then go for X3800 as it has more power available to the speakers

Wow finally an Indian AV Reviewer.

Depends on speakers honestly.
Hello Tanmay sir
I have Obage CA-1, 5.1 channel home theater system can I connect it to Denon S-760H
No. You cannot! It’s already an active system
good to show the difference 👍🏻
Nice presentation with clear clarity about the product.
Thank you!

I doubt if denon avr 1700 come with any ore out for front stage speakers. Do check at the back panel of this AVR once again
Is this AVR enough to drive the Q Acoustics 3030i and 3090i in a room that is 25x15
x1700h vs s970h(90w) please suggest both at same price

Excellent review and great information to help me on making the decision
Glad it was helpful!
Am i right did denon skip the exteral remote control in on the back ?
Can we connet PHILIPS home theatre speaker to this?
No. They aren’t compatible 😑
Can we connect Kef q650 centre speaker to this?
Yes. You can 👍🏻
Do the newer models now support Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax)?
No. They still support a (Wi-Fi 5 version)
@@TanmayMehta That's a shame in 2022

Almost same power, same features. New GUI and Better Capacitors!
Good comparison

I highly doubt if it will handle the power requirements. Better go with normal AVRs!
