While I have doubts the h*rniness will stop cause we simps for these robots, I am glad you pointed out the facts that people are being hurt over nonexistent fictional robots, cause people don't want to leave things be. I agree with you. I've been in the Murder Drones community since the teaser on Liam's channel, and I've been in the Glitch community since Meta Runner season 1. The Murder Drones community used to have a much better good people to bad people ratio, though even back then I'd get angry comments whenever I'd say that Meta Runner is my favourite show of all time. That was the golden age. I met a bunch of cool people, and I'm still friends with some of them to this day. Now, it's a completely different place... I don't ship any characters, I don't think it's right to, because it kinda feels like pushing your opinion onto fictional characters to me, UNLESS the ship becomes canon. But I respect those who ship, heck even one of my friends is an artist that ships and I still love and support her and her art! But people make such a big deal out of it these days. It's crazy to think about the fact that these people are fighting over fictional characters, everywhere I go I see arguments saying "envy good nuzi bad" but much more aggressively. Now, I don't support either side of this but I think that them saying that nuzi was forced, is like them saying "These characters can't do what they want and what they feel is right! They need to do what *I* want because I ship N with V and it must be canon!!!!", trying to force their opinion on the characters, the fictional characters that can not make their way into the real world. This got so bad that on a stream that N's VA Michael Kovach did, when asked about N and Uzi's feelings for each other said he didn't want to say anything because he didn't want to start any violence. The u++p (the + is t, I don't want to attract their attention here) attacks have also been concerning. They've been attacking everyone on Glitch's comment sections, harassing Murder Drones artists on Twitter, and even releasing private information about Glitch employees. They do all this because they claim they will "stop Murder Drones and remove the fandom", and this. Is. Sick. These people are not okay. And they're a big reason why this problem keeps getting worse. All this causes people to be scared of interacting with this fandom. Even me, I've made lots of Murder Drones art but I only ever posted one, and that one was posted before Murder Drones blew up. Now I don't post any of it because I don't want it to get stolen or to get harassed. This is literally *insane*. This fandom really needs to realise what they're doing, and that this stuff is dangerous. They're committing literal crimes over fictional characters. The most effective way I can think of this fandom ever calming down is if Glitch themselves make a video or post talking about this issue. I know that is highly unlikely, but they made a post regarding the fake Glitch accounts, I still have a slight bit of hope that they'll address this.

I have *absolutely* no idea why communities have to be this way; 1. A toxic community People have no need for this! We have no need to fight people for having their own personal opinion!! 2. Shipping war I, in my own opinion, do not care for shipping! I mean people can ship but due to disagreements it acts as a resource for the flame of toxicity to burn. 3. Sexualization of characters While V may be a bit… interest of a proportioned character, that does not give the right for artist and such to give characters things! As you explained in the video, they are just robots and have to relation to humans in the slightest!! But when it comes to these issues there is alway light at the end of a tunnel. Like passionate people making artwork (not sexual) to show their appreciation of the series! And even buying their merchandise to fund them for their great work. I love this show so much, but sometimes I think about the Fandom and how crazy this gets. I hate how they act, attacking others for shipping something, I may ship Nuzi myself, but I would NEVER attack someone for shipping something else. And V's death hurt alot if the Fandom, but it is no reason to attack GLITCH themselves! And the No No fanart is EVERYWHERE, Good God I can't escape it!! People in this Fandom are terrible, and I hate it, but the rule is, ignore those people, and enjoy the show.
I love murder drones, but I’m only here for things actually connected to the lore and seeing cool fanart of the characters and epic edits. I just absolutely hate the fact that people are arguing over ships and are sexualising ROBOTS. I cannot peacefully scroll on Pinterest without seeing cursed art. I've been a murder drone fan since late December 2022 - Earlier this year on January i've noticed how the fandom have changed so much in the course of a few months. I remember when I first entered the fandom it was kinda small yet welcoming and respectful, now it's just- kind of scary knowing that you can get attacked over something small like an opinion. I’m in a lot of pretty toxic fandoms, I get used to it usually, but murder drones is much worse than some of the others. I’m disappointed with the people doxxing and fighting over ships and garbage. I tend to stay with the wholesome stuff people have made, but seeing this video come up for me made me really think I need to at least say something about it.

I honestly had no clue of this. Mostly because the area where i hang out is in the creative seen, like comics, tumblr and ao3, even memes and youtube. I can totally see why you dislike the shipping scene but the fact is GLITCH productions have created such a cool show and world that it has made a very big and diverse fandom. Emphasis on diverse since i had no idea what was going on in other platforms. I think its freaking awesome how much fanmade content has been created because of the interesting characters and world they have made.

I love this show and all even If I completely understand that its not everyone's type of thing, but holy shit bro the fandom gives off bad vibes I can only say the ULTRAKILL fandom is worse in aspects. Ironic considering both involve murder machines. With the unrelated media mentioned aside, The MD fandom is so bad that some people thought it was a show purely about sexualized robots and that just infuriates me when it has some of the best horror since the thing from the 80s in my honest opinion. On the one hand, I'm not surprised. on the other hand I'm shocked to learn that my response to hearing murder drones criticism is somehow more reasonable than the majority of the fandom's. for context: whenever I hear criticism about the show that I A) don't agree with & B) don't have the energy to either hear out or skip, I just click off the video. I love the show and have been watching episodes as they come out, and even though I'm not too in touch with the fandom side since most of my friends don't watch it, I have seen some nasty comments be thrown Glitch Productions way and was worried about it since it seemed like a normal thing lots of people were doing in the fandom. Glad to see someone talkin about it and addressing it.
Something tells me that V is a worm monster killing the robots to rebuild herself or the sentinels where killed by V to the point that they gave up trying to kill V. But what ever happens Uzi and N are my favorite characters in the show and V is to but not as much as the other 2. Can't wait to see what happens in the next episodes to the finally of season 1 or whatever you call it.

As much as i like shipping characters i care about the story as well and i feel like people should not attack others because they don't like thwir ships or some things about the show. If someone doesn't like the show that's fine but don't be upset that they don't like what you like and start doxing them . I've been in the fandom since the start. But I took a break from the community back when episode 4 came out, then I came back not so long ago. When the pilot was the only episode that was out, the fandom was a relaxing place to be. But now... the fandom is bad. I am so horrified on what happened. And at this point, I'm scared to ask.
This is just the inevitable course of almost every fandom for a mega popular online indie piece of media that appeals to or ends up with an audience of very young impressionable teens to adults. It has happened time and time again with the rise of Homestuck, FNAF, Undertale, Bendy's, FNF and such. MD just happens to be yet another case and TADC is way past that point. i dont really see the point of sexualizing adult fictional characters. it's the internet. people can do what they want, just don't engage in it if you hate it. You can't really blame the people when Liam's art leans into that territory. The dude clearly has some underlying preferences and tropes when it comes to his female characters if you glance at most of his older works that leaked into MD
I must say, as someone who has been a fan of murder drones ever since the beginning... I had low expectations of the fandom before watching this video... and somehow... I was still disappointed. At least it's not all bad, but hey! because barely anybody is looking at Liam's other works, his other stuff won't be swarmed with toddlers like murder drones was. So... for what it's worth... I'm going to be avoiding the bad stuff, and focusing purely on the good stuff (The good stuff just being official murder drones media because fan made stuff is only good about 40% of the time) I love this show, and the characters, but I am not stupid enough to be blind to the flaws of the show, yes, this show that I believe wholeheartedly to be one of the best youtube shows out there... has flaws. Everything is flawed in some way, and murder drones is no exception. When I finally make my own indie series... I'm hoping one of two things will happen: A, it is never seen and I won't have to deal with the bullcrap that comes with a fandom. Or B, it gets popular, but my audience is mature enough to not be a bunch of clowns. You see the problem with this? Huh, well this makes a lot of sense, here's something from a book I recently read, power that is earned is power with restraint, with the knowledge of how to use it, and when to not use it, power that is inherited, like riches, has no restraint, one of the examples this book uses, "if someone earns a blackbelt in karate, they aren't going to go around killing people because they can, no, they have learned restraint and know when to and when not you use their skills." This isn't exact because I've lost the place of that quote and I don't want to go reread an entire book for one comment. Still, people now can almost instantly have access to the internet, and the internet has its own problems, with it being a curse and a blessing, I'm getting off track, but what I mean to say is that people, kids to be more specific, have access to amazing tools and can say anything they want with little to no repercussion, so they do whatever they want to. And then there is the ugly side of the internet, the side where they think that the whole world is their little play thing, and if something doesn't go the way they want it, they go ahead and dox people, they go ahead and commit murder, they go ahead and do stuff for the sake of things not going their way. The internet on the surface is pretty good, but as soon as you start to dig, you can see why some people think the internet should have never been made. Still, good video, I wish you well in your youtube career. And yes, I am indeed bored enough to write this comment. As someone new to MD in general, I wasn’t entirely sure what the fandom was like. This definitely isn’t so fun to hear, but I’m glad a video like this exists so I know what I’m getting into with the community. Thank you for making this. Also, from what I’ve seen on instagram, reposting has also been really bad. Half of the drawings I come across were reposted and a lot of them don’t even have any credit. People mainly do it for roleplay but it’s still really crappy considering.. you’re taking someone else’s work either way??? I feel really bad for the artists for murder drones :[[
good video for being the third one👍 and about my experience in the fandom I only limit myself to youtube since I don't like to use tik tok and these days I haven't been in twitter (X) but I will say that I liked half of the fandom here and others not so much, when it comes to a series that I like I prefer the theory videos since it feels like the fandom is coming together for something, that's why I like channels like Cartoon Universe because he usually limits to talk about theories and I feel that this helps the community to grow in the best possible way, and about the criticism, I actually think that constructive criticism are fine since from my point of view I don't think there is any series, movie, or anything that is perfect and I think constructive criticism can be considered a good thing although maybe this depends more on the person who makes the video but there are some criticisms that may feel offensive, I think sometimes because of the way of communicating it since it seems that only the negative points of a show are highlighted, but as I already said that maybe it depends on the person doing the review, for example I felt this video very friendly and comforting, so nice job 😄, and lastly about the ships, honestly I prefer the canon ships or that there are clues that could happen, maybe that's why I don't usually like the ships of characters who have only spoken once in their life or in the worst case they don't even know each other, but at the end of the day, as you said in your video, they are fictional characters, and a ship doesn't hurt anyone, so it's stupid to get angry about those things, for example, I like the nuzi and envy equally, I would even like the idea that a poly-amorous relationship develops between the three of them, they're robots so anything can happen and I admit that I like to watch most of the shorts on youtube where some murder drones ships are ranked since there I find people with the same thought of shipping them three 😊, but anyway about doxxing people no matter the reason that's very wrong and unfortunately that is something that is found today in almost any fandom thay would be all, sorry for the whole bible 😅 and well I would like to know what you think 😁 btw sorry if my english is a little bit bad 😅
As someone who is very active on the murder drones reddit,I've never actually seen any mean comments! Even in art that isn't very good,people would comment tips,or encouragements,the community seems fairly nice there,but maybe I'm just blind.But there is a shipping side,the comments are just people respectfully showing their opinions on the ship.

Yes the Murder Drones fandom can be a gross toxic wasteland sometimes *100% NOT ONLY JUST THE ADULTS WHO USE TWITTER AND STUFF CAUSE THE KIDS CAN'T* but as the show puts it look at how MANY WAYS THEY DO THIS OF SHOWING *Uzi X N* it seems as if yes the show itself half is trying to show hey Uzi and N are in a relationship *BUT LETS KEEP THAT A SECRET* and kinda hide it. But my point is Uzi X N seems to be where this show is going for ships and nowhere else currently. ALSO FOR YOUR V FANS maybe V is alive since they wouldn't let V die that easy a major character a Serial Designation die just because of a couple murder animal robot killing things, V is too major to lose in S1 E6 of Murder Drones
Tbh I havent met most of these things. Yes ship wars are annoying as heck, and I try to not make them happen, but everything else doesnt bother me/I simply dont see them. The fans not accepting criticism is something... I do a little ngl but I try to not do it. Like I do understand that the show has problems and all that, I agree with a lot of those points. But the main thing goes down to people just saying that the show is bad without actually watching it. I'm ashamed of how toxic this fandom is, and in my opinion, I have big problems with the r34 community, mostly because they take the characters so fucking far out of context that its just the looks of the character and nothing else. also the fact that googling any comics on youtube shows a fuck ton of weird videos. Would it be so hard for the artists to place this stuff in discord servers or something so that I don't have to see it regularly? I'm glad there is SOME good content to look at, but otherwise I'm just concerned that sexualizing every slightly human looking character is the norm now, and people see nothing wrong with it (I say every slightly human looking being because I have probed the internet and found that this is a trend, human looking characters get sexualized, non humans don't) there's r34 of underage characters for fucks sake, and I don't care if there not real, if someone gets horny to explicit art of minors, thats fucked up in my opinion.

I agree with you. I've been in the Murder Drones community since the teaser on Liam's channel, and I've been in the Glitch community since Meta Runner season 1. The Murder Drones community used to have a much better good people to bad people ratio, though even back then I'd get angry comments whenever I'd say that Meta Runner is my favourite show of all time. That was the golden age. I met a bunch of cool people, and I'm still friends with some of them to this day.
Now, it's a completely different place... I don't ship any characters, I don't think it's right to, because it kinda feels like pushing your opinion onto fictional characters to me, UNLESS the ship becomes canon. But I respect those who ship, heck even one of my friends is an artist that ships and I still love and support her and her art! But people make such a big deal out of it these days. It's crazy to think about the fact that these people are fighting over fictional characters, everywhere I go I see arguments saying "envy good nuzi bad" but much more aggressively.
Now, I don't support either side of this but I think that them saying that nuzi was forced, is like them saying "These characters can't do what they want and what they feel is right! They need to do what *I* want because I ship N with V and it must be canon!!!!", trying to force their opinion on the characters, the fictional characters that can not make their way into the real world. This got so bad that on a stream that N's VA Michael Kovach did, when asked about N and Uzi's feelings for each other said he didn't want to say anything because he didn't want to start any violence.
The u++p (the + is t, I don't want to attract their attention here) attacks have also been concerning. They've been attacking everyone on Glitch's comment sections, harassing Murder Drones artists on Twitter, and even releasing private information about Glitch employees. They do all this because they claim they will "stop Murder Drones and remove the fandom", and this. Is. Sick. These people are not okay. And they're a big reason why this problem keeps getting worse.
All this causes people to be scared of interacting with this fandom. Even me, I've made lots of Murder Drones art but I only ever posted one, and that one was posted before Murder Drones blew up. Now I don't post any of it because I don't want it to get stolen or to get harassed. This is literally *insane*. This fandom really needs to realise what they're doing, and that this stuff is dangerous. They're committing literal crimes over fictional characters. The most effective way I can think of this fandom ever calming down is if Glitch themselves make a video or post talking about this issue. I know that is highly unlikely, but they made a post regarding the fake Glitch accounts, I still have a slight bit of hope that they'll address this.

I have *absolutely* no idea why communities have to be this way;
1. A toxic community
People have no need for this! We have no need to fight people for having their own personal opinion!!
2. Shipping war
I, in my own opinion, do not care for shipping! I mean people can ship but due to disagreements it acts as a resource for the flame of toxicity to burn.
3. Sexualization of characters
While V may be a bit… interest of a proportioned character, that does not give the right for artist and such to give characters things! As you explained in the video, they are just robots and have to relation to humans in the slightest!!
But when it comes to these issues there is alway light at the end of a tunnel. Like passionate people making artwork (not sexual) to show their appreciation of the series! And even buying their merchandise to fund them for their great work.
I myself, a young fan, believes that not everything had to be bad! While there is pain, there will always be that good side to a community with people who support and care for their work!

I love this show so much, but sometimes I think about the Fandom and how crazy this gets. I've been a murder drone fan since late December 2022 - Earlier this year on January i've noticed how the fandom have changed so much in the course of a few months. I remember when I first entered the fandom it was kinda small yet welcoming and respectful, now it's just- kind of scary knowing that you can get attacked over something small like an opinion. I’m in a lot of pretty toxic fandoms, I get used to it usually, but murder drones is much worse than some of the others. I’m disappointed with the people doxxing and fighting over ships and garbage. I tend to stay with the wholesome stuff people have made, but seeing this video come up for me made me really think I need to at least say something about it.

I honestly had no clue of this. Mostly because the area where i hang out is in the creative seen, like comics, tumblr and ao3, even memes and youtube. I can totally see why you dislike the shipping scene but the fact is GLITCH productions have created such a cool show and world that it has made a very big and diverse fandom. Emphasis on diverse since i had no idea what was going on in other platforms. I think its freaking awesome how much fanmade content has been created because of the interesting characters and world they have made.

I've been in the fandom since the start. But I took a break from the community back when episode 4 came out, then I came back not so long ago. When the pilot was the only episode that was out, the fandom was a relaxing place to be. But now... the fandom is bad. I am so horrified on what happened. And at this point, I'm scared to ask.
This is just the inevitable course of almost every fandom for a mega popular online indie piece of media that appeals to or ends up with an audience of very young impressionable teens to adults. It has happened time and time again with the rise of Homestuck, FNAF, Undertale, Bendy's, FNF and such. MD just happens to be yet another case and TADC is way past that point.
i dont really see the point of sexualizing adult fictional characters. it's the internet. people can do what they want, just don't engage in it if you hate it. You can't really blame the people when Liam's art leans into that territory. The dude clearly has some underlying preferences and tropes when it comes to his female characters if you glance at most of his older works that leaked into MD
I must say, as someone who has been a fan of murder drones ever since the beginning... I had low expectations of the fandom before watching this video... and somehow... I was still disappointed. At least it's not all bad, but hey! because barely anybody is looking at Liam's other works, his other stuff won't be swarmed with toddlers like murder drones was. So... for what it's worth... I'm going to be avoiding the bad stuff, and focusing purely on the good stuff (The good stuff just being official murder drones media because fan made stuff is only good about 40% of the time) I love this show, and the characters, but I am not stupid enough to be blind to the flaws of the show, yes, this show that I believe wholeheartedly to be one of the best youtube shows out there... has flaws. Everything is flawed in some way, and murder drones is no exception. When I finally make my own indie series... I'm hoping one of two things will happen: A, it is never seen and I won't have to deal with the bullcrap that comes with a fandom. Or B, it gets popular, but my audience is mature enough to not be a bunch of clowns. You see the problem with this? Huh, well this makes a lot of sense, here's something from a book I recently read, power that is earned is power with restraint, with the knowledge of how to use it, and when to not use it, power that is inherited, like riches, has no restraint, one of the examples this book uses, "if someone earns a blackbelt in karate, they aren't going to go around killing people because they can, no, they have learned restraint and know when to and when not you use their skills." This isn't exact because I've lost the place of that quote and I don't want to go reread an entire book for one comment. Still, people now can almost instantly have access to the internet, and the internet has its own problems, with it being a curse and a blessing, I'm getting off track, but what I mean to say is that people, kids to be more specific, have access to amazing tools and can say anything they want with little to no repercussion, so they do whatever they want to. And then there is the ugly side of the internet, the side where they think that the whole world is their little play thing, and if something doesn't go the way they want it, they go ahead and dox people, they go ahead and commit murder, they go ahead and do stuff for the sake of things not going their way. The internet on the surface is pretty good, but as soon as you start to dig, you can see why some people think the internet should have never been made. Still, good video, I wish you well in your youtube career. And yes, I am indeed bored enough to write this comment. and about my experience in the fandom I only limit myself to youtube since I don't like to use tik tok and these days I haven't been in twitter (X) but I will say that I liked half of the fandom here and others not so much, when it comes to a series that I like I prefer the theory videos since it feels like the fandom is coming together for something, that's why I like channels like Cartoon Universe because he usually limits to talk about theories and I feel that this helps the community to grow in the best possible way, and about the criticism, I actually think that constructive criticism are fine since from my point of view I don't think there is any series, movie, or anything that is perfect and I think constructive criticism can be considered a good thing although maybe this depends more on the person who makes the video but there are some criticisms that may feel offensive, I think sometimes because of the way of communicating it since it seems that only the negative points of a show are highlighted, but as I already said that maybe it depends on the person doing the review, for example I felt this video very friendly and comforting, so nice job 😄, and lastly about the ships, honestly I prefer the canon ships or that there are clues that could happen, maybe that's why I don't usually like the ships of characters who have only spoken once in their life or in the worst case they don't even know each other, but at the end of the day, as you said in your video, they are fictional characters, and a ship doesn't hurt anyone, so it's stupid to get angry about those things, for example, I like the nuzi and envy equally, I would even like the idea that a poly-amorous relationship develops between the three of them, they're robots so anything can happen and I admit that I like to watch most of the shorts on youtube where some murder drones ships are ranked since there I find people with the same thought of shipping them three 😊, but anyway about doxxing people no matter the reason that's very wrong and unfortunately that is something that is found today in almost any fandom

As someone who is very active on the murder drones reddit,I've never actually seen any mean comments! Even in art that isn't very good,people would comment tips,or encouragements,the community seems fairly nice there,but maybe I'm just blind.But there is a shipping side,the comments are just people respectfully showing their opinions on the ship.

I support Nuzi and Envy ship not because i like sexualizing robots but because its cute. But this is too much i remember seeing a whole conversation of two people trying to force the other to like the ship they support and its annoying and with the V's death situation i remember seeing people tell death treats to Glitch Production like wtf. And im happy to be part of a fandom of this amazing show but it disappointed on what the fandom has became i really hope it grows up one day.

Yeah a lot of people are hating glitch productions for the weirdest things ever. For example when Glitch announced that Vivzie will be on Glitchx some just said that the event was going to be perfect but now it's just going to be mid.

now personally, I don't agree with the shipping, but doxxing artists doing the commissions of the art of the ships is a lill too far, and those that do that should be disowned by the community (even though I know well enough it aint happening anytime soon). I just watch the memes, the actual show, and retrospectives/ theories over here on YT, and I don't attack those who make reasonable content that I don't agree with. In conclusion, most of the fandom needs to grow up and learn a magical skill called ignoring what you don't like online.

But my point is Uzi X N seems to be where this show is going for ships and nowhere else currently. ALSO FOR YOUR V FANS maybe V is alive since they wouldn't let V die that easy a major character a Serial Designation die just because of a couple murder animal robot killing things, V is too major to lose in S1 E6 of Murder Drones

Tbh I havent met most of these things. Yes ship wars are annoying as heck, and I try to not make them happen, but everything else doesnt bother me/I simply dont see them.
The fans not accepting criticism is something... I do a little ngl but I try to not do it. Like I do understand that the show has problems and all that, I agree with a lot of those points. But the main thing goes down to people just saying that the show is bad without actually watching it. I have been in so many arguments, which proved that the other person havent even watched it and that triggers me so much. Would it be so hard for the artists to place this stuff in discord servers or something so that I don't have to see it regularly?
I'm glad there is SOME good content to look at, but otherwise I'm just concerned that sexualizing every slightly human looking character is the norm now, and people see nothing wrong with it (I say every slightly human looking being because I have probed the internet and found that this is a trend, human looking characters get sexualized, non humans don't)
