I always feel like John is ripping me off, maybe it's a personality thing :D I do make tons of cash selling to him though, fishing for tons of Travalla and selling them all. It's to the point I don't even need to farm much.
Yeah, I definitely feel like the game wants him to seem shady. The travallas are a good tip, if I was better at fishing I'd be tempted to do that 🙂
