Sorry to be late to the party, this is the most honest review ive ever seen on this bike.Ive had mine for a month now and im happy enough with it for my 10 mile round trip to work buy going any farther than that id be wary about riding without any assistance.
@Red-ding-Ton Im happy enough with mine tbh.I ride it unlocked so average speed is good about 20-24 mph.Im a big lump 115 kg so max range will be about 25 miles or so .I dont use much throttle just a few seconds to get moving from a standstill. The display has an annoying habit of dropping bars very quick due to battery sag under load but if you switch off then on again the bars reappear😡so you never know how much power you realy have left.It feels well built but with fairly budget components chain, cassette ect but should last about a year or so?ive done about 400 miles in 3 months and its still going strong. As i mentioned its a big heavy bike so deffo dont want to ride it far with no power. For the £1100 i paid for it yeah im happy with it.Oh yeah when it came it was missing a headset bearing and i just got a mobile bike mechanic to replace it cost me £40 and the guy found several bolts that were not tightened from the factory two of which were on the brake disc so not ideal.I would check every bolt if i were you.
Sometimes they can have restrictions on speed and power, so always check the specifications and details before ordering. sometimes they change so I don't want to say here...
The D Show Thank you for your video, fiido titan or engwe E26 which one would you choose? titan looks better to me. I need some suggestions and look forward to your reply.
@@TheDShow I like the engwe .. i think will buy them european version. Better than the ouxi v8 pro i think. The v8 fatbikes will be a problem in netherlands
Just subscribed mate, This is the best review on this bike l have seen, Only just found the video, Apparently the battery bars going up and down is battery lag,When let's say go up a hill it takes a lot of bars off but once back on the straight if you turn of the screen off then back on again the bars come back Hope this helps, Anyway(1) l am 66 years of age Not fit but not knackered do you think the step thru version will be OK for me, (2) Does the battery cut off charging when full, (3) If l get one from a uk distributor does it come as a 250w and can I still unlock it to become a 750w (4) Have you ever heard of unrestricted bike's in kent been looking at them just don't know, Sorry for the speech, Thank you.
Thanks for your positive feedback, yes I think the step thru would be a better choice but also this one is pretty low to the ground and may be better suited - ruclips.net/video/yHkvCdvb_w4/видео.html as for battery charging if you mean does the power cut off completely, I doubt it the battery will probably trickle charge which is why you should keep an eye on it and unplug it when its fully charged but I don't know for sure, I never leave large batteries charging unattended just to be safe although I've never had an issue. You can unlock the speed on the bikes, as for the power of the motor I believe its often the same as other countries version just restricted at first but again I haven't really looked at other versions so you would need to double check this if its a concern.
Im just under 5'11 and I had the seat the lowest it would go and my feet would not go flat while sitting on the bike, so yeah I think if your under 5'10 your probably gonna start to struggle. It is big weighty bike, I probably should have mentioned my height in the video I will do in the next one.
@@TheDShow thanks for sharing! Noticed anything weird with the bike yet? Some people warned me about the 1 year bike warranty and 6 month battery warrenty.. I'm from the Netherlands so idk if they give the same warranty in the US.
In the video I mention that I specifically asked Engwe about the batteries used but they didn't really give anything away as I have seen people say look for Samsung cells in E-bikes as they are usually trustworthy, infact Engwe has some bikes that advertise using Samsung cells like the Engwe P275 Pro, In my experience I have rarely had issues with batteries only on occasion when I haven't used good practices. In the worst case they do sell replacements if something was to go wrong with the battery, I think if your worried about the battery just look up some good practices for battery health like not charging when the battery is cold, not leaving it fully charged if your not going to use it for a long period of time etc. I did do some of my own research I found some people saying they had battery problems only like 6months after owning an electric bike but this was another brand, without knowing what cells are being used or tearing down the battery I think there is an element of trust that they are good quality. I would also look into there after market care as this can often be a week point for alot of companies should you run into any problems, see if anyone has mentioned anything on forums anywhere maybe. This was my first experience with Engwe I was impressed with the bike but when it comes to long term reviews I don't often hang onto products but sometimes I do, I've had alot of cheap items that lasted me a long time.
Minimum range? If you're asking the maximum range, I cannot honestly answer that yet. I normally go anywhere between 20-35km per ride. But I will say that I've gone all the way to 15-20km before it drops down one level of energy. Just depends on the grade/incline and I'm normally on asphalt. Of the three e-bikes I've had so far, I have to work to get the energy down to a good storage level on this one, and normally at Level 5 just to force the amount down so I can store the bike at a good battery level for days when there's rain. If I want to go farther, but with comfort I normally keep it at level 3, and I have yet to see how far that takes me🤷.@@akatsukigaming247
If you want to restrict it goto to advance settings and press the plus key for 15 seconds

@@Red-ding-Ton You are welcome.
Good looking bike man. I have a Rad Rover 6 plus and love it. That is a nice one too. Nice color scheme
The D Show Thank you for posting.
Would like to see the battery bar display, showing numbers like on a phone so 0-100%
I agree would be alot nicer, with some Engwe bikes that have dual batteries, you still get the same battery indicator
Put rubber washer on mudguards attachment stops it rattling..
What's the waterproof rating IP
I think it's regular.
What is the difference between EU and Brits version of this bike? Thanks

Have you tested the Hitway MK16 yet? I'm hesitating between these 2 bikes. what would you recommend

unattractive gear shifter but that's an easy fix, the rest of the bike looks good, really good. might have to sell my Aventon Level and get this.
What about how tall you need to be? I am 5'8 but i heared the bike is more for people around 5'10 - 6ft.. is it really that big?
