I have lived in Oregon 45 years, I also built a cabin 10 years ago deep in the woods and stay there every year for a few weeks in the winter and spring. Never seen a squatch, but I’ve had the feeling of being watched and followed many times. One night I woke up to what sounded like a boy screaming in agonizing pain. When I came out to investigate heard something run through the creek and scale up a 500 ft ridge to the south. It knocked bowling ball sized rocks down as it went up. Still have no idea what it was.
YOU SAID IT. IN FACT, MISSING 411 HAS LOST 50% VIEWERSHIP AND HERE'S WHY: IT'S NOT A NOVELTY ANYMORE AND STORIES OF REAL PEOPLE VICTIMIZED FOREVER AND NOT RETURNING TEND TO GET OLD REAL QUICK AFTER YOU HAVE HEARD A FEW. I like Base Camp Chris much better than Missing 411. Paulides, you are a retired hardened cop who profiled people all his life AND THUS HAVE A HARDENED, CYNICAL VIEW OF HUMAN NATURE. You were even an undercover narc part of the time. Almost none of these cases ever return to the living. You have made books and movies with interviews of the miserable parents or wife who lost someone while you shed not a single tear or show the slightest bit of sadness. I find this illuminating at first, that the Park service will not release a list of the missing, but then after you listen to 50-100 cases you realize 99% of them will never, ever return, NOR WILL THEY BECAUSE OF these STORIES OF THEM. THIS IS PREYING ON MISERY IN AN UNFEELING WAY to many of us, though your work is important in that it is illuminating; but has proven ultimately unimportant to the missing or those who miss them.

My husband and I are new to Oregon from NM. Around July, 2024 he and I pulled our camper to Glass Butte in hopes to get some of the Obsidian. Before getting to the main place where people go to hunt for the Obsidian, we parked our camper in a spot that looked good & spent the night. We are experienced campers; never had we gone camping in Oregon up to this time. For some reason that we may never know…my husband started getting a very uneasy feeling & as a result, the next morning we packed up & the uneasy feeling had not ceased so, we decided to go home. On the way out we stopped where we saw small Obsidians. One is allowed a 5 gallon bucket full so we filled our bucket & left. One thing to remember, the Hwy 20 is a place where various things have happened to people. Google that. So…I’m very glad we left because I do feel that something was wrong. Our little story…not real interesting, but maybe others need to know they should listen to their gut or that still small voice. Ok, I find that I entered this story on the wrong story, but maybe someone will read this that needs it. Be safe people.

I lived in Ashford WA. Skate Creek Rd all the way up to white pass is a hot spot. I camped there for two months and had 3 experiences. I had one watching me and it would mess with me not even a minute after I put my head down to sleep. It scuffed its feet near my car then pushed a tree down about 6-8 inches and it made very loud cracking sounds. I stayed away for two nights then went back there to camp and it never bothered me again. Scott Taylor from the BFRO came down and I showed him the tree and told my story.
I live in Grants Pass Oregon. I was a caregiver for a bit and went way out to Wimer to care for this elderly man. The house was this log cabin, and it was pretty remote. Well, the man who owned the house talked to me before I left one time, and he shared how he jad definitely heard bigfoot. He said he had heard weird hooting sounds and also weird banging, like something banging branches into trees etc. This guy had lived out there for a while and I honestly believe him. He definitely didn't strike me as someone that wpuld tell crazy stories for a attention or anything. He was a hunter and very used to being out in the wild.
I hiked at Mt. Hood a few years ago. After hiking a few hours, I sat on a felled tree for a rest. I closed my eyes, and when I opened them, I was shocked to see a little person about 12 ft away watching me. He was a little man about 14 inches tall dressed in brown clothes that reminded me of hemp, or burlap. He had a little greenish vest and hat. I swear it was an elemental gnome creature. We looked at each other for 10 seconds or so, then it walked behind a tree and disappeared!! I swear it wasn't a dream or an illusion. It was a real experience with a mythical earth elemental creature.
Hi Chris, They should always have a Team that goes to these remote places together. One may have save the other due to an Injury or Ravaging Bigfoot. I’m a outdoorsman and have been Hunting since I was really young. If that happened to me, I wouldn’t have Parked until I was 10 Miles away. That would have scared me half to death. I’m glad he shared his Story, and got out of there ok. I think if it would have been me, after I shined the light and saw the Eyes, the next thing I would have reached for would be Toilet Paper.😁👍👍

I grew up in the 60's-70's in Roseburg, Oregon. Those forrests are awesome but they can certainly make you feel alone!
Thanks.
Your video is back !
Great story, thanks Dan
Great video with just enough "music"

Nothing like a great Sunday afternoon with my 2 favorite RUclipsrs Base Camp Chris and Mr Ballen. Great story tonight. Keep them coming. Love from Maryland.
Another amazing post! With us invading their forest, cutting down huge swaths of trees and making tons on noise/pollution it's amazing the bigfoots didn't kill us all over the years. ps Next trip you guys go on it would be great to see a travel vlog! Best to you and your family, from Colorado!
Grew up in Humboldt. Family came there on the Oregon trail. There are creatures out there.
❤No doubts in my mind...😮 thx Daniel 😊
Rest assured, I would never have to think about what I would do, if I was alone in a dark forest! I would never intentionally do that! That’s what you’re for Chris! Keep hiking!!
Mt Hood is 11,250 ft elevation btw. Just sayin'......
I think he got Mt rainier confused with Mt hood lol
A caretaker alone in the woods with a stranger? Didnt knpw that was a thing. You lived in the same home with him?
😂
Probably willow
Those were some good mushrooms
Course you whipped out the smartphone and took a picture, right??
You been smokin that moon cabbage again, haven't you??
Shine a light at some animal in the night and the eye might glow. Yuh think???
Missed this last night. Watching at work 😬 thanks again Chris. Best bigfoot guy EVER !
Sasquatch Chronicles shared one of your videos on their blog. I loved it and have subscribed and I’m hitting that like button! Great channel!! Thank you! Got your playlist going for the scary camp stories and sharing it far and wide. You do amazing work. Hope we see you a over a million subs soon.

I’ve heard the part of the drums before somewhere. Did you tell a story similar with drum at a logging site?
The other story involving a logging site had empty drums partly crushed in the middle and I think damaged equipment.
Great story Chris. Wow 1968!
Great story brother! Just found your channel. I will be a regular from now on. Thank you so much for your efforts.
Hey! Newberry Volcanic Monument. I've been there. I saw that waterfall too. I spent the week about 3 to 5 miles to the west on the Deschutes River. I heard something strange early in the morning.
Your beer analysis reminds me of my son-in-law. He sells cigars to cigar stores and many of those stores are in Liquor Stores. While he is there telling the owners about the difference in cigars, they exchange information about the different beers! He has a world of knowledge now! Maybe he’ll take up telling stories???😂🍺(He lives in Washington State)
Thank you Chris!
Thoroughly enjoyed this, very easy listening, can't wait to hear more storytelling from here.
Just subd...from Australia 🇦🇺

I love in Eugene, Oregon. I'm also a long distance solo backpacker. Over never had any experiences like that. But I never assume that it couldn't happen. Hence why I i always carry protection.
