Alex Brandon's melodies have so much soul in them, the soundtrack really gave Deus Ex an unforgettable atmosphere. No doubt one of the best video game composers in history, I wish he did more soundtracks these days!
Very awesome remix of one of the best tracks from the original Deus Ex. This level was... interesting. Nicolette's comentary made it really feel like you were exploring the past. There's almost a tragic nostalgia to it. I loved the original version of this song, I felt it fit so well, and I think this version does too.
So glad that i discovered an abandoned CD (by elder bro) with Deus Ex game on it in 2005. I was shocked at what this game has to offer. Training level was too much for me at first in my young age. So dark feeling was brought up. Reran it few weeks later just to see what gem it actually is. Can never stop thinking about it as soon as i hear a second of any in-game or remixed songs. It's truly a pain!
Bogulez No No. I love soundtrack from the first Deus Ex better than from HR. It's just this remix isn't that great in my opinion. Heck, in general I love original Deus Ex better than HR.
Same here, I'm not as big on remixes as the originals, usually. But OCR has made some utter gems that are just plain incredible. As for this particular track, I wrote the original (with Michiel) and I like it better, myself :)
Getting memories of running around Nicolette DuClare's home right now. Her in-game commentary made the level even more fun to play.
*****
Try to imagine if the level has been remastered for modern times.
"Some conspiracy, huh? They couldn't even control little Nicolette"
Tony the Chang look after Deus Ex Revision on steam...
*receiving memories.. bleepity bloop* 🤖
@@Daniel_Delayne Perhaps even occasional messages from Icarus?

years later this still keeps on giving

A simply amazing sound
One of the rare remixes that is just as good, if not better than the original.
Still losing myself in the vibes of this in 2024
Oh Gods, thank you for giving me ears.
this piece is so quality. transporting
This is a very high quality remix, amazing stuff.
Yeah, also The Synapse remix, you should listen
So many deus ex remixes lately. All so good too.
Reinstalled.
I'm sure TB has played this song before :D
He was the one who introduced this to me. May him rest in peace.
Sublime perfection.
fantastic
I will be born the 17th of March 2029.
This reminds me of Blade Runner... happens the same with "Deus Ex Invisible War 'Tears in Rain"
0:18 - 0:26 really reminded me of Hotel Dusk, or perhaps its sequel, Last Window.
But my god, this is a good remix, gonna have to find the original.
One day, I played this song when sleeping.
this video has a 144p option on it. fir for only ultrahigh def 8bit music im assuming.
Cyberpunk? Nah deus ex iis so far better!
It is meh.
Is it correct to assume that u prefer HR to the original? :/
Bogulez No

Fair enough
Bogulez No
Remixes in general aren't my thing. I find some good ones but not often. Happy new year to you. :)
