Nice! It does what it does very well. It’s a good way to cleanly amplify whatever your playing thru it whether that’s a clean guitar, pedals, or something thru the aux. Thanks for watching. And Congrats!
I might get the 15w version. I need an affordable practicing amp until I can save for a nice valve amp (I like the HT5 MKII). Blackstar is releasing some nice stuff! From mini amps to valve.
Hey. Amazing Video man! I love the aesthetics of this amp tbh. But it doesn't have gain control like the blackstar fly 3. I just wanted to have an opinion to which one would be better. I'm so divided between the two.
Thank you! I really appreciate it. I agree with you about the gain control. It would be nice to be able to dial in a little less or more. Fortunately these amps take pedals incredibly! Even a little $20 eBay distortion gives you good results. But Fly 3 vs. Debut 10E 🤔 hmm. I’ve had the Fly3 for 3 years and I love it. It only has the 1 speaker but functionally, it’s basically the exact same as the Debut10E. The 10E is wayyy louder though, but the trade off is that it’s bigger and mains powered. If I had to pick one, I’d pick the Fly3 because it’s battery powered and I like that convenience. The volume maxes out at around 80db which is plenty loud for my bedroom playing.
@@sunnyhaair Thanks a lot man! Yes I guess the Fly 3 is plenty loud for a big room even. Small. Yes. It takes in batteries too which is a big plus. But the debut looks so damn awesome. So I guess it all comes down to preference. But this was amazing help. Thanks again. Subscribed and shared. ❤️✨
It's possible! It's subtle. The best place to hear it in this video is between 3:39 - 4:00 and the Diary of Jane outro. In both of those spots the Delay level is maxed out. It's on during the Guitar Rig segment too, but it's stacked with the other effects so not really noticeable.
@@sunnyhaair if you have any music projects you have out can you like em?cus your playing and the chords and notes you choose to play are literally what I wanted to play on a 6 string bass like thundercat or on a piano, but guitar sounfs nicer ngl with overdrive
You asking to hear my music is a huge compliment and I really appreciate it - thank you! I don’t have anything released that’s easily accessible at the moment, but I’m currently working on an instrumental album expanding on some of the bits I play here and I’ll be sure to let you know when it’s ready. I’m also close to posting the video where I show you those chords you asked about last month!
Personally, I prefer the Fly 3. They’re both so similar in sound and volume that I think the Fly 3 gets the win because it’s form factor and portability benefits me more. Thanks for watching!
@@sunnyhaair I would say, maybe you can showcase whichever overdrives and distortions suit it - and maybe one that doesn't, for comparison. Thanks - I think it will be a popular video!
Hey Sandeep sorry I took a bit to respond! I’ve used it intermittently over the last couple years and it’s held up perfectly well. If you haven’t bought yours yet I can demo some high gain sounds thru the hx stomp on it if you want
It’s tough to say cause it’s very picky with drive pedals. Here’s what I just wrote to a similar comment: “It’s a great pedal platform for effects life delays, reverb, chorus, etc. With distortion/overdrive it’s very very picky. I had 4 go to OD pedals: the MXR 5150, Apex Preamp, BE-OD Deluxe, and Abasi Pathos. The Pathos was the best match for the amp. The BE OD Deluxe was a close second, and the other two were - in my opinion- unusably bright.” With all that said, I don’t have a DS1 anymore, but I do have a DS1 clone at home I’ll test out tonight and write back to you.
@@sunnyhaair thank you so much Sunny, I have a ds-1 and a Yamaha Ga 10 amp, I’ll hopefully sell the amp this week and buy a The 10 W blackstar. Would love to hear your opinion. Looking forward to your reply :)
I bought Debut 10e today. Actually went to buy Marshall 10G. After playing both amps with a Jackson guitar i considered to bring 10e home. Better practice amp in my openion. After comming home my Strat just sings with this amp.
Thank you! More videos are coming! I’ve got a couple PRS guitars, a handful of Epiphones, and even a new amp recently. Just dealing with some personal issues that caused the delay.
Thanks! I would pick the Katana Mini over this if you’d want to take advantage of the battery powered feature. Battery powered amps are great! My Fly3 is honestly my most used amp of the last 3 years. Other than that, I’d stick with the Debut since it’s got 2 speakers as opposed to one and generally speaking, more speakers = more air moved = a more rounded out sound that’s perceived louder. That makes the Debut much more flexible for micing (especially with a condenser) and media purposes since you’ve got a better soundstage and imaging.
Hey there thanks for watching! This one doesn’t specifically have a battery input, but it could work plugged in to an inverter or generator or something supplying the proper voltage like that.
I can’t confirm that it sucks when you use headphones because it’s gonna depend on the headphones. With my Avantone Mixphones and the Focal headphones it sounds just like what you can hear from 3:33 to 4:44 (that’s recorded thru the headphone output). If I were to plug in low quality consumer headphones it would probably sound pretty bad just cause the lower frequencies and mids would be off. I haven’t used it in a while, but I don’t think I had any issues with the volume being too low. If anything, I think it was too loud. I’ll check it out with headphones again soon and write back if there’s any volume issues I notice. Thanks for watching!
Chohkri Yulis. According to Blackstar they’re “an updated release of the LT Echo series with refined tones and new cosmetics” so in my opinion (and based on my experience with the Fly 3, I think the ISF control is broader & more responsive than the LT Echo series.
