Because debian-titus is installed on top of debian testing, I use it on my Kali install for work. I like the interface way better than the stock interface.

Merry Christmas Chris! I'll be playing with Debian-titus in a VM. The whole window manager thing is intriguing, but have had issues with running Handbrake GUI with them. Thanks for the link to Debian testing, it's a PITA to find! I hope to switch to plain Arch or Debian soon. Manjaro is getting too heavy handed in their approach to Arch for even my basic understanding of linux.
That’s a cool way to do it. I am building a new system and I was think about using arch or Ubuntu server and adding my own desktop but I think I like this better…
I am having an issue with that. Whichever de I choose, the display manager service of that particular de just stops again and again. I am even unable to get to the busybox shell(Ctrl+alt+f1) so that I can try tinkering around systemctl to fix display manager, it just goes blank. Dunno what to do🥲
Right on! There is only one Debian, and nevermind the cute Toy Story Theme (theirs a true backstory of why that's a thing for Debian) but it's still my tried and true no matter how many times I've tried to run an Ubuntu distro in its place! Edit* Nice work on your own sub-distro, for a while I loved peppermint, then I tried Sys76, but lately I've disregarded the theming given I usually run headless unless the project requires or benefits from a desktop, but like many I've been wanting to see the next successors to the latter two mentioned for desktop Deb based distros..
I'm not sure how to achieve this, but if I may, I would redirect your attention to Kali Linux in WSL. They have their own GUI for WSL. Maybe you can tweak it a bit and put on your own WM or DE.
Thanks Chris. Another great video and a solid choice with Debian. But you say "let's install Debian Testing" and then your script pulls the packages from Sid?
Pretty cool project! I have been a Debian guy for many years. But even it installs a lot of stuff I would rather wasn't so integral that you lose the desktop to get rid of it. I look forward to a version of your project that is a little closer to my troubleshooting abilities. Merry Christmas!
