I've said to myself the most dangerous enemy Syken will face that may ruin the flawless run is a misclick, but apparently not today, nice work! And for anyone dying to get some Xcom in between uploads, I'd highly suggest the criminally underviewed Army of Two run. See where the legend of Hogbite was born and how he earned his rest from this run long ago.
49:36 the last enemy was actually the Berserker Queen and not a turret. There's also a bug that when an Alien Ruler escapes, the game will keep cycling through the "Alien Activity" phase including the UI notification, even if there are no other aliens.
I long ago learned not to use the mouse. My personal favorite bug was a mimic beacon flying halfway across the screen activating multiple packs including an alien ruler. It also prevented the damage reduction of the pack I was currently killing.
@@SykenPlays I was in the lower lefthand corner of the map for a facility, which I guess was implied because it activated the ruler. For almost all actions, I no longer use the lefthand mouse button. I will hit [enter] or use the number keys. I hate the end of the game where the actions go beyond the numbers as the mimic beacon was a double left click when I pressed it once.
@@ronaldking1054sometimes the number keys lie too! I have pressed overwatch and gotten hunker down before. Stressful. Other times I have selected one enemy and my solder has begun aiming at another so you need to pay patiently to avoid this stuff!
Daily xcom?!?! Hurray! At 9:20 you absolutely had remote start selected, and game just decided you wanted a claymore instead. That was truly unfortunate.
I’m convinced that thing with the claymore not remote start, and the DMs movement, were not errors but bugs. Maybe a conflict with one of your mods? I know this run is vanilla but I assume you still have many mods subscribed even if not actively using them right now. It was inconsequential and you got another well deserved win.❤
The misclicks and bugs totally would have seen me reload... but then I remember its Ironman! Excellent save. Was this the same play session you killed the dark VIP as well?
It is working very well. Makes the early game a bit more difficult, but gets you further down the research and provides more breakthroughs. I did it in several of my playthroughs.

With so many bugs in one mission, I'd just restart it.
I don't think it really "counts" as xcom when it *doesn't* glitch/bug out at least a little during a campaign :) I believe there is an achievement for killing a Ruler when it tries to run so that action definitely will trigger overwatch.
Not really, the idea of the run is to get as many flawless missions as possible and to demonstrate clean Xcom play. I hope it is living up to that standard :)
when DM was sent out "by a bug" and triggered the packs in the building ( at ruclips.net/video/szYucAPDdA0/видео.html ) you can definitely hear the mouse click ... the actual mouse cursor is far out on the location where the remote start happened, but obviously this was out of DMs range so DM was sent as his movement range allowed. This was a misclick, not a bug. I'm not sure about the incident before that, the "claymore instead of remote start" ... you can hear two clicks, too, within a split second ... maybe your mouse buttons are bit oversensitive ... or your fingers too tired? It's a thing I had noticed watching this whole run ... during the wait times between rounds or on enemy movement, very often there's audible mouse clicks ... obvously during these times the player has no control over the game so the clicks go to nirvana, but it's a thing that caught my attention. Maybe you're a bit nervous, or have otherwise shaky hands? Or maybe you have aquired a "tick", or a subconcious coping strategy to randomly click ... similar to the CS players pulling out their knives?

It was a blessing in disguise, could have been worse :)

Okay, that is a good observation.
Oh, that remote start at 3:00 was so satisfying. Love when it gets multiple enemies
Yes, me too :)
Merry Christmas Syken!
Merry Christmas
Loving the playthrough, thank you for the good content :)
Glad you enjoy it!
Those were some brutal bugs - nicely navigated!
Thanks mate.
Great couple of missions.
I am glad that you like the mid-game :)

That is a great bug, had that many times…
And every time I regretted throwing it that far.

For the Christmas time, yes :)
I have had the game mistake a claymore for a "call skyranger" :(
Neat!

You might be right, there were certainly a few bugs. Thanks for the feedback Paul.
Murphy looks like he's been having a mid life crisis since his mid twenties.
LOL
good one
I heard a mouse click for the DM, terribly bad luck after that impossible claymore throw.
Sometimes it is just bad luck, but we‘ll have a string of good luck to even it out in the future, I am sure
The misclicks and bugs totally would have seen me reload... but then I remember its Ironman! Excellent save. Was this the same play session you killed the dark VIP as well?
Well, you know that this channel is not reloading ... I am suffering through :)
My last two attempts I got the ufo attack really early. I don’t think I’d even had resistance comms. I may build it really early
There are plenty of options to build it earlier, if you are willing to postpone other stuff instead
Any thoughts on getting laboratory really early in the game?

No worries Tomasz,
we will get through it,even with the bugs

Okay, good to know

So if that overwatch shot had hit your Templar the run would have been over?

Auto-throwing claymore and auto-moving scout. Very strange behaviour, never saw it.
Me neither, it was a bit of a weird interaction.

Thanks for the investigation :)
