Hunter Valley Vlog: Unseen Scenic Roads During Sydney's Winter!
Join us on an incredible 3-day winter road trip to Hunter Valley, packed with scenic beauty, hidden gems, and unforgettable experiences. Here's a day-by-day breakdown of our adventure:
Day 1: The Scenic Journey Begins
We started our journey with a pit stop at Windsor for a delicious breakfast and a glimpse of the historic wheel from 1834. From there, we took an offbeat, picturesque route to Hunter Valley, leaving the usual roads behind. Our first stop? The tranquil Hunter Valley Gardens! With the off-season charm, the gardens were almost deserted, making it feel like our private paradise. Imagine visiting during Christmas-it’s adorned with magical lights and festive decorations. We ended the day at a cosy Airbnb with BBQ, UNO games, and laughter under the stars.
Day 2: Sunrise, Wildlife, and Wine
The day kicked off with a mesmerising sunrise time-lapse. Our next stop was the Hunter Valley Wildlife Park, where we got up close with Australia’s unique animals. In the evening, we indulged in wine tasting at a vineyard, followed by local beer and a game of pool. The perfect mix of nature, flavours, and fun!
Day 3: Adventure and Breathtaking Views
After a late start (thanks to the previous night’s fun), we had a hearty breakfast before heading out for some adventure. We tackled the rugged off-road trail to Polkobin Lookout, an uphill walk that rewarded us with jaw-dropping panoramic views. The journey was a bit challenging without a 4WD, but absolutely worth it. With hearts full and cameras filled with memories, we returned home to Sydney, reminiscing about an unforgettable winter escape.
