Gannet bait release available from dronefishing.com/ Shop dronefishing.com/store/ Facebook / dronefishingsa Installing a Gannet bait release on the DJI Mavic Pro
You have Come so far this video, The Gannet is one of the best things you bought to drone fishing. I also bought the mavic pro and the gannet because I have a spinal condition that restricts me from casting, I can now go out there and fish again. Before I got my drone and Gannet. I use to avoid going fishing with my mate because I had to get them to cast out for me. It use to be embarrassing, But now mates are coming to me to take there baits out, I highly recommend getting a gannet and drone if you want to get your baits out further. These guys have a gannet for nearly every drone.
I ordered one about 5 days ago, it arrived today (6th November 2018). I live in the Kimberley in Western Australia. The unit came all the way from Johannesburg. That is an incredible delivery time. Cheers guys....Just waiting on my drone to arrive now.
I had to tie a loop on both ends of the dropper line then one end to the Mavic & the other looped through the main line so it would not slip. I would like to try your set up but could not find the "Crimplets" that you mention in your video. Where do they sell them & what is the proper name. Thanks. Again, I love your product.
Great video. What is the correct weight of the unit ,including its own battery and rubber band, when it is mounted on the Mavic? Your video states 44 g while on your web page it lists as under 50g (which 44g falls). But it also lists it as 0.2kg (200g) further down under "Additional Information". The exact weight is important as it factors into how much you can carry as you know. So is it 44g, 50g or 200g ? Thanks
Howie Greene 44g is the last one we put on a scale but please don't be upset if one comes in at 46g. There is many parts in it and we allowed for some tolerance by stating "under 50g" We have lifted 700g plus the Gannet with a Mavic. The video is on our Facebook page facebook.com/dronefishingSA link to the exact video below. facebook.com/DroneFishingSA/videos/1386888734702940/ But we will never recommend you to lift that much with it that is why we say max 450g additional load.
Gents, if you are demonstrating a Mavic Pro Drone Bait release mechanism the most important points to include are 1) where and how to fit it to the drone - which you did demonstrate and of most importance of all, 2) to show the actual release apparatus of this kit - which unbelievably you did not show????? Don't you think that us fishermen would be interested in seeing the actual sliding/rotating (???) mechanism that releases the bait for this Gannet Release kit? On a scale of 0-10 for demonstrating your kit you rate only a 2 (IMO). I was seriously interested in buying one but now am considering going to a competitor! Please carefully think it through for any future demonstrations. Cheers.
Cheslyn Harris an easy 450g Guys fly out up to 6 baited hooks at once with the Mavic Pro. See the other videos on our chanel in one we fly out a live bait with it.
Hello there. There's drones cost only $200 like bugs 4w gps and others that have on,of lights you could make unit for and for sure your sales will increase heaps I'm saying that because the mavic it cost nearly $2000 here in Australia, not everybody can afford it not just that losing $200 drones out in the ocean better than $2000 😱. Heaps of people lost dji drones in the ocean. Thanks
yourgo najah we have the Gannet Sport that fits many drones that does not need lights on/off. It is a very popular little release used for fishing. These units are quite expensive due to their low volume, on less popular drones it would not be viable to make them.
Very much South African, and the patent is also ZA.Now we South Africans don't do USD as our president turned our Rand into sh!t, so where can we South Africans buy it with our Rand ?
Johan Sevenster you can buy it direct from our $ based store and it will cost you about R2400 after the conversion. If you want to pay in Rands just google Gannet bait release and many of our local dealers will com up tops.
Terrible installation video. Just saying "now clip on this" isn't helpful at all.. needs to be way slower and actually zoom in to a detailed shot when explaining things

That's genius, especially using a light sensor for release and incorporating to the units LED's!
How does the actual light sensor work as a release? I'm confused. Sorry
Just received your line drop release for my Mavic Pro. It works great! Really impressed the grandkids. I had to set it up a bit differently i.e.
I had to tie a loop on both ends of the dropper line then one end to the Mavic & the other looped through the main line so it would not slip. I would like to try your set up but could not find the "Crimplets" that you mention in your video. Where do they sell them & what is the proper name. Thanks. Again, I love your product.
I ORDERD BUT DID NOT RECIEVE CHARGER . DID YOU RECIEVE YOURS?
Use a 3 way swivel.

Gannet - Drone Fishing
Thanks for getting back to me. An additional 450g of lifting weight after the Gannet Bait Release is mounted is great.

Great but why so expensive ,all of 20 bucks to make?
Howzit, if bought from the US store is it shipped from the US or locally? Just wondering about delivery times.
prestonpchelp hello, that depends where you are, we ship out of South Africa where we manufacture all Gannets.
