Oh my gosh, I thought I was okay at Halo on xbox. Most of my time was on Halo 3. My friends were far better and my uncle, I think a genuine argument could be made he could have played pro. But when we played CoD, I was top dog in my play group. Then everyone transitioned to pc and we all got a halo game to play together. I proceeded to steamroll them mercilessly for all the years they beat me. Best revenge arc of my life. Keyboard and mouse for life.

I honestly didn't even do my climb. I mean, I did for Mando but after I jumped straight into E8 with mods. Now I don't even play without the E8 modifiers. It just makes things a bit more thought provoking and for someone coming up on their 700th hour, a break from the mundane is really nice.
both me and the friend that i run co-op eclipse runs with set all our abilities to mouse buttons, didn't know it was weird. we both set our controls independently from each other too
I played maybe one run of RoR2 with the default bindings, rebound all the skills to the mouse and never looked back

Went from exclusively playing monsoon directly to eclipse 8 (skipped straight 8 to it with unlock all) - and won my first attempt using Huntress with a band/atg/blast shower build. 300 hours played total. Watching your vids has been great for my macro itemization and stage looting. Might have lost if I didn't roll those pots ;)

the discussion of KBM vs Controller for some games on PC made me remember that i suck at playing Dishonored with KBM, and tend to play with Controller solely for that game and Metroidvanias like Hollow Knight
With everybody talking about Rex on the start, Not gonna lie hes pretty fun, could be friendly to new players too, its just his sprint that looks weird but you get used to it i guess. His m1's heal is pretty enjoyable too, and you can sprint in between shots, makes him a little hard die in early game, his seed barrage is a fun long range skill with some aoe to boost, I even printed 20 tougher times with 10 mags just to spam it (omg my fingers hurt after that) it even shreds enemies early game 450% for like 1 second . His shift is definitely not fun but when you get some speed , you become reverse acrid , except you take fall damage, both of his R's are pretty mid for me but i prefer the default one to stop enemies from moving, mostly malachite mobs.
People really do be overrating how rex isnt enjoyable (aside from fingers hurting)
Dog cam is perhaps the best part of the video. I'm here for the gameplay and staying for the dog.

9:28 I took light flux pauldron on some of my Arti runs. I'd only do it if I got a couple mocha or syringes pretty early on. To me it felt like with just a little attack speed, you can mostly negate the negative effect and just get free CD reduction.

Had the idea of rare entity or shrine to spawn that gave you the option of changing character abilities to its default or alt mid round.. not always practical but could make some fun switch ups

i hate the lunar shop so i never use it but sometimes ill take them from lunar pods. i feel as if those are fair, theyre random items and they do take your stage credits

Cool run though, absolutely robbed at the end there.
I did my E8 climb using Lunar items, but i'd only use what I got from pods, and you can use the shop without rerolls. No newt altars. There are some powerful lunar items, but locking them to pods and rare blue portal spawns means that getting an actually good lunar item is as rare as some of the best legendaries. Plus how is the lunar shop crazy, yet people constantly use the cauldrons for items they otherwise would not get without spending lunar coins? Insert "that doesn't seem fair" meme
The "who cares" regarding the mods is important- just play the game however you want. Its your fun:3

I've gotten to the point in the E8 climb that I'm on to the characters I don't really like playing. Railgunner takes too much brainpower, I don't really like Acrid or Rex, and Arti and Merc are just not my thing
i know you feel like you have to play them, but you dont. it's okay. that being said i feel a lot of people tend to learn to love the characters they climb with, so it might be worth giving them a real good shot
@RacesVideos I have a baseline of E5 on every character, so I have played all of them at least a little. My problem is now the game is actually getting hard, cause I'm now doing the harder difficulties, but with the characters that I suck with
if its just about being bad, give yourself a little time and patience, you might surprise yourself and you might end up being proud that you put in a little effort and didnt give up before you got some cool results. everyones bad at first, dont worry
