Video Notes: 1) This video has chapters for those who want to skip around. 2) This train is based on the real AC&W passenger trains. This is NOT a fantasy paint scheme.
These look so cool Lionel knocked these out of the park! I hope they do more of this railroad! Also love the different types of lighting you’re doing for the track Eric looks so cool at night!!
I went on the LCCA excursion, and it was quite an experience. There are 2 more cars that Lionel has not produced. I brought the baggage car with me, and Robert Menzies signed it for me!
Glad you finally did a video on this beautiful set of diesels Eric. I love metallic purple the Aberdeen Carolina & Western has. Looks great with the passenger cars running behind it. Great video Eric!
Awesome set! The blue cycle of your “mood lighting” section was super cool and reminds me of the John Allen nighttime photos! Very cool passenger cars! I recently purchased the UP cars for the Big Boy and really love the sound car features. Having trouble keeping them coupled but think I can manage.
I have the set but didn’t order the 300 and 301. I look might need to get them. I will say that the reason the last 2-Car set was late was because the paint didn’t match very well and Lionel did the right thing which was have them done to match the engine, B unit and the first 2-car set. This is definitely a hot commodity.
I really enjoyed how you placed the camera on top of the B-unit, as the train traversed through the tunnels and bridge. I felt like I was watching a video from Pentrex or Video Rails! That was so much fun to watch those segments!! Will you have more camera views, in future videos, from atop the trains, whether from the engine, or perhaps from a car near an observation car or caboose?
I just got all of my passenger cars etc. (same as in this video, but pulled by the E8 AA) on the track. It seems odd to me that the back half of the "Pinehurst" car has nothing in it. You can see the blue molding inside the car. It's as if Lionel forgot to install the passenger seating back there. And, my observation car lighting was hinky. Disassembly and testing uncovered a crappy two pin connection to the LED strip. I removed it, soldered the red/black wires directly to the connector and boom...all working again.
@@Ericstrains because I probably won’t be able to watch it in the evening because I’m supposed to be working on the polar express train that is in my area.
It seems more and more model railroaders aren't running anything prototypical anymore. Just these fantasy and kind of outlandish paint schemes. Except for Norm.
What about this is not prototypical to you? The ACWR have these cars and engines. They've started a Christmas train using these cars and have them available to charter on the railroad.
It took me all of 7 minutes to find pictures of all the rolling stock and locomotives in this set IRL on tracks and in yards. Only so long because of the quantity to search. Do your research before talking about things you don't understand.

This is an OUTSTANDING train. It's also an OUTSTANDING video.

Indeed!
@@Ericstrains…and, I preordered a CAB3 so long ago that I’d forgotten about it. I stumbled on my deposit receipt quite by accident. Holy Cow!
Did you have any journal box axle covers fall off of your 18 inch cars?
Did RBP Trains influence the "Max Speed" lol
No, it's the other way around lol.
train looked good in the night scenes.
271 is ex-Norfolk Southern F unit 4271 A and 276 B unit is Also Ex-Norfolk Southern numbered 4276
This train is very much real I live just a few miles from it.

@@Ericstrains because I probably won’t be able to watch it in the evening because I’m supposed to be working on the polar express train that is in my area.
Because I wanna ask you two questions that I missed out on the last one I promise I won’t send them several times again?
The 18in cars all had to be shipped back to China due to the paint being hot pink
Me being on disability trains help an so do your videos
Awesome!
While I like it, it looks very nice but! Those two aluminum cars just kinda ruin the overall effect. Just sayin. Great video Eric.
I like it when a train has cars that don’t match
It’s realistic, the AC&W OCS is a mix of different railroads passenger cars

It's a model of a real train, what isn't prototypical?
whats wrong with unprototypical?
Um, it's based on a real train.
