It is always exciting to see one man's visions brought to life, since those kinds of projects can often be utterly disconnected from matters of checkboxing for mass appeal and just be free to do their own thing. I would caution against immediately assuming something to be like something else just on a teaser but it feels like Land before time mixed with Avatar and a pinch of Thunder Cats of all things.
It's so rare to see these animals depicted in a way that respects the actual science behind them, let alone while simultaneously embracing the wildness of cartoons. I adore this. As a writer you should know how cliche and overused this basic storyline is. Random characters get magic and fight random characters that are evil for no reason. Just why. They could've done something more interesting. Cmon.

It is too much to ask for completely original ideas these days. All the true original ideas have been used already, all we can do is to modify the original ideas and wrap them in a new covering and with a new bow. This is a MUCH better idea than the vast majority I have seen. I love every part of this idea and I am behind it completely.

Don't get me wrong, I wan't see this be good, I want to see it become fun to watch, but... I cringed and clicked out of the video almost imediatly, went back in, cringed and went out again, then back in and watched till the end. The animation is great, but the plot seems flat, and the voices were the reason for the first time I left. (I got used to the voice) It has potential, but it requires the creaters to be willing to switch some stuff up, like papa smurf and the villain designs. (I won't say the plot needs that much change, since I don't know, maybe they can pull off the "gather champions to beat big bad and army" There'll still be people who loves it no matter what, but probably not enough and probably not me. Also the reason it hasn't blown up, is because you either have to be subscribed to people who looks for this stuff, or be an enjoyer of watching shortfilms made by independent creators...

Looking at the dinosaur i notice some in acuracys like the size but it brings out the best of both the inacurate depictions and the acurate depictions of the velociraptor

I’m a huge fan of dinosaurs & fantasy, & this is a dream series for me. The characters & animation looks amazing. As much as I love the Land Before Time, this stays true to the biology of the dinos species. It’s also a bit more graphic, which I like as some animations sugarcoat a lot of things. Really looking forward to seeing it.❤❤❤❤

This is a premise a child would spout suddenly with no warning and I kind of just love the sincerity of it. This is like those weird 80s cartoons but without the cynicism of existing to boost toy sales. Godspeed.
There is just. This is so much and it’s absolutely wonderful. Now this is a series meant for both old and young audiences. Animation reminds me of Voltron but it feels so much more alive and vibrant. Can’t wait to hear and see more about this.

So talon’s Magic seems to have an air theme to it, the triceratops has fire, ankylo has earth, tyranno has some kind of poison, the hadrosaur has nature, the pterosaur’s is either light-themed or just really fast, the mosasaur is obviously water, and brachio is lightning. Gotta say I dig this selection of both dinos and powers for this series, really looking forward to how it all plays out!
Oh I love this! The animation and character design is what I’m in total love with. I couldn’t care less about the magic or the humanoid dragon Dino’s. Their awkward standing design is strangely reminiscent of that one Toy Story Dinosaur Kingdom short I remember watching. But I’m all for the chunky raptor designs! Like oh my goodness they are much more huggable now I need this merch or plushies!

Crazy thing is, I’m currently in the process of writing a story with a very similar premise of prehistoric mammals with elemental abilities protecting the planet from being destroyed by demons. I guess since the lore for my story had the mammals succeed those roles from dinosaurs, does that make this the prequel?🤣
It is a trope that has been used multible times, I believe there is a Netflix show my cousin ones watched, where a frog with supernatural powers goes out to find some champions who (ofcourse) also has those powers, to stop some evil army and their magical queen from (doing something I don't remember, probably killing everyone).

It is a trope that has been used multible times, I believe there is a Netflix show my cousin ones watched, where a frog with supernatural powers goes out to find some champions who (ofcourse) also has those powers, to stop some evil army and their magical queen from (doing something I don't remember, probably killing everyone).
yeah i also have a story about magic dinos, but mine focuses on a sort've olympics game. a tournament to see who's the best fighter on the island. i love this trailer so far and can't wait to see where it's going 😁
