    In this webinar, subject-matter experts will discuss a technique called transfer path analysis (TPA), which is used to understand the noise and vibration performance of an assembled system. In this technique, experimental or simulation data, or a combination of both data types, is used to analyze the interactions between sources and subsystems to identify key pathways that control noise and vibration performance, and both acoustic and structural pathways can be meticulously documented. The recorded data can then be used to predict and evaluate the performance of pre-assembled systems to optimize the noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) performance of the entire system.

    Peter Schaldenbrand is an Application Engineer in the physical testing group of Siemens Digital Industries Software. For 23 years, he has assisted customers with various types of testing, including: acoustics, modal analysis, rotating machinery dynamics, durability acquisition, and transfer path analysis. Peter has a BSME from the University of Michigan.
