You went to a large restaurant after they kicked all the customers out, and concerted it into an underground club. There was no advertising. You had to know someone who knew. There was no cover charge, no pre-mixed sets. Just hundreds of random strangers who happened to become friends for the night.

Awe... No. I was at the Club for what soothed my Soul, moved my body and made me feel whole, the Music. No, drinking, drugs or hooking up. Only there for the Music. In 2013 I took my son to a Underground Club to "DubB Fix" in Springfield, MO. (Look it up on Facebook) To give him an idea of his mom being a Club Baby and her passion for Music. By the way I was 46 years old in 2013. In 1983 I started out in Hollywood at the Odyssey.
Ya, it was a time of our season of peace and love and I really enjoyed the era and so miss the meeting of people from all walks of life and back then I remember going to Gay Trance scene and there were mature men there and youth went to raves where they would not be carded and I would cross between both and felt accepted everywhere I went. I remember I had a Deaf partner at the time and he and I would go and take a large mixed group of Hearing and Deaf to the scene and what a blast as we joining in the fun and each time we would go out there would be few other people added to the call list to join with us until we had a very large group meeting a couple times a month and most the parties lasted until way after the sun came up at an after hours bar and some cities had 24 hour clubs in Atlanta, GA- Milwaukee and Madison, WI- Chicago, Ill- etc...... I still listen to the older music and have much of it as DJ's were often overly happy to had out a CD to our group with their interest in us having so many Deaf people with us and several put us all on a door list where ever they were spinning, that does not happen all that often anymore. Ya the cell phones and people being busy on them and standing around can be a big downer now, sure was not like that back then. Oh @Cindy Brewster, I turn 50 in April of this year and I started going out when I was 19 after I moved away from home where my parents lived in a one mile square town in Florida and over 120 miles from the nearest real city. I finally had found my freedom and was truly happy after moving away. I will never get the Progressive Trance out of my system!
About 9 years ago I heard this artwork for the first time. A few years later I had gone in search of the video again, found it and just enjoyed it. Now in 2023 I just have to admit, this mix is unbeaten terrific!
UTTERLY PERFECT!!!! I've read so many comments on RUclips where so many people compare the old vs new and there is an undeniable fact that the oldschool will always remain true and purest to its form. There is amazing music old and new out there.... But something about these old beats makes you feel that the world of yesterday was so much better. There is no lie in this music, there's only beats that make you dream and take you on a special journey (you all know which place I'm talking about). I fell asleep listening to Digital Ocean last night & had an amazing dream that I was listening to some beautiful music - other stuff was happening but I can’t remember it now - anyway I gradually woke up from the dream, and the music came with me, and this mix was playing (25 Style - Give Me a Sign). It was 3:45am but I had to let the mix play out before I went back to sleep 😴🙌😎
Agreed! Most people would consider the physical limitations of the vinyl format to be a negative thing, but I find these qualities to be a good reason to collect and listen to them.

zaah haaz Yes, the praise goes to those who created the sound tracks. this classic trance is not merely a "Whitman's sampler" of digital sound effects, they are so well structured, composed and the various tracks in a single recording fade in, fade out, subtle little low volume quirky sounds underlying the melodics and baseline, and most of all, this was all ORIGINAL, when it was new so futuristic. I know very few people who love trance, the reason is that 98% of the population let authority figures do their thinking for them, being truly original was always regarded with contempt by mainstream society who need authority figures to do their thinking for them, my apologies for not being politically correct, i call it as I see it with no intent to hurt anyone's feelings,

Excellent work DjYilmars, this mix is just perfect. Not realistic or fair to compare different generations or genres of music, but I also know the class of 2015 will never really understand the magic of the true vinyl DJ killing it at 3am on a dusty turn-table in front of kids that didn't care about anything but the music.

so geile lieder. errinnert mich so extrem an meine zeit 92-99 discothek sound. waren das geile wochenenden. vor allem die aftehours der hammer da waren. sonntags sich alles was rang und namen hatte da vereint hat um zum abschluss noch einmal alles aus sich raus gehen zu lassen. wahnsinns mix!!!!!!

totally agreed, this is true electronic music, back when DJ's were inspired by feeling and weren't strung out idiots but true musicians regardless of any crux. This is what electronic music was all about. It breaks my heart to see what it has become. There are a few new ones that keep the old vision alive but not many at all.

Excellent work DjYilmars, this mix is just perfect. Not realistic or fair to compare different generations or genres of music, but I also know the class of 2015 will never really understand the magic of the true vinyl DJ killing it at 3am on a dusty turn-table in front of kids that didn't care about anything but the music.

DJ yilmars... du hast einfach ahnung von trance/techno.... das was heute kommt reicht nicht bei weiten an den oldschool shit ran was damals war...ds das du es reingestellt hast. war ne geile zeit , aber eben auch sehr drogenverseucht, ich bin sehr abestürzt, hab mich aber wieder gefangen was bleibt ist diese wunderbare Musik, und die geht auch clean :-) ds vielmals das du die alte zeit aufleben lässt, ich hab da sehr viele erinnerungen, und mit abstand ist es okay

so geile lieder. errinnert mich so extrem an meine zeit 92-99 discothek sound. waren das geile wochenenden. vor allem die aftehours der hammer da waren. sonntags sich alles was rang und namen hatte da vereint hat um zum abschluss noch einmal alles aus sich raus gehen zu lassen. wahnsinns mix!!!!!!

Much agreed with previous comments that most edm is overproduced and definitely over commercialized, however there still quality music being produced. totally agreed, this is true electronic music, back when DJ's were inspired by feeling and weren't strung out idiots but true musicians regardless of any crux. This is what electronic music was all about. It breaks my heart to see what it has become. There are a few new ones that keep the old vision alive but not many at all.
You should look up Arctic Moon. Alot of emotion in most of his songs imo.
