He sounds like he’s trying his best to sound happy and willing to help, but a bit of his frustration slips through the cracks and he quickly lets out that frustration when he’s alone. It’s a nice detail.

I think the choice of making the song itself upbeat even though it's the villain song is actually great, because it fits with the whole fake-nice persona he puts on for the rest of the kingdom. But then, the lyrics are really bitter. It actually suits both sides of him really well!

Both heroes give what they need and what they ask for, but take it for granted. I really hope for competent development of the antagonist, and not just “evil, because all my desires”
Crazy development for this antagonist. He started off truly benevolent, wanting to bring peace and prosperity to the kingdom he made after suffering such losses in life, but his success went to his head. Truly, he didn't mean for this to happen, but he deluded himself into thinking he was still a man of the people when really, it became all about maintaining his own status quo and was terrified of losing it. He was even willing to listen to his wife's council until his paranoia finally caught up with him. The fact is, it was more the book then Magnifico being evil.

I've only heard 40 seconds of this song, and I already want to put it on my Spotify playlist ;;)
Yes, I must admit, as my best friend showed me a song about King Magnifico today, I expected more, I know this guy is real evil and a dark sorcerer - the villain should be handsome and deep behind enemy lines and should show promise, but what does he have? -he sings and dances amazingly, real movement as he moves under the musical step. I've been listening to music for 14 years with my friend and I finally have a villainous song.
Ok but I kinda love him already XD It's been so long since we had a villain villain. No misunderstood or misjudged individual. Just a selfish "I am better then you" person. I really hope they keep him as a villain that stays evil till the end but the sneak peaks looked really good so far
Wasn’t expecting this more upbeat tone for a King Magnifico song, but it sounds really good so far. It would be cool to have a reprise of it too but in a darker tone
It will unfortunately not have a reprise form what I’ve seen in Apple Music. However it does have the possibility of becoming darker halfway through.
The full version is up on RUclips and it does seem to get darker around the 2 minute mark.
@@dylanpeddle6859 Really? I couldn’t find it. Where is it?
Edit: Never mind, I found it.
@@dylanpeddle6859 thanks for letting me know 🙂
@@sweetdreams1028 Your welcome
I mean, it’s Chris Pine. We all know it’s going to be awesome.
can't wait for the whole song tomorrow!
I THINK THIA MOVIE IS ACTUALLY GONNA BE REALLY GOOD AND IM ACTUALLY EXCITED ABOUT IT
Okay~ I'm getting a sort of childishly petulant vibe from this dude, i can roll with it. It kind of feels like what would've happened if Kuzco hadn't gotten reformed.
I didn’t think about that. But you definitely got a point there.
We havent had a villain song since Tangled and GOD this sounds so good already
I thought Moana had a decent villain song even if Tamatoa wasn’t the main bad guy.
@@caseysaisi3417true. He was technically a bad guy.
Some say that “Love is an Open Door” is a secret villain song.
@@narendramartosudarmo6112 I mainly meant a villain song sung by the main villain clearly stating their evil desires and wishes. Love is an Open Door is above anything a romantic duet since at that point in the film it isnt revealed Hans is the villain.
I really liked the songs. Though they sound so modern
I'm pretty sure this song is going to be one of my favourite songs from the movie! I also love singing songs like this too, so I'm looking forward to listening to the full version
It’s been a long time since we last had a villain song in the Disney animated canon. The last time we had for Mother Gothel in Tangled and Dr. Facilier in The Princess & The Frog.
This vocals were actually pretty good. The song grew on me over the days.
Its great to have a new villain song! We haven't had a villain's song since Mother Knows Best in Tangled.
❤❤❤ Never have I loved a villain song more 😊 Can't wait to hear more
Chris Pine you magnificent man you have a voice!!!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
OH MY GOSH! CHRIS PINE CAN SING?😂❤! IM SOO IN!
Thinking how catchy this song is
Kowalski: Why do the bad guys always get the good stuff
I AM. ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTED I HAVE BEEN WAITING TO KNOW IF WE HAVE A CHRIS PINE DISNEY VILLAIN SONG IN THIS MOVIE FOR MONTHS-
I feel like I'm really going to love this song! 🤩🤩🤩
Also, I REALLY need a video of this song and "You're Welcome" meshed together! It MUST HAPPEN! 😬😬😬
Not bad, I'm looking forward to the full song😁
I remember listening to Poor Unfortunate Souls (1989’s “Little Mermaid”), Be Prepared (1994’s “The Lion King”) and Mother Knows Best (2010’s “Tangled”). There's also Gaston (1991's "Beauty and the Beast") and Friends on the Other Side (2009's "The Princess and the Frog). I always loved listening to Gaston (song) and Be Prepared many times. This villain song has definitely become one of my favorites.
