I am trying to put the inner tie rod back in but it isnt that simple. Do i have to compress it back in?? the outer one goes right in...

i have the same truck as you, 1996 ram 1500 2wd, no lift kit, your tie rod end dropped in from the top, on my truck, it's installed from the bottom, the castle nut is on the top. the stock tie rod end was installed from the bottom. is it installed wrong?

I had the same shaking. All the wear/rubber items in my front end suspension needed to be replaced and it helped immensely. I also put on a steering box holding plate which also helped as well. When I just replaced my warped brakes and bearings (2500, and 3500 have old style bearings in the center of the rotor and mine is a 2500) i noticed my tie rod end boots are broken open. I had noticed a small return of the high speed shake. I am going to change the tie rods myself and definitely get an alignment which should fix my issue.

Looks like he used MOOG tie rod ends. You can get those anywhere (Napa, etc.)

2:30 its "rusting and seizing" (pronounced seez-ing, not s-eye-zing)

DO you believe this would fix the so called " Death Wobble"? I have a 95 dodge ram 2500 that shakes like crazy and pulls to the left hard at times, usually when I hit around 40 or 50. It just started happening frequently I just wasn't sure what to fix I don't want to get ripped off taking it somewhere. Thank you for the video and any feedback you may have.

Iccullus you probably need a sway bar.

Iccullus you need an alignment if it's pull to one side. Simple fix.
