Completely agree. The XXX is a beautiful car. I regret not buying one when it was for sale back then. I have almost a 100% brand new losi XX. I want to start a collection with the XXX buggy.
Kit build race cars are my favorite. I built a Team Losi JRX PRO SE when I was 14 and still stands as one of my greatest childhood memories, I’m really looking forward to this series. 👍🏼
Did you join RC kicks group I got a losi falcon tires and I got a kyosho Ultima for the ultimate experience I'm looking for a kyoso gold motor so I don't know I might start on the Kyosho before the losi I don't know I don't need a bachelor right now all right race car all I need is to have a project something to keep my mind a little occupied in the situation of situations looking for the girls situation I tried saying to the microphone Losi but say it real fast mine only says because it recognizes it Yahoo
Got a tamiya m06 lotus europa kit from the old man. I'd bought him 1 last year because we have a real 71 lotus s1 so having the tamiua was a must for us. Pretty sweet having such a rare car and having an rc of it 😎
@@bustedaw11 aww shucks I wish I had a tt02 911 as my race car I'd be happy with that but anyways enough about me I still can't believe u have a actual real lotas OMG that's rare
@@smellurfingerrcdejesus9176 well technically the old man does. He's had it since about 1985. I'm helping him restore it currently as he parked it while all us kids grew up. I'm a 36yo mechanic so its time to repay him.
Thanks Gav for another great year of RC movies, so happy to find your channel ( actually not too long after you started up). Keep it up, cannot wait to see what's coming in the new year.
The most important Team Losi car they made was the XX4. That's one you should really be looking for. I still race my TLR22 in rear motor configuration, I've got the esc tucked under the mount you've got yours on, it still leaves room to run a shorty battery, I run the Nosram super shorty batteries in mine.
ive still got 2 original 22s. the rear motor gearcases are impossible to find. stormer hobbies still has a good stock of parts and they might be one of the last to have them
I just found my old Team Losi RC at my Mom's house. I found several motors and gears too. I had an entire toolbox of parts I guess 🤷🏻♀️ I think I'm going to get a new battery and get it going again but since it's vintage I don't know if I should
@@RCKickschannel I got it going today!!! I picked up a new speed controller radio and LiPo battery and it came alive!!! I don't ever remember it being this fast though. Is it because I went from a Nickel Cad to a LiPo? This thing kicks!!! It's so smooth and straight too. It did cost me about $170 USD though. I hope that I got decent parts. I have no idea about this stuff anymore because last time I messed with this stuff was mid 90's. For radio I went with a TACTIC TTX300, Hobbywing Quicrun 1080 Brushed Elec Speed Controller and a Lectron Pro 5200mAh 35C and Lectron Pro Mini charger. Did I do okay??
Love the content, it’s good to see different makers, and love the older style bodies, I’m sure the new front cabs will grow on me though. I am partial to a KYOSHO electric inferno neo.
Wow, what a great looking buggy! And £50-60 for a 13.5t brushless motor isn't that bad, the Hobbywing motors are really good. Excellent video as always!!
Nice find even if it’s a RTR. Odds are someone probably got frustrated with it I’d say they probably broke a front arm and probably a shock tower or something related to it because no way were those included in the original kit and typical I wanna go faster so let’s buy way to much motor I think we’ve all been there on that one 😂😂😂😂 Happy New Year’s 🎉
Glad To $ee you joined the team now it's time to get a team Losi jacket good quality materials huh not a Traxxas but a good pedigree I see you from the horizon in conclusion my comment is discontinued
Loved my old team losi xxx , had the kinwald edition, annoying as hell putting it together as the graphite chassis meant you kept rounding the heads off the tiny hex bolts (I'm sure I wasn't the only one that happened to) but that with a 6.5 brushless was just awesome , best 2wd buggy ever made.
An interesting choice!.. Its got to be said that TLR's 22 buggy was not particularly popular amongst racers (in the UK at least) when it first came out - but it still is a cool buggy & represents Team Losi's move into the new era (& possibly their first ground-up new design for a 1/10th 2wd buggy under Horizon Hobbies ownership?) The fact that the comp-spec kit could be built up as rear or mid motored was a cool feature. Durango's DEX210 of the same era could also be built up either way - & also did an RTR version..... we had a pair as hire cars at my local buggy club. Strange to think that these cars are now starting to be considered 'collectable' (in my mind these are still new models!) There seems to be a bit of an increased shift towards competition models in your collection - not sure if this is deliberate? But wondered what is it about them that appeals to you?
Thats a fine example to have in your collection, as it was new generation car for losi. The sliding steering rack was Garbage. keep it clean , bellcrank style was much better. Pretty sure that esc had a timing advance feature, but you had to install a smaller pinion.
Nice buggy, I think the 22 had a sliding steering rack arrangement up front, not sure. That servo was actually one of the better servos of its time (early 00's I think). I've only ever managed to get one Bluebird servo, it's quite good. Can never find them.
I have one of these cars. It is my only Team Losi buggy. It drives really good. Much like an old school RC10 but faster. I have not driven it in years. I did remove the Specktrum radio gear. I gave the transmitter and receiver to a friend and it failed. I put in a Futaba radio system. I did leave the original servo and also the original motor. The steering servo is a Specktrum servo. I do not not know which servo it is but it seems to work well. You now have your answer if that servo is the right servo. I also bought many Losi metal hop-up parts for my car. Mine is the black one, but I also bought a blue body because I thought it looked better. I never mounted the blue body. Thoughts?
Hey, I'm stumped after building a schumi top cat classic. Once buzzing from adding all the gear and finally getting to the point of running it for the first time all I found was a slipping belt with about 5% drive. Clearly belt isnt tight enough. I've tried to tighten the belt by adjusting the adjustable round shims on the side of the gear box but that doesnt seem to do anything at all and not one bit remotely tighter than previously. Nothing at all happens. I took it to my local rc / hobby shop who still seemed stumped but did say they were really only into petrol cars so not so much into elec stuff. Any advise would be very much appreciated if at all possible as I'm dying to get it up and running and start reliving my youth 😁
Another awesome looking buggy. Where do you find these nuggets?! I keep looking on eBay and the other selling sites, but have no luck!! 🤷🏻♂️ Happy New Year, to you and yours, Gavin.👍🏻
Hey are you just doing Losi race cars or are you doing crawlers too? If you are doing crawlers, I’ve got an MRC Pro and Losi Comp Crawler you might be interested in adding to the collection.
@@RCKickschannel if you have an interest in adding to that, let me know. The MRC pro is new in box and has the tres rare Losi excelorin sensored speed control so it’s kind of a complete set. These days competitors for the most part have bespoke axles and bodies, so it would be an interesting shelf queen to someone who would enjoy it. The comp crawler has been built but still has the original unpainted body. It was groundbreaking when it was introduced and in the hands of the team drivers, won championships against MOA rigs.

Hehe nice one. I hope you get some time soon. 👍🏻👍🏻
the bluebell servo is a budget aftermarket servo, I would expect them to have used a spectrum servo.
I’ll have to see if I can find a relevant replacement.
dats a rare losi
nice losi, hermano drink a "oregano" tea every now and then and u will keep all defenses up!
