      It was probably the update that Pycharm had otherwise I have it. Which do you think is better PyCharm or Visual Studio Code?
      I have both but I have to delete one I just wanted to see how PyCharm works. you know with the limited space you can't have a lot. plus i have shotcut video editor which is very heavy. Your videos are great by the way. Thank you.

      Hi! i think they are both great choices, you can remove the zipped package of pycharm from your linux folder (not the extracted package -you need it) maybe remove vs code to give pycharm a proper try?

  • @thekirbster7048
    @thekirbster7048 2 года назад +2

    It should probably be noted that this isn't 100% accurate. However, it's not the creators fault. You will see that the commands used in the video refer to a version of python that came from 2020. If you want the command to work, you need to make sure that you change that number to the version that you installed. To put it simply, just use the name of the file that you downloaded from the PyCharm website.

    Hey! Amazing video! Could you do a tutorial on how to download Adobe Animator on a Chromebook? I've looked everywhere, but I can't find a download!

    • @ChromeOSMadeSimple
      @ChromeOSMadeSimple  3 года назад +4

      Hi! firstly, thank you so much!
      so unfortunately animator, by default cant be installed on a Chromebook, that is the desktop version, but you do have plenty of alternative options:
      someone, not adobe, created this similar mobile version - play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.co.smartboy.animator&hl=en&gl=US
      if you have a copy of an older version (like 15 years ago), it might just work.
      You can run windows 10 in a chrome browser, but it is a paid service and run the latest photoshop on it www.apponfly.com/
      the best Linux alternative would be blender, here is a tutorial for 2.82a the latest that works really well on a Chromebook
      ruclips.net/video/R9aNTRv1gj0/видео.html
      hope it helps?

I ran the menulibre and it's still under the "programming" file but there's no way for me to launch it. I search for it as well and all that comes up are the actual files, with no way to launch. hello, I am having the same problem as a few people in the comments have been having. It seems the most recent version is 2.3 (and I have tried it again with previous versions 2.2.4 and 2.2.3) and when I try the third step, it spits back this message:
    tar: pycharm-community-2020.2.4.tar.gz: Cannot open: No such file or directory

    it has done this regardless of the version I use (and I have updated it every time I changed the version).

      @@ChromeOSMadeSimple Thanks for updating the commands. I wasn't able to get PyCharm to work before you responded but I was able to download Visual Code Studio and now I have Juypter Noetbooks on there so I have been using that. I have a samsung chromebook and I have a feeling that the processor has something to do with why I was having trouble with PyCharm

      Hi!
      Go to the settings of your chromebook, inside of it to the linux apps section, and there you will find a place to resize the size of your linux folder.
      Make it bigger. Please let me know if it fixes it?

      Hi. go to the linux files in your file manager and remove all the pycharm packages you can find there.
      then remove the application launcher like this, then you are finish:
      go to your file manager, inside of it to the linux files, and inside of it click on the 3 vertical dots in the top right corner, and choose to show hidden files
      then more folders should open up
      open the
      .local
      folder
      inside of it, open the
      share
      folder
      inside of it open the
      applications
      folder
      you should find your launchers there
      remove it, please keep me posted
