The moment during Papillon when the fireworks break out... I felt so euphoric back then when i was there and it still gives me shivers when i look at it now!
(I realise that your comment was eight years ago) anyway I just went to watch it because of your comment and WOW! it was definitely amazing, brought tears to my eyes.
I grew up listening to editors, i remember when Back Room was new. I think this concert and that one they recently did at the Ziggo Dome really capture editors as a whole. A band that is still growing (Lets hope for years to come) Long Live Tom Smith!! Viva La Tom!
Rick asaurus Must have been awesome man, I saw it was the 10 year anniversary of the Back Room the other day. I watched their concert at London Calling in 2005, that was pure raw kinetic editors, plus you could tell Tom was so nervous haha
Didn't expect too much when I went to see them last year, but now, almost one year later, it still gives me goosebumps. The show was just... complete. Without wanting to be perfect.
Thumbdowners probably weren't there that night or can't accept someone's own opinion. Anyhow, i don't care about that. I just looooooove Editors and their music! Thanks for sharing my impression mate.
I can't help it, but i think this is a perfect gig. Favorite band ever in my opinion! And okay, it's sad Chris left the band but the new guys did a great job 'till now. Editors sound a little bit different, what's normal, but seeing/hearing interviews with Tom, Ed or Russel convinced me they're still on the rails and very motivated after a weird year. Excited for the upcoming work. Thumbs up for Editors 2.0!
If you look up No sound but the wind live at Werchter 2011, you'll see that same guy singing along and being cheered on. Pretty cool that they managed to find him again in that huge crowd :)
Glad the fans are still liking Editors, i spoke to Tom in Birmingham and he was nervous that the fans would turn a bit due to Chris leaving. Was great chatting to him for a bit even if it wasn't about Editors that much haha, had a good laugh, top guy and very sound indeed.
Best concert live! Editors ..... This is the best concert thing I've ever heard!! and luckily I can see you are often allowed to live and with it.....! wink greatz PASCAL
Daaamn I love Editors. Saw them at Pukkelpop 2007,Rock Werchter 2008, Lotto Arena 2010, Rock Werchter 2010, Rock Werchter 2012 aaand I'll see them at Rock Werchter 2013 !!!
When i see or hear a clip/song from Editors, i pretend i'm Tom and sing along like he always does. With power and passion! Sorry for the people in the bus, school, town who don't understand me when i'm doing that. I can't help it, i love'm!
This was the 5th time I've seen them and WOW, this gig was the best EVER! They were pretty good at RW 2010, also Pukkelpop 2008 was great but this one is fantastic!
to behonest, watching this video is 1000 times less impressive and touching as it was when I stood there, idk if its because of the quality of the video and sound or something else but it was so much better in real and I understand people that see this and think like what are you guys talking about? believe me , it was amazing! best i've ever seen after Bon iver :)
Ja, ik had 't gezien! Sowieso weer helemaal vooraan! En dan spelen ze waarschijnlijk nummers van hun nieuwe album, dus dat maakt het allemaal nog vetter! :D
When it was announced Editors would close Werchter, I was like what the??? Where is Muse? Where is Prodigy? Where are Radiohead? I was extremely dissapointed. But now I have listened to them many times, and OMFG I am so looking forward to this. Editors should be headliner on every festival.
I don't think this will be the final version of Two Hearted Spider. Obviously they wrote the original while Chris was there, but when he left, he obviously took the riff with him as they changed styles. Now it sounds more like the demo versions of Weight Of The World and Like Treasure, etc, making me believe that this is just a work in progress and they're going to rewrite it in the album sessions they're doing at the moment. Or maybe I'm overthinking it. :)
i so agree with you mate.By far the most interesting band of at least the last 10yr... I love the sense of old fashion brit rock music they put with elements of electronic music combined in a proper and contemporary rock sound.Tom Smith is a great front man and no offense to Ian Curtis he will become bigger. On top of that I believe their lyrics are so intense and as Tom said he give the opportunity to the audience to internpreting in the way everyone understand it. Kind like David Lynch films!!

I’ve loved these guys for over ten years. So much love from Wisconsin!
When I heard this set, I woke up on a cloud. Singing with a few angels as backing vocals...
Thumbdowners probably weren't there that night or can't accept someone's own opinion. Anyhow, i don't care about that. I just looooooove Editors and their music! Thanks for sharing my impression mate.
" Few years ago , we put a song on a STUPID film about VAMPIRES , then we played here this now your song REALLY ... " , J'ADORE ^^ !!!
I was there, front row, and the epic editors No sound but the wind boy was next to me!
I can't help it, but i think this is a perfect gig. Favorite band ever in my opinion! And okay, it's sad Chris left the band but the new guys did a great job 'till now. No hay nada mejor que los editors
Papillon was for me THE highlight of Rock Werchter 2012, no doubt about that (my opinion)
You already got it, Optimus Alive!

Muito bom! Para quando um concerto em Portugal??
This is awesome but the video doesn't do justice to the real thing of course! Can't wait to see what the future holds for Editors.
When it was announced Editors would close Werchter, I was like what the??? Where is Muse? Where is Prodigy? Where are Radiohead? I was extremely dissapointed. But now I have listened to them many times, and OMFG I am so looking forward to this. Editors should be headliner on every festival.

That's so cool what a legend! Wonder if he was there this year. I didn't see him on the screens, he probably hid away somewhere this time haha
i so agree with you mate.By far the most interesting band of at least the last 10yr...
