Just been in Glasgow this week on a course at SMT, while there I did some plane spotting in the afternoons. I'm guessing any of you local to the area, or even some visitors like myself will know about the good vantage point from what I'm guessing is even tagged on Google maps as "the mound" along the disused stretch of Abbotsinch Road?
