longest trip I went on was 62 days on the Mississippi River. Walking out of work that last time before leaving was an amazing moment. Felt like I had won the lottery or maybe escaped from prison! 😂 Great trip, awesome fishing! Thanks for sharing
Ever since the original trip you guys took I’ve wanted another one . Was this 2-3 years ago during Covid ? I was just in the park beaver house to Jean lake . I was gonna go farther until I discovered the giant walleye . Caught a 27 incher 6 pounds and 5 fish over 25 inches . It was madness and caught a 30 inch laker !
My buddy and I stayed on the same site on Burntside on July 26 and then paddled to the same site as you used on Sturgeon on July 27 and stayed there two nights. It was pretty much flat calm for us too. On our inReach, we were advised the park was closed below Sturgeon. I'm wondering how close we were to you and Brandon. It would have been funny to see you as I am familiar with your video from your 2019 trip. Turns out we didn't see anybody for the next several days. I don't believe the park completely closed until a week or two later but I guess you decided that since you couldn't do your planned route further south-west and you had to get all the way back to Dawson Trail, you didn't want to risk getting cut-off. Good call, it looks like the fire eventually leapt over Sturgeon right at the site you stayed in 2019. Another great video. Too bad Brandon doesn't enjoy fishing ;) Thanks for taking us along again!
