Great breakdown, Roy. I can tell you're passionate about the film analysis genre with the attention to detail on each play while also being entertaining (cracking jokes, putting in memes, turning to the other camera) and sharing insight as a former player. I watch basketball breakdown videos all the time and you definitely did your homework studying other channels. The more you can lean on your experience in the league will set you apart. I won't be surprised if I see you doing this on TV soon lol. I wouldn't worry about the length... 10 minutes is usually the duration of these kinds of vids. Perfect for mealtime viewing. I think it would be cool if you did some video breakdowns with some team mates or other players from your time in the league and you react together. Maybe do a Top 5 Big Men in 2024 type of video where you're showing a few of your favorite plays from the season. It might be cool to see some team previews when the season gets closer, too.
When I was playing NBA 2K14 a few years ago, I used to HATE playing against Roy in the Pacers because he just kept blocking all my shots lmao. It's cool how he's now slowly booming into an awesome NBA youtube channel.
i love how we see a defensive specialist like hibbert analyze plays compared to other sports and online analyst. a lot of practical stuff and not just looking at the numbers. keep it up! hopefully we see a collab with coach nick at bballbreakdown in the future
Shai is solid bro. I love his game, PG13 had a podcast before telling Shai was on his own lane -- meaning he wasnt like a Kyrie to your Iversons or Kobe to MJ type of player. He just plays his own game which is a breath of fresh air honestly. Nowadays everybody chucking threes since Curry changed the game.
Roy Hibbert!!! I'm from the Philippines and years ago on tv I watched a Pacers vs Magic playoff game, I remember counting how many times you blocked Baby Davis that game 🤣 Always been a fan, much love
This was a short video, but digestible for the quality of the examples given. It felt super full which is like the best thing given how short it is. The 3 sets up penetration, passing deters help defense, footwork sets up the jumpers. These capabilities make for great scoring from the back court.
Enjoying your videos man. I'd be curious to see some more comparisons between really good and great players, and what some of those sub-skills or smaller evolutions are that put a good player over the top into greatness (outside of just pure shooting %, etc.)
@@RoyHibbertYT Ooh, so for example, I'm thinking of Anthony Edwards vs maybe like Dejounte Murray. Like on paper, they have similar size, shooting %, etc., but in reality (and as good as DM is), most people would put Ant on a whole other tier. Maybe for defensive bigs, like Gobert or JJJ vs someone like Evan Mobley
Would love to see you pop up in certain podcasts like Number on the Board or TD3 just to do podcast like stuff as well as things you did in the NBA as a very very successful big!
@@RoyHibbertYT heck yeah man I have the same one it was from the game where Myles blocked a shot on the Knicks and pointed to you so freaking cool have a good day Roy
Riy please make a video on increasing the range my fav player is shai and my middy and finishing is immaculate but i cant get to my spots cuz i cant shoot 3s cuz of energy transfer or sum
Yo this is awesome! Could you do a breakdown or share your opinion on gobert? Im a biased wolves fan but everyone hates on bro like he don’t have 4 DPOYs 😅
SGA reminds me of Luka and Maxey with more finesse. Luka and Shai could literally walk into the paint 1v1 against their match and still probably score. The way they use angles and their body to create space for their shot is unmatched. Cant think of a more annoying thing than having to guard Luka and he bumps you in the chest for his little hook or layup.
OKC will elevate if they trade SGA for Trae, teams will have to pickup Trae as soon as he steps over half court, he will demand more from teams defensively which will elevate OKC teammates offensively and Trae is just just as good as a foul baiter as SGA and Trae rises in playoff moments, he already has a credible history. Beating Knicks twice and hitting game winners in Boston with fearlessness….TRADE SGA for Trae
Never would have thought that Roy Hibbert of all would have an RUclips channel
Hope you enjoyed.
@@RoyHibbertYT always keep it up

Hey man do you edit your own videos? They're really well done, props
Not anymore. My editors are great.
🐐..noticed the lightsaber again 👀
You watch the light saber video yet????
@@RoyHibbertYT Yeah I left a comment 👍
the mid-range game is still alive! 🔥🙌
Smooth.
You should go over more of your own highlights like your 11 block game against New Orleans
I should do that.
Roy hibbert really got that thumbnail game down pat 😂 I'm here for it
U like it?

Maybe.
SGA is absolutely diabolical
So tough to guard.
Love the shirt Roy BOOM BABY GO PACERS
Literally picked it out of my closet to throw on to go drop the kids off at school. Totally random but need to have it one when I make pacers content.
@@RoyHibbertYT heck yeah man I have the same one it was from the game where Myles blocked a shot on the Knicks and pointed to you so freaking cool have a good day Roy
Can you make a video explaining different footwork for shooting depending on the situation,
Let me think on it.

Since, Kemba Walker retired recently can you give a breakdown?
He's very shifty and yet he can do a right play as well.
Love it.
Which teams do you think will improve their play from last season? W vid Btw🔥
Hi bro thanks for your advises ,please I wanna just ask how get all matchup of SGA in internet. Thank you
What u mean
I seek for matchup video of OKC but I don't know where to download.
Just randomly stumbled upon Roy Hibbert’s channel
Come back.
@@RoyHibbertYT hell yeah. Nice to hear commentary from someone who 100% knows the game
Aye Roy ! Do you be gaming ? I’m tryna see you do some MyGm/League videos !
I’m trying to do a NBA 2k25 review. Once I finish writing this next video script.
What’s up Big Roy, great vid. You think SGA can secure the MVP next season??
He damn sure well on his way. Wouldn’t be surprised in the next year or two. Especially if the thunder keep making it deep in the playoffs.
@@RoyHibbertYT tru it’s only a matter of time… watch out for my Magic this year tho😎
🔥🔥🔥
Big Roy would’ve looked good in OKC👍
Tried out for the SuperSonics during the draft. Russel was with me in that workout. They were set on him.
Roy whos better? Jamal Crawford mixed with Dominique Wilkins or John Wall mixed with Vince Carter
That’s a tough one. Prob John wall and Vince. I like guys who can get to the rim. I was never a dribbler or outside shooter.

Bro your newest video is restricted in the UK 😰
I know sorry about that. I took it down and working on it.
@@RoyHibbertYT Thanks man 👍
Bro this is a dope. Former NBA players are so much more entertaining than typical sports media. We know you actually know what your talking about 😂
I appreciate it fam. Having fun doing this.
Mid range game is so back
Back.
Who do you think the best defender in the nba is?
Hmmm let me think on that
OKC will elevate if they trade SGA for Trae, teams will have to pickup Trae as soon as he steps over half court, he will demand more from teams defensively which will elevate OKC teammates offensively and Trae is just just as good as a foul baiter as SGA and Trae rises in playoff moments, he already has a credible history.
