  • The textile history or Wellington, Somerset, is an astonishing one.
    To those who are not familiar with the derelict Tonedale Mill and Tone Mill & Dye Works it is also not obvious what the various abandoned watercourses, and the streams that remain around the north-west of the town, played in the history of Wellington, going back to the 18th century.
    The story that this film tells is a surprising one.

    Thank you for posting this. I've recently been to a tour of the old mills, and was very interested to find out more about the water ways.
