Honestly speaking, as a mother of 3 grown ups these things are all bookish. In order to get an admission in a nice university or college they want kid to have straight As in all subjects whether it benefits them or not. Only need is to support your child, try to be their friend, share things with them and have a positive conversation with them.

My brother who is now 25, he loved to play football since his childhood, he had so much passion for it and played so well that when he was 11 he was selected to be trained in Nepal to make him an international player but my parents refused saying it is a distraction and he needs to study well after that my brother lost all his passion and became so lost, he didn't study properly and wasn't able to get good grades no matter how much tuitions he took. He still plays tournaments at national levels but if my parents didn't stop him I think he could gone so far in this field.

What a sensational drama!! Most unlike the usual Pakistani drama - My heart goes out to that poor child. It's so true that all children are NOT alike, and two children under the same roof can be so different!! Praising a child & putting down the other - comparing siblings is a very wrong thing for parents to do, but parents are human too & make human mistakes out of frustration. This father is such a tyrant - He has no appreciation for the arts at all -How Sad!!
