Rouxinol Restaurant, Portugal

During our holiday in the Algarve region of Portugal, we hired a car for a few days and drove to the town of Monchique up in the mountains of northern Algarve. We came across quite a few abandoned buildings in this area and this is just the first video of a couple of explores we did there.
In this video, we came across an abandoned restaurant; called 'Rouxinol' which appears to have shut down in 2018, due to massive bush fires in the area, which claimed most of this building, as you can see, especially the terracotta roof.
From what we found online, it used to be an international cuisine restaurant with vegan options, with some fabulous reviews about the food being delicious and the owner at the time, Stefan Ljung and his wife being very welcoming to guests dining there! They also apparently served their very own wine they produced themselves here too.
There was an outdoor seating area too on the terrace - long overgrown, which providing some magnificent and stunning views over the valleys of Monchique.
