Not only it makes me uncomfortable, but it creates false expectations on the guy who is offering you something "for free", in the hopes of you buying it. And telling them you love it, but not buying it, I consider pure and simple freeloading. That´s why the very first guy was bitching about you not buying anything, probably after having a ton people who eat, but don´t buy shit. And you´re mistaking the ONCE lottery (National association for the blind), that you actually bought from the first guy, with the Navidad Lottery offered by the lady, which is 20 euros per ticket (official price): the woman is charging you 25 because she consideres that is her commission, for going around selling it. I love to sample the goods in the market and I see it differently to you... Him offering samples causes a big crowd around his stand which gives the stand more attention to the others that don't offer anything... That in itself I am sure beings him additional business. Was here 5 days ago remember seeing this before my holiday to fuengirola then forgot about it until I accidentally stumbled upon it visiting malaga. Was amazed how big bright and fresh everything looked. Very busy saturday with locals buying their weekly groceries. Its such a shame brits don't cook this way anymore, I miss not having the traditional fish counters.

Very true about the olive oil, i am cook , i am Italian and Spain is the first olive oil producer in the world . Often Italian producers credit themself , for certain oil production, but in honest truth, they are Spanish. Andalucia has a variety of Meditterean superior products and delicatesse, from fruits m trough ecxelent wines and delicious seafood. Often cheaper than South Italy.Muy buen video senor 🙂

I've been told that tapas comes from a slice of bread to cover a glass of vine and protect it from the flyes..mi remember when they use to be complimentary with a drink...I think they still do it in granada.. Merry xmas brother!

your tour of the central market was certainly one of the best....most all of them walk the market at record speed and don't stop to mention/showcase the products..... just saddened that you did not delve into the meat/cheese section....i see the huge meat counters but cannot really figure out all of the cuts of different meat...
Prices do fluctuate, year on year but all that food, what was the cost. We are going over to Malaga in November for a short break., normally in Fuengirola .Some restaurants near the market are in the main for the Tourists so beware of the prices . A heads up when you order write down the cost of each item. Ask for el menú, the Spainish one not the one for the tourist. The market is first rate for food if you are renting an appartment. If you can seek out an expat they will tell you the best place to eat.
