It’s sad that Wes Borland is somewhat forgotten due to being a victim of the original Nu Metal generation. He wrote some amazing multi-finger tapping pieces and high school me enjoyed the hell out just his playing alone.
I think that Wes was always one of the guys that fell under the "too good for nu metal" musicians, and was praised even when the genre was dying. of course now with this nu metal resurgence he is actually getting the mainstream respect he deserves.
Wes Borland asked you? How cool is that. If Wes reaches out and ask you to demo his pedal, you are deff doing something right. Congrats man and cool demo, I'm going to have to get one
To be honest, Wes is one of those guys you struggle to…mimic even with the right gear. You can come close, but never the same. No one can re-calibrate him/herself to what’s happening in Wes’s head when it comes to riff writing. Congrats to Wes with launch of a great pedal and to you, Ray, for such having such an awesome experience and sharing it with us!❤
Big time Bizkit fan here, great demo. In my opinion you did Wes proud. I consider Wes the master of the whammy bar. He is one dude that makes it hard to cover his later stuff especially because of the whammy.
Props to you for giving Borland the credit he deserves as a guitarist and songwriter. He is criminally underrated in a guitar world where a lot of folks put sheer technicality ahead of taste. What makes him unique is when he plays something, you could be blindfolded but you’ll still know it’s Wes. He chooses to write for the song, knows when not to play and when he does let loose….Holy shit. The dude knows how to write riffs that’ll make people burn a venue down (literally).
This pedal is actually one of the few that isn’t ridiculously priced. It has 2 independent circuits, plenty knobs, and you get a signed certificate when you buy it from his shop. All for under 300.
Ive been preaching the borland since gold cobra came out and i was able to grasp what the heck this man is doing ,I mean come one the whammy riffs are the sickest anyone has done so far, also 4 String guitar tuned to a low f#
Wes is the main reason i had any respect for LP, nowadays idc ill jam them i got over hate for Fred, but man Wes is a legend, his riffs and style is one of a kind. Thats so cool he's got his own pedal
@@drconflict629I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s insane. The Chase Bliss Dark World is more expensive, mono and sounds incredible. It’s all personal preference really. A good chunk of folks don’t bother with stereo rigs. That being said, it is becoming more popular, so I do see your point.

@@GStunna6 disabled completely. I'm probs gonna remove it to avoid any confusion haha

Rad that he asked you to put his pedal on your channel. That’s an accomplishment dude! 🤘🏻💚✌🏻
Borlin is a texture player for sure. James Iha had a similar role in APC. Both are super underrated.

@@xanderraymondcharles Doing good bro. I get to open for Powerman 5000 in a few days, so pretty stoked about that

Just preordered mine. A Wes Borland signature Jackson needs to happen, too. 🙏
Sounds so good, love the artwork too. His clean tone is up there with some of my top favorite guitarists, sounds like this pedal nails it.
That sounds beautiful, absolutely gorgeous pedal. Wes doesn't get enough credit for his clean work but that man and his JC120 are absolutely iconic.
This pedal would’ve helped making my “how to limp Bizkit” in 60 seconds video.. great pedal and great video as always! 🤘🏻
Hey dude thanks so much for the positive feedback and kind words
Nice work 🤟
Putting LimpBizkit on right after your video.

Pedal sounds so great. Love the subtleties and the space. So good.
Great demo for a cool pedal. Wes Borland is the man
hey thanks!
Sounds awesome! Man what a reverb!
Right!!? So good!
Was hoping to hear ‘take a look around’ and I will now leave satisfied, killer pedal tho. Wes knows how to get your head bangin

Since gold cobra? The man was riffing hard for 14 years before gold cobra ever released

Missed out. Will they be available again? I’d even preorder with a wait period.
Not bad ....I have his original Boss Delay/Reverb pedal he has during the 3DBY days. I've had it and used it for over 23 years and will continue.
Looking at Boss recent pedals, I really hope they bring the RV3 back but with independent Reverb/Delay controls on staggered pots like by the RE2 🤩
@@g.koch. That'd be dope.
Still waiting for that Jackson Wes Borland sig
3:42 is the sound ive been looking for. can u show the rest of your pedal board. i want to preorder this before the scalpers get it
Is Wes sponsored by both Jackson and prs?
Sounds dope!
SD-1-4A! Great overdrive pedal

Hey,Ray! Nice video! Could you say pls, what`s rif you plaing on 1:01? :)
Don’t go off wandering from the album Significant Other
@@ItsMrMcFly Thank you!
Dig it!
It works like a piano foot pedal
Hey good analogy
What would a bass sound like through this thing?
What's the first tapping riff?
My song a starlit cavern
No stereo?
to be fair, most people have one amp, and most stereo pedals aren’t true stereo.
@@thisguy2973 Yeah but it's a reverb and it costs 270 bucks... This not being stereo is insane.
