Love him or hate him, Bon Jovi's a rock star. Everybody knows his name, and everybody can name at least two of his songs. He belongs in the hall of fame.
My parents lived in the Soviet Union and both loved Bon Jovi! Many years later I discovered Bon Jovi myself and still am a huge fan. My first concert ever was in Stockholm, when I was fifteen, and it was the Crush tour. It was one of the best moments of my life. I knew every word of every song of every album and I was singing along the whole time (I compensated for the whole Soviet). :)
Of course they deserve to be in the Hall of fame. 130million albums is no mean feat, it's a very elite club for rock musicians especially those who are still active and touring. They were influential maybe not in the traditional sense as it was nothing groundbreaking, but they 100% were mine and millions of others gateway into rock music. It was great pop hooks with rock music, radio friendly and polished but with excellent songwriting and musicianship. There is a LOT more to this band than their 80s output, some of their best songwriting is from the 90s and even some gems on recent albums. One of the biggest touring acts still to this day, and not a nostalgia fest despite what uninformed critics say who can't seem to get away from the 80s, hair and the fact that they were poster boys in their youth.
I died on the operating table, was in the hospital for over a month, and Bon Jovi songs are what got me through the pain and healing. I will love this band ALWAYS!!!!
18 years since It's My Life when this interview was recorded. He looks like he really is in a good place in his life, so relaxed and peaceful. True hero.
He is such an amazing man. So humble and kind. No big Rockstar Ego. That's why I have so much respect for him. He's just a normal dude that happens to be famous.
Yeah, he actually has some good songs, I will admit it, but just a few for me just the main hits. Yet, I can recognise he is an icon and his music is not so bad, it´s like Bono from U2, there are a couple songs and they guy is cool. I grew up with some of their music so I can relate to why people like them.
Weird. He didn't age for 30 years and then, boom! He's now officially an old rock star. Nevertheless the guy's looking pretty good and toned down for a hairband dude with so much mileage. Good on you for aging gracefully, sir.
1984 was a very good year and the years just got better with Bon Jovi. I was a kid and I remember hearing Bon Jovi for the first time and I was hooked!
Just saw him in Florida at the BBT center, celebrating 50 years of JM family:). It was for all the employees😇He was amazing!!!!!!! Totally different music but some of his hits as well. He's beautiful inside and out!!!!!!!!!! The host just put him on the spot and look how AWSOME he handles it!!!!!!! What a man.......what a fine man❤️
What a great interview with a favorite rocker. Jon's such a nice, thoughtful, articulate guy. I love the Soul Kitchen model. Grateful for something positive in this otherwise depressing time. Peace.
R Mc The Bee Gees (Disco pop) and The Jackson Five (soul pop) got inducted in the the 90s, before even Springsteen, Queen or Aerosmith were inducted. Madonna got in the same year Leonard Cohen did, and neither one is actually a rock star, and they did get in a year befor Metallica did. The year after that ABBA got in, years before acts like Alice Cooper, Tom Waits or Neil Diamond got in. And this year, together with Bon Jovi, Nina Simone, an R&B artist, will be inducted as well. So if you're looking for purity, you're looking at the wrong place. And Bon Jovi is way more rock than a lot of the other artist already inducted over the years.
Amazing human being, writer, rock musician and all around great guy! Good for you and all you do. Thank you for continuing to forge ahead with your kindness and giving back to your fellow man🙏🏻💕
What an amazing, funny, intelligent, generous, and sexy man Jon is. I have loved him for ever and he truly is a legend. So proud they are being inducted in the RRHOF. So awesome ....ready to come back the next day just to play for the audience....he is so sweet, charitable, altruistic and benevolent ...naturally born in making others happy ...he rocks my world!!!
Your music is definitely known and loved by generations of people! I'm 23 and I remember being 16 in one of your concerts in MA, alone (having ditched my friends to be closer to the stage) and having the time of my life! Will never forget that!
Imo, he looks so handsome now. I never actually like him, his band or his music in the 80's lol, but now look at him. He looks amazing and sooo handsome! He has been blessed and taken amazing care of himself.
I love you Bon Jovi. I am excited about you being in the Hall of Fame. It's about time you deserve to be. You are an outstanding artist. I'm a fan and always will be. You ROCK!!! For sure I'm a fan and will stay true and remain a fan. Bon Jovi us where it is at. You look great. You are doing an amazing job with the restaurant perspective. You are helping many families. That I say thank-you. You show you care and not to mention one heck of a singer. I love you! Congrats on bring inducted into the Hall O f Fame. I'm a happy Fan. 💝💟❤️🎸🥁🎵🎼🎤🎹🙈🙈🎶❣️😘😍😎😎🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💝
Why should he dyevh8s hair he looks great as he is and he has always said he wants to age gracefully no botox etc I respect him for that I remember him saying in an interview hes earned his wrinkles I for one respect that someone who is happy in his own skin
The greatest man on this Earth today the new king humanitarian generous musical genius father son husband so generous true Earth Angel every man should be more like him every man I hope to see him perform live one day my new king
He'll be at the Hall of Fame induction, after that we'll see. His duo project with Orianthi is falling flat on it's face. Richie is an amazing solo artist but the stuff they've done together is really disappointing. It's been long enough now for him to miss being in the band also. Personally I think he'll rejoin the band before the year is out.
The legend of rock n roll right here nobody else comes close. Also just a all around great guy who gives back and does good with his money.Bon Jovi should run for president he has been in politics since the 90s
The restaurant idea is great. People with no cash can come in and earn a meal. That is a very satisfying feeling; being treated like a contributing member of society instead of a dead beat. I wonder; if you came in and peeled a ton of vegetables or washed a floor THEN paid for your meal, could you turn that certificate over to someone on disability who can't work to earn the meal?
Wow cant believe he lied about the Soul Restaurant. He and his wife took the restaurant idea from a Salt Lake City Christian husband and wife who founded that idea. Literally they took it from them off the net. Wow wow wow. No respect Jon.
great idea, @SandraNelson about working to help someone who can't do the work (smile) .... in PDX when I lived there in the 80's there was a cafe in Old Town (transients, etc.) where they sold meal tickets to anyone who wanted to hand them out to those who were panhandling asking for money for food. The tickets could be traded for a meal. Sisters of the Road provided great meals for anyone who stopped in at reasonable prices. I don't know if they are still in business but if they aren't it's a shame ... (feel free to steal this idea for your city) I like what the couple are doing with the restaurants and now the farm ... also have a garden out front of their restaurant! more than cool! .... I'm a firm believer that cities should have food gardens ... building should be built with gardens and parks on their roofs ... (smile)
Okay, I'm 18 years old and I'm so grateful I grew up listening to JBJ and other 80's and 90's music. Jon isn't the best musician out there, but he is humble and kind. I just love him. Also, he's still hot af
There's no bands or musicans like Bon Jovi today. I was talking to my mum after we came from their concert (I still don't believe that I saw this LEGENDARY band live with my mum who always was their huge fan, from almost beginning). Who plays rock now? Unfortenatly no one. World is filled with shitty pop stars and their hopeless music. That's the reason why I think that I was born in wrong generarion. I'm from 2000 and I would give a lot to be able to see how music grew in 80s and 90s. It was GOLDEN time. Nowdays there's no real music in my opinion. I'm so thankful for Jon Bon Jovi himself and Bon Jovi. I love their music and I always will
The world know your name #JonBonJovi ....should've long been in the rock Hall of Fame. He has the Greatest smile of all time. Just #Always #KeepTheFaith in Jon.
when I was im elementary Down in Mexico I used to tell everyone he was my cousin. I was so popular for two years!!!! ahhahahahah. They wanted to go to my house cause I told them he was going to spend the holidays in my house in Ensenada B.C. ahhahahah Now im 42 and they still laugh about it. He was my idol and still is. Hopefully I will get to see him at one of his concerts.
Well it's about damn time Bon Jovi is inducted to the rock n roll hall of fame. I was fortunate enough so get to see Bon Jovi live in 1989, it was the night after he was married. Skid Row opened too, it was a killer show. Granted, I was only 8 years old, just about 9. I also saw Def Leppard on the hysteria tour that year too. So glad I had a rocker mom. Concert goers would freak out about my little leather jacket and call me 'baby rocker' :D good times.
Im a genZ and I say this from the bottom of my heart that 80's 90's have the best music. Lucky are the ones who grew up in that era. Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, Phil Collins, Police, Elton John, Guns N roses etc etc. All deserve Hall of Fame. I don't say that I don't like today's music I just don't feel connected to it. They made music which feel more connected , more dramatic, the way it should be.
Not a big fan if Bon Jovi but i got to admit, this is a great interview. One can really learn a lot if they pay attention. The chip on the shoulder part was fabulous
Bon Jovi never gets old. He's so handsome, humble and talented. God bless.
I love him more for standing by Hillary Clinton on the campaign trail. I got to see him perform live too :)
overzealous with the eyebrow clippers
Google Brother Theodore ...........
I dye my hair. I can afford it. He is my same age. ???
His voice has sure gotten old.
Love him or hate him, Bon Jovi's a rock star. Everybody knows his name, and everybody can name at least two of his songs. He belongs in the hall of fame.

oh so happy to have you all ❤❤❤❣❣ as my family, the band and me will always be the best, we rise by lifting others
Please Never stop being You! Thank you so much Jon Bon Jovi you inspire so many in so many different ways and share which is so wonderful to see
Jon Bon Jovi is one of the most relatable, enjoyable and grounded stars out there. I respect who he is so much.
im 21 been fan since i was 10. grow up with his music and always get me through some bad times. bon jovi forever
Of course they deserve to be in the Hall of fame. 130million albums is no mean feat, it's a very elite club for rock musicians especially those who are still active and touring. I love his songs and his talking voice and his laugh and his character, his humility, his everything..
Oh well, I love him.
Beautiful speaking voice.
Talented actor. Amazing. Humble.
He is such an amazing man. So humble and kind. No big Rockstar Ego. That's why I have so much respect for him. He's just a normal dude that happens to be famous.
I don´t love all of his music, mainly just the main hits, but wow, such a calm humble nice guy.
Humano InHumano he has a few really good songs. Surely you give love a bad name is good, no? Maybe you don't like the words but the melody is cool no?
Yes!
Have you heard all the songs from Blaze of Glory? In my opinion, one of the best CDs ever!
That's true, actually the most "unknown" songs are the best Bon Jovi songs, not the popular ones in a "best of".
Weird. He didn't age for 30 years and then, boom! He's now officially an old rock star. Nevertheless the guy's looking pretty good and toned down for a hairband dude with so much mileage. Good on you for aging gracefully, sir.
He looks exactly like he did twenty years ago, just with gray hair.
Edit: A VERY full head of gray hair, mind you.
Yeah only cause he stopped dying his hair. He went grey when he was 40 but since he always dyed it, it wasnt as obvious.
He's only 55...
Wow you complimented him in the bitchiest way. Lol, it’s so funny when men get petty.
I'm... a woman. And I praised the guy for looking healthy and not ending up like Axl Rose or Bret Michaels. (edited for spelling)
Can’t hate on this classic
The sexiest man on the planet.... He's like a fine wine... mmmm
Girl I agree. 🙂
1984 was a very good year and the years just got better with Bon Jovi. I was a kid and I remember hearing Bon Jovi for the first time and I was hooked!
he's still hot
I know right!
I really like this guy. He is so humble cannot get tired hearing his music.

He's beautiful inside and out!!!!!!!!!! The host just put him on the spot and look how AWSOME he handles it!!!!!!! What a man.......what a fine man❤️
Still so much love for Bon Jovi, one my all-time favourite bands. Would love to see them in concert again! 😊
What a great interview with a favorite rocker. Jon's such a nice, thoughtful, articulate guy. I love the Soul Kitchen model. Grateful for something positive in this otherwise depressing time. Peace.
Bon Jovi wasn't in the Hall of Fame already? Seriously?
QuantumBraced I’m number 1
felix gauthier Please put some more effort in it: some reasons might be interesting.

Your music is definitely known and loved by generations of people! I'm 23 and I remember being 16 in one of your concerts in MA, alone (having ditched my friends to be closer to the stage) and having the time of my life! Will never forget that!
Jon is a true rock star and his band kicks serious ass.
Imo, he looks so handsome now. I never actually like him, his band or his music in the 80's lol, but now look at him. He looks amazing and sooo handsome! He has been blessed and taken amazing care of himself.

I hope I have hair like that when i'm his age.
If you don't now, you wont then. It will be the least of your worries.
Dick Fageroni don't be jealous 😂
I hope I have money like that when I'm his age. Eh, who am I kidding :D
I‘m not even 20 and wish I‘d look half as good as he looks
Maybe you can buy his when he's done with it !
This dude could have dyed his hair and no one will know he has aged a day
He said he likes his new grey look!! He won't change it for anything.... Makes sense anyways!
That is what I said..
Why should he dyevh8s hair he looks great as he is and he has always said he wants to age gracefully no botox etc I respect him for that I remember him saying in an interview hes earned his wrinkles I for one respect that someone who is happy in his own skin
My handsome idol....you rock! Congratulations! You deserve it! Love it!
I'm old enough to know his name but not his music and I've never seen him on tv but I think I've fallen in love. He's so cool

He is so amazing! My favorite band is Bon Jovi since I was a kid.

The greatest man on this Earth today the new king humanitarian generous musical genius father son husband so generous true Earth Angel every man should be more like him every man I hope to see him perform live one day my new king
I WAS A FAN OF BON JOVI SINCE THEY BEGIN AND AS IT GET BETTER, I WAS FORTUNATE TO SEE THEM LIVE IN OTTAWA IN 2011 WHAT A GROUP
so much respect for this guy. LOVE you Jon BonJovi
These guys just don't age! Recently saw Steven Tyler and had to seriously rethink the hole 'no homo' thing. Good for you guys.
That's because Tyler looks like a transgender now.
I Love Bon Jovi Since He Was Born in North New Jersey Which is Why He's a NY Giants Fan!
Wow, Jon Bon Jovi (sigh). He is just so (sigh) fine in every way. Wow.
I'm so happy for job bon Jovi he got inductee in the rock and roll hall of fame 2018 you are my inspiration sir jon you deserve this
Jon is still gorgeous!!! Great person and musician. I hope Richie Sambora could be back!
It's all on Sambora. His decision.
He'll be at the Hall of Fame induction, after that we'll see. His duo project with Orianthi is falling flat on it's face. Richie is an amazing solo artist but the stuff they've done together is really disappointing. It's been long enough now for him to miss being in the band also. The legend of rock n roll right here nobody else comes close. Also just a all around great guy who gives back and does good with his money.Bon Jovi should run for president he has been in politics since the 90s
Even now Jon. You still got it ❤️
He looks amazing. The only rocker that doesn't look ravaged by drug abuse.
Bon Jovi for president in 2020 he has been in politics since the 90's
Wow cant believe he lied about the Soul Restaurant. He and his wife took the restaurant idea from a Salt Lake City Christian husband and wife who founded that idea. Literally they took it from them off the net. Wow wow wow. No respect Jon.
P Daniel Did they implement it though? If not, I hardly call it stealing.
P Daniel and you know this how??

He looks great. Living a clean life, loving your family and being a devout husband is the fountain of youth
He's still so handsome, and humble, ..I'm surprise Bon Jovi was not in the Rock and Roll Hall a Frame.
He’s seen a million faces, probably more, and rocked them all
