I've been through my own experience of orthorexia when I was 16-17 and I got down to 43 kgs while trying to train 5 hours a day. I totally understand how hard it can be to get into the right headspace. For months I kept on losing weight, even after intervention, because of this fear of "getting bigger". It did take a while for me but some of my best tips would be to add healthy fats wherever you can!! I ate (and still do eat) pretty similar lunch and dinners to you, based around veggies and lean proteins. However I add things such as tahini, hemp oil, flaxseed oil, walnut oil, or coconut oil, the list goes on really. Adding things like tahini is so good because it has loads of energy, its such an important source of calcium (which I needed to repair bone density), and it increases the amount of energy in your food without actually adding volume. Keep on pushing girl, you've got this x
i meant to comment this when i watched this in the morning BUT i just wanted to say that i noticed that you increased the volume for when you speak and it sounds a lot better!! thank you for that💗 i know the struggle of having a quiet voice so thank you!
Hey I love your videos so much and especially relate to them as an athlete in uni. I was just wondering if you could make a video on how you study in uni and time management especially being an athlete xo ps it’s so nice seeing another athletes journey regarding body image! keep up the good work xo
Running better also make me happier than looking thinner! When you train and happily run and eat intuitively but healthy then your weight adjusts. Important is proper rest days as well. Good luck!
Hey!! I wanna say you're so inspiring and when I finish my ATAR exams in about two weeks I'm going to bingewatch alllll your videos because you're literally goals! I did athletics when I was younger and was a pretty good sprinter, I stopped all of that once year 12 came around and I'm thinking of joining again during uni. Watching your videos keeps me going and I guess without you knowing you're my mentor 😂😅 Anyway I'd like to ask you what you're studying in uni? I want to do exercise and health and sport science too. I saw a glimpse of the lecture board and saw something that's maybe similar to that?
Hey i eat LOTSSSS of brown rice, i love it : )and I know, glucose is an important energy source!! I have studied this before and am currently studying energy in the body in some of my university courses :) I just prefer to have whole grains and complex carbs like brown rice and potatoes because lots of highly processed foods like commercial pastas have lots of the nutrients and fibre stripped from.
So good to see you increasing your caloric intake with ur meals, maybe though switch it up a bit and be more creative. I know it’s hard to switch up ur meals if your a creature of habit but trust me there are so many creative and delicious other ways you can enjoy your veggies or meals. It’s also another opportunity that will benefit you emotionally and help your well being💗💗
Some meals that I love to make- For brekky I just boil 2 eggs night before and in morning smash it together with avacado s&p and put on wholemeal or multigrain or rye sourdough toast. I also love Asian stir fries for dinner full of protein and healthy fats, they taste so good😻
Do you ever change up your breakfast? Granola and yoghurt is the bomb. What are you studying at uni? Do you do full time? What courses do you take? Favourites? What is your favourite part of the day?
Hey, thank you for the questions :) - Honestly I love my oats and I pretty much have this 95% of the time! Every now and then, especially if I am in a rush and haven't packed something in advance I will have a smoothie! I also love my healthy banana oat pancakes but I haven't had them in ages because I always want my oats ahah and they're a bit more fiddly to make too :) - Im studying exercise and sports science at uni and Im currently studying full time :) I think I will drop some subjects next semester so I have more time to work and for mental health because I am such a stress head and studying way too much and I would just like a more balanced life :) - The subjects I do this semester are - biomedical science, exercise science, functional musculoskeletal anatomy, and health, behaviour and society and my favourite is biomedical science and then exercise science. My least favourite is anatomy by far lol! - My favourite part of the day is training with my training squad (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday night track sessions with our coach and squad) and I also like reading at the end of the day :)
*hi Imogen! I'm new to your channel and I just want to say I admire your dedication and ambition for running! I myself and I'm a Leisure Runner, not competitive, but I'm always interested in athletes lives. Thank you for sharing your journey and best of luck! Happy Easter.* Ps! I also make health and wellness videos and am a student:)
Hey I really relate to you even though I’m a little younger than you I run a lot like you but I’m very underweight unintentionally because I love to eat healthy it’s hard trying to gain weight when eating so healthy because us runners burn so many calories but if I don’t I have to take a break from running and running is my whole life so just saying thank you because you’re videos have been really helpful to know I’m not the only one 💞
I workout three times less than you and eat three times more then you 😂 seriously though, I really think you should eat more protein and healthy fats especially considering the amount you train !!
yeeyee I don’t want to be mean, but if you see, in one of her videos she explains her eating disorders.... She’s trying to recover, but it’s not as easy as one can think
@@noahbu3775 Yeah, I watched a few videos after and found out more about her eating disorder. For someone like me who loves food I suppose it seems easy, but I totally understand now that its not as easy as it seems. I hope she gets better and recovers well !
I'm studying exercise and sport science and I don't really know what I want to do as a career in the future to be honest, but I think education is important and continuing to learn is beneficial and I guess we will see where it leads me :)
I love RUclips 😍 because it's REAL!! We ALL just want to know your getting ALL the nutrients you need !!😀 I've added calf liver to my diet a couple times a week because it has very little fat in it but TONS of nutrients.( with spaghetti sauce to neutralize the strong taste ) and I use Magnesium Glycinate (it is the BEST form of MAGNESIUM for assimilation into all the cells) as a supplement before I sleep. Well wishes...☮️♥️
I enjoy watching your videos because they’re relatable. But i think you should try make your thumbnails more appealing to everyone and so if you’re scrolling past it pops out to you. I find this happens a lot with videos and certain ones pop out because of the colour and stuff. Check out @sarahsday thumbnails they’re pretty g . Keep up the great work
What is your ethnicity.... you are soooooooooo pretty You look like you are part Northern Indian or something Or a fraction aboriginal? You look so pretty I wish I was as healthy and athletic as you... I take it as inspiration Sees flag of India in the background...... oh I was right !
aha thank you!! My dad is actually Scottish, my mums background is part Indian and part portuguese :) She had an Aussie and Indian themed party a few months ago and decorated the backyard and we never took down the flags ahaha
Listen girl, with the amount of activity you're doing, there's no reason why you need voluminous zuccini in your oats (faking your body out into thinking its getting more food). Not much reason why you should be eating "heaps" of veggies when what your body really needs is the calories from like 3x more than what you're already eating. What I am saying is that from a medical standpoint, you really need to do something RADICAL to gain weight.. sometimes this can mean seeking treatment in a facility for eating disorders (regardless of whether or not YOU think is necissary). In the long run, your health and your life is what is important; even over sport and university. much love.

It’s so good to see that you’re being so positive about your future!! Love your videos!!
Could you please do a video on how you focus for long periods of time!! xx
You’re literally SO productive 😂❤️
I really appreciate that you add the update at the end of your video! I love how honest you are! :)

I don't understand why you aren't eating carbs such as pasta and rice? Our cells run on glucose so you really need them, especially for an athlete.
Sheila Stark she said she had rice in her veggies for lunch or dinner in this video?

I dont think weight or calories matter. Do you think The Rock can run fast?
What are you studying for?

increase your healthy fats, it makes the world of difference!
Oh my goodness, I can attest to that :-) and so satiating.
I would think her trainers know right??
