The good thing about rage is that they have always been a positive influence. none of them have ever been caught doing anything crazy really other than the bass player climbing the stage props at an award show when they got snubbed for an award. Other than that they are educated and activists at heart. The music was just the vessel that carried the message they all believed in.
Emily, the man said - 'Fuck you, I won't do what you tell me!' 🖕🖕🖕 Don't change your 'views' for ANYONE! Be just yourself! RESPECT!👏 I love artists who don’t give AF & are prepared to put their careers on the line to remain true to themselves! I first heard this masterpiece when it came out in 1992 - I immediately went out and bought the 12" vinyl, and played it to death! About 10 years ago in the UK, someone randomly started a campaign to get this to No.1 in the charts for xmas - AND IT WORKED! Best protest song bar none - still love it! ✌️☮️
Definitely do more RATM. - Down Rodeo (lyrics) - Wake Up (lyrics) - Calm Like A Bomb (lyrics) - Sleep Now In the Fire (video or lyrics) …to get you started
Rock music is full of protest songs about the troubles of our times. I'd Love to Change the World by Ten Years After, or For What it's Worth by Buffalo Springfield, or even Jimi Hendrix's version of the Star Spangled Banner was a statement about the troubles times in America back then.
If you’re in to music with a message, I think you’ll like Wake Up. There are some good videos with lyrics out there. Wake Up is one of the RATM fan favorites.
You're so cute! Were you holding up the wrong fingers on purpose? The '90s weren't the 20's, 40's or '60s! There where ample opportunities to give voice against all kinds of oppression. In Rage Against the Machine's case, their white audience was hearing it loud and clear! I think that generation helped blow open the door to BLM by crossing racial, religious and gender lines.
The band is a fraud.... They charged the highest price for tickets.. more than any other band.. they claim to be woke anti capitalists but put their money into the stock market and Bonds and made 100 million dollars.... just like AOC voting yesterday for 1.9 BILLION to fund the Capitol police to protect her while calling for poor hoods to have less funding for police protection...
I agree with you, I let an artists work speak for them.
Yes Rage is always political, but these are things that need to be said! I love them for that. People are hungry for truth. Great reaction! ✌😎💜
Thank you girl !

Audio slave is this whole band with a new singer Chris Cornell.

They were supposed to tour last year but we know why that didn’t happen, I hope to be seeing them in 2022 in Minneapolis! 😀🤞🏻
This a police brutality protest song. It dropped right after the Rodney King beating trial where the cops got off free as usual =(
