One must learn the personalities of these gorillas. Yes the enclosure IS small, and I hope someday they can expand it, but since being returned to Kyoto zoo Genki lived alone for a while then she was paired with Momotaro, and they had two beautiful sons. I've studied this troop for a long time. I truly believe they are the happiest they've ever been, and have so much love for one another. My favorite troop of all time!

Gentaro is so funny messing with mom and she is absolutely hilarious when she gets mad at Gentaro..I love it!!! Gentaros didn't surprise me with his intelligence, I knew he was highly intelligent due to hus high functioning personality.
Gentaro is a gorilla prodigy. He's the Einstein of the gorillas. Like his father, Gentaro is great at math. He's fast processing numbers in the computer. Really brilliant.
Genki's intelligence surprised me. At 3:05 you can see she almost picked 1-3-2, but realized it goes 1-2-3. Seeing actual understanding of structed thought from a non-human animal is incredible.
They are so very Smart!!!!! Some people won't know how to do that!!! Or people couldn't figure it out!!!! And the Gorrilas are the ones in the Cages!!!! This family of Gorrilas are the BEST!!!! I LOVE Them!!!! I have to see them, every DAY!!!!
I SEE THAT GENTARO HAS A LOT OF HUMANLIKE QUALITIES: He always make others feel that he wants something or is annoyed, or is being treated with less importance. HE IS MOST INTELLIGENT AMONG HIS PEERS. I AM EVEN MORE AMAZED WITH HIS COMPUTER SKILLS!

They’re so smart. They comprehend the sequence of numbers. Plus they know that they need to tap the computer screen and they’re gentle while tapping. Gentaro is advanced because he remembers where each number is located even when it’s covered.
Momotaro and Genki are both incredibly intelligent so I’m not surprised one bit that Gentaro is so intelligent. I wouldn’t be surprised if Baby Kin can select the numbers in order as well. Gentaro is being a monster not letting mom study lol. When he came up to her and started drumming in his chest it was so funny 🤣🤣🤣. I love this family so much.
Kintaro is getting free snacks just for cuteness alone. 😘😘😘😘 BUT he's ready to learn! Look at him trying to figure out how to sit in front of and use the computer. He seems to already know what chutes treats come out of, and what kind of treats
He is so handsome. Genki is so pretty no wonder they make beautiful babies. They are really smart working that computer to get treats. Look how fast he is on that machine. This family is fantastic. lean on God
No Wonder Gentaro is always so restless. He is energetic enough to go up to 14 or 15 on that computer, but his mom can only do 3, and dad only 5. Now I wonder if Genki or Momo learned it young, if they could do what Gentaro was doing. Guess we will have to wait till Kintaro can do the computer to see how much of it is Gentaro.
Gentaro is really amazing!! He can tap those #'s faster then I ever could. I cannot even see them all before he rips through them!! If that isn''t impressive enough, he ALSO can remember the sequence of the #'s when they are hidden!!! WOW!!! It's also so cute how near the end when he completes a screen, he turns around to make sure the visitors are watching and seeing how smart and great he is doing. Gentaro just loves attention and affection from everyone. He is just like a little Child. "Look at me!! Did you see what I can do?? Watch me!!" Such a Precious heart! Gentaro is really a smart Gorilla-Boy. Seeing Gentaro doing so outstanding with this # test makes me wonder how many other talents he has that we are unaware of. Gentaro is so adorable and funny, we forget how smart he is. I bet he could bang out mastering "Sign Language" in no time or any other "Cognitive tests " accessible to him. I wish we could communicate with him to know thoughts. I guess being that intelligent may also make Gentaro a bit restless at times wanting more mental stimulation. What a smart Gorilla Boy! Gentaro has it all!! Sweet and handsome face, kind heart, playful and an overall amazing Boy!!! This just proves how much more amazing and intelligent these fascinating Gorilla's are. Thank you so much for sharing these fantastic moments. Doesn't seem like Mom has the same patience or motivation for this test and just trying to figure out how to get a treat! LOL!
