Why would they destroy territory the claim to be Russia. Seems an odd way to save Russians??
Because theyre not invading to save russians or russian territory, theyre destroying Ukrainian livelihoods, erasing areas of Ukraine to create new land for russian expansionism. Land grabs for land and resources, that's why putler wants the land, not because he cares about ethnic minorities in another country - plus they dont get to just annex land because there are ethnic minorities in a region, that's not how it works. Those russians can go back to russia if they dont feel welcome.
Russians are not famed for intelligence.

I wish we’d evolve already this war has been especially brutal on a scale like nothing we’ve seen since WWII like nothing I’ve seen in my lifetime. That's easy when you are 22-25 maybe maximum 30 years old.But when you after 40, you have elder parents and came to the USA and have nobody there,that's really so so hard. I know it’s difficult Ukrainians, but the most important thing is to stay alive! Your country needs you to at least stay alive, because each living Ukrainian is important to the future of your country! Please do not sacrifice your lives without purpose! If you stay alive today, It gives you opportunity to defeat terrorist colonialist russia tomorrow!
Sadly this very thing seems to be another failure - oversight of the Ukrainian armed forces. Even the territory they take back they are failing to protect a large portion of it. So, not only do they need to quit losing more territory every week, they need to pound the heck out of any Russian positions that continue to shell Ukrainian cities. The support your people have been giving you makes them more than worthy to expect you will finish the job fast. Good luck.
Spoken like a true desktop warrior. Personally, I would be reluctant to try and advise the Ukrainians on anything to do with fighting a war. As for protecting the land they've retaken, it's a bit of a challenge when the missiles are coming from many kilometres away; and Ukraine has been hamstrung by their allies' reluctance to give them the best equipment. Praying daily for Ukrainian victory.
