I've read up on this woman, but she didn't bathe in the blood of her serfs - she just brutally tortured and killed them. Erzsebet Bathory was the one who bathed in the blood of her victims.
But this got me thinking. If the Russians knew about Vlad the Impaler, then they had to have known about Erzsebet Bathory as well. It could have been a possibility that Darya Nikolayerna Saltykova knew the stories of the Blood Countess and - I'm speculating, here - may have drawn inspiration from her.

Im not going to lie if the two uncles didn't black mail the father. Everyone would have been okay they was to money hungry, and she just sicken
They couldn't make this series slower if they tried! Pretty disgusting to watch but I wonder how much of it is actually true?
Right! Also it supposedly covered 20 years but 6 years after the kid was born they never aged the actor. Or maybe she spent 4 years locked up before the pardon? Either way he never aged. It broke my heart when Nastya found out she had been free the whole time.
All in all it was pretty good but damn did it frustrate me at times. She did a good job looking bat shit crazy though.
This would have been a good movie, but come on with the witch!! I wish they could actually do the truth without adding fantasy. This is why sometimes I hate American movies even though I am American.

Totally agree " If " it's supposed to be based on Real Time Period Piece ? 💯 ( in my opinion ) I think it's a way of covering up a lot of TRUE EVENTS ( too throw the viewers awff .. in order to make it more interestingly " questionable " as too " the witch " may give it more ratings ( more money for them ) or confuse US Viewers with TRUE ACTUAL EVENTS that were covered up by " these ppl im going to say " too make themselves look good in the eye of " Society " as they did for centuries now - eludeding folks to believe " these other dark forces " and accurances were ACTUAL practiced i.e. for these particular events to happen or it made that person have power over others etc etc .... ( taken the spotlight awff their evil asses ) 🤔😂🙏🏾🙄 so it hypes up the Film ...
Hard to say What's Authentic these days when it actually comes to Time Piece Films and History ... especially " Rewritten/ and or Directed " ? ... like who would actually question it ? To Prove it Was Bullshyt opposed to WHAT REALLY HAPPENED ? nah mean ... catch 22 to me ....still enjoyed the " Experience " in watching it .. 💪🏾💯 ...very dark and relative ...

I just finished the series over a period of 2 days ...
Love Foreign Period Pieces and Rarely do i do subtitles ....but I stuck this one out for I felt compelled ....
Not only was compelled .. I got a different feel from a " Slaver / Slavery " point of view ... it's Crazy how Society harp on the center of Slavery for Black Ppl / My Ancestors from my Mom's Side ( I guess bcz we were probably treated the worse in a lot if ways ) .. yet watching this film in its entirely I feel a lot of other ethnicities were treated badly as well ... my first look into " Russian Royalty and Slavery " that I never was aware of .... ( being compelled )
... dragged out ..yes ..pero im glad it was .. gave it more detailed depth -
- as previously mentioned ....her retribution was somewhat valid in the beginning ...but after inheriting awll that money ... " the power " of having it consumed her " good side " yet I can relate to giving your love and heat to those you think love you just as much in return - stab you viciously in the back ... smh ..
Oh how I grew to loathe her as the film went on ....although she had a mental illness from the beginning ...

And Recommend it to those unaware to the Russian Renaissance Era of Slavery ..
But had it been a black Woman ...im sure they would have Still Cut Her Head Awff .. letter or No Letter .. + would not have let her live in exile / imprisonment until she died .... smh
