They seem to be struggling with trees right now
Yeah - but not because of the standstill visuals. Rather it's animated behavior, particularly facials, that is incredibly difficult.

@hyena8385 facial animation is the most difficult to achieve, then the switches between movements is not perfect yet, I mean when a person is walking and wants to turn or stop it looks unnatural and robotic in any of the recent releases.

i notice the better the graphics get the less i care to play. gta3 and 4 blowed mind with what they did in everything. even if gta6 looked like this out of the box they have so much more they need to improve from npc behavior to world interactions to make it compelling.

making cars and road look like they are made out of mercury or diamond makes it way less realistic, realistic mods should incorporate imperfections, this is too perfect and the immersion breaks immediately as soon as you look at a car

Why those mods have overshiny cars? This does not look good or realistic.
Pretty nice. Not a fan of the soft ground shadows, although it looks a bit overcast? Night time definitely looks better, sharper shadows. Going through the forest at the end definitely needed (more?) light bounces or to enable higher fidelity shadows, should be more shade provided by the tree cover. The building behind the car at the start of the video has pitch black dark shadows where windows should probably be instead. LOD popping in quite obvious and apparent throughout.
All that said, this still looks pretty amazing!

The reflections look terrible, specially because the lighting conditions would not dictate that much reflection. The game still looks like GTA5, but with shit tons of reflection.

they look like a picture of Barbie on Instagram, but when you wake up next to her in the morning, the reality looks completely different. Same is here

"Ray tracing" can't even see your reflection in the car😂 no shadows from headlights.
That's beautiful, i am stuned by how realistic it looks like, but it's not raytracing.
Reflections only shows environment, not vehicules or people and lights only reflects when it is onscreen. That's pretty hard to see when everything is moving.
I'd really love to see that game raytraced, but i know we'll have to wait for GTA VI.

Honestly realtime cubemaps offer an excellent way to get perspective accurate reflections at a very low cost. I'd love to see that tech continue to be explored in future Rockstar releases. It can be supplemented with raytracing that only captures the moving objects such as characters and vehicles to be combined into a very realistic realtime reflection.
@@ACanadianDude that's what cyberpunk does. When raytracing is on, it uses 3 différents technics to produce reflections. One is raytracing, indirect lights are reflected through screen interpolation, and then cubemap.
i think the cars look too gloosy and too clean. Add some dirt in cars and buildings and less glossy will make it perfect

I only discovered yesterday (November, 02, 2023) that GTA5 on PS4 has been updated for a while now, I'm soo impressed with the new look graphics and they are soo realistic 😁. I was not aware that such updates also happend even to us who only play offline
