The way it sounded on your video (layers of sound, a lot of reverb) was exactly the way she was hearing it but thousand times louder. She could not hear in the ear monitor or in the speakers. Even the TV network blamed her. But the thing is she was not the only one with technical problems that night but her case was definitely the worst.
Vienna Savage if you did your research her inner ear pierces was not working . You can’t hear yourself if you 100s of thousands of people screaming sound bouncing off buildings . When she has issue at her own shows she stops it and starts over . This was not her show it was a big tv network she said that’s why she don’t usually use outside sources for her shows. It is what it is she bounced back the following year she had her own crew no issues .

Also, did anyone notice when Mariah stopped singing, we eventually heard her whistle notes on the backing track?... She didn't feel confident enough to sing them live and that's basically what she's known for. Lipsyncing was evident throughout this entire compilation. This is why we call these fools "Artists" these days and not musicians or singers. At least we had Dee laughing and we know THAT'S real. ;-) Edit: Props to Beyonce for (somehow) continuing to perform while getting a Cost Cutter haircut by security... She might lose her DIVA status and gain "Bad-ass" credentials for that one.
You do realize they do live sometimes and other times just lip sync, right? Some days you can hit the notes perfectly and then other times you just can’t. Try watching a compilation of singers singing live and avoiding a note and then another time singing live and hitting it
you do realize the piano is also on a mic, she was performing in arenas and stadiums there has to be a mic for the piano to project, looks like the entire audio system went down and all the mics with it
@@taggedgalaxy - It's possible, but not probable as Adell's mic was wireless. if there is frequency interference, it won't usually affect mics on different channels and it's HIGHLY unlikely that a piano would be mic'd with wireless microphones as most would use high-end condenser mics or small diaphragm omni-directionals. the fact that the entire thing dropped out and returned without any audible glitch was weird too... No click or surge of any type. The second part of my comment (lipsyncing) was directed more towards the Mariah incident. To those saying she couldn't hear herself, you need to ask... If she chose not to sing the whistle due to an on-stage acoustic issue WHY were the notes already on the backing audio track? Of course, she can hit them in the studio... Or could at one time... but if you are having enough "Off days" that your backing tracks include your signature riffs, something's wrong. There are cover artists that reproduce these songs live with no problem. If you can't do them live... Don't do them. Faking it is an insult and unfair to those that can and is (despite modern thinking) lying to your fans.
