- Introducing TEC's brand-new FANG 3-1 exhaust system for Triumph Trident 660 & Tiger 660!
In this video we take you through the full installation process of this lightweight, 304 stainless-steel exhaust, and give it a sound test too.
A Tiger’s fang is almost as defining as it’s stripe. A symbol of aggression. Bared when ready to attack.
The Tri-dents means Three-teeth in Latin.
After hundreds of hours of development, the TEC Fang is now ready.
Specifically designed to -
Make your bike look much better.
Improve performance.
Sound fantastic.
Save a significant amount of weight.
Check it out on the TEC website:

bought a trident 6 months ago. Started watching this vid and realised when I seen number plate THIS IS THE BIKE IVE GOT 😮. After watching a random vid This has blown my mind
Just ordered this exhaust with you guys, can't wait to give it a spin!
Thank you @TEC Bike Parts for the effort in developing this beauty and selling it for a fraction compared to the major exhaust brands.
That exhaust not when accelerating hard is addictive.
Finally managed to fit my TEC Fang to my Trident 660, 2023 model.
Two things to note, fit the springs to the mainfold so the springs curve faces towards the engine, I didn’t and they had to be refitted after fitting and as mentioned it was a pain to fit the middle spring.
Second point was the cable for the O2 sensor on my bike was much shorter than the video. I don’t know if triumph have shortened it but I had to undo one of the other rubber cable ties and pull the cable to get additional slack. Even then it was only just long enough to connect. I still had to use a cable tie to stop if dropping onto the exhaust but there was very little slack.
Other than that it went really easily thanks to the excellent TEC video.
And it just looks and sounds amazing!!
Great work TEC!!!
If I end up getting my Trident 660 I'll be getting this exhaust just because of how brilliant this video is and the support! Well done TEC!
What a wonderful overture of sound that new exhaust has, just listening 🎶 to it quickens the pulse and broadens the smile 😊.
All the options are so expensive for this bike other than this Tec! I’ll probably get this one once I listen on proper speakers at home. Listening on a phone tells me nothing
What a great sounding exhaust at a respectable price!
Just installed mine last night, overall easy install, ran into an issue where the bracket in the back needed to be bent just slightly more to clear the tire, after that perfect fit. Sounds great
Ive been riding a 660 Tiger and the thing I would change is the exhaust. When I get round to buying, I'll added that to the extra's. Thanks for getting it sorted.
i have a tiger sport 660 too, did u end up mounting this exhaust? if so, how is it?
@@simonebonfanti-tg4ev
No, I've been riding one, I do not open one yet.
This is beautiful. Great video.
Awesome work ! Awesome sound!
Just a perfect exhaust, all what we need !
Are you thinking about making one full black ?
Would be sooo good !! 😍
That sounds fkin amazing! 0:56
This system - Has a crisp sound. Like the original stock exhaust "tone", (which I like) but just with a bit more grunt to it. Sounds much better than the other 'popular' AM pipes. I Watched a video on the so called [Top 7 Am pipes].... They ALL sounded like crap!! The other one I liked sound wise was the black widow.
hi! excellent video and explanation, nice sound and very good looking, I have one question: is this exhaust homologated under the euro 5?
Looks quite similar to Zard, got to say..with the fuel rich tune it is a beast now!
A belly pan for this motorcycle would have looked amazing, like they have on the street triple rs
Fantastic video gents! Beautiful exhaust that sounds amazing for quite literally 1/3 the price of some of the other brands!? I will be taking delivery of a Trident this summer, and one of these will be going on it!
Nice exhaust!
Excellent video! Very helpful. Thank you so much!
You need an S pipe before the can to get the proper length of pipe. Contributes to the power curve and sound quality. Ala Zard and Leo Vince, and other full systems
I have check that out and zard exactly same length ?
@@georgemilburn6213 George, really? hard to believe that, you just have to look and see they aren't the same. but we will just wait for the dyno results, are they forthcoming? the proof is in the putting. I do have your Stinger on my Enfield and it is very effective exhaust sweet sound and very light, and helps the midrange torque nicely, perfect match for that bike.
That exhaust looks (and sounds) wonderful! Any plans to make a Street scrambler 2-1 again?
Sounds well 👊
If you make one for the Street Triple 675 I'll happily buy one.
sounds wonderful.. Glad your back with some new products.. .Any news on a 350 enfield cam?
I hear Hitchcock is working on one...
yes the J350 cam still being developed and tested, just one of many current TEC Royal Enfield projects.
Looks great but how loud is it? I mean how many decibels? Asking as I’m ocasionally going for the track and they measure the db before they let you in. Thanks!
interesting that he didnt use a spacer for the exhaust mount
Thanks for the guide...btw your boots looks nice. What kind of boots are they? ride safe
nice. probably order one to get sent to me in canada. have any videos of what it sounds like without the db killer/baffle? cheers
Does this fit the new Daytona 660?
Hello there! Great exhaust. Is there any chance to get one in Italy?
What's the diameter of the pipe and the inside of the slip-on?
Will this exhaust pass an MOT? As on the website it says track use only
Love my Tec-Fang on my TT660CC. I used this video for the installation. Do you know what pattern is that carbon end? I like to get matching covers for mine. Is it plain or twill?
Can I shoot flames with this setup? Also I need eco tuning?
Hey exhaust arrived last week, only 6 days to get it to Western Australia 🎉 can it be ran wit out they baffle?
Don´t you have the motor mapped afterwards?
Hi, is removing the baffle easy? Has it been spot welded?
Nice exhaust, can you slot in 675 street triple cams to give it more top end as it’s the same as the old 660 A2 engine, just a thought.
It’s actually not the same engine as the Street Triple 660. Nice guess tho.
Wish they were available in Turkey to fit on my Tiger Sport
Wow this a great looking and sounding exhaust! Do you have any db #'s comparing it to stock? I'd like my Trident to have a better sound without being appreciably louder. This exhaust certainly would improve the look of my bike but I don't want to make my tinnitus worse than it already is.
I’m in the same situation. Have you find any infos about it ?
@@valbay3434 Try contacting TEC directly thru their website.
I’ve tried on Instagram, but no news for the moment
@@valbay3434 I guess they get super busy. I haven't asked about this exhaust but other parts. Don't think I've ever had any responses here on YT. Thru the website it was a couple or 3 weeks till I heard back.
Yeah, possible. I’ll told you if i get an answer
I recently purchased this exhaust and although I have limited riding due to bad weather, I'm really enjoying it. It looks good and sounds better.
Installing was more difficult than expected with tight clearances making it difficult to get into the perfect position but after the first heat cycle everything has settled in nicely and the construction feels solid.
This is probably the best money for quality exhaust currently available for the trident and it looks the same as the Zard exhaust, but with a Tec muffler instead.
I've been riding with the db-killer still fitted but have been thinking about trying without it. However, removing the db killer leaves a bolt hole on the inside of the muffler that vents into the carbon endcap. Could there be any complications riding with the exhaust like this?
Would you say this is louder than stock with the dB in ?
@@danielafd13 oh yes, it's WAY louder than stock. This is a race exhaust afterall, there's no cat or big baffle
I always ride with special earplugs to reduce wind noise and find the volume to be just perfect. Plenty of bass when riding in the lower rpms, and when you open it up it howls beautifully without sounding obnoxiously loud
I reckon without earplugs higher rpm could become painful, especially for longer rides on the motorway
Dammmm, so I imagine it would be Unbearable with baffle out 🤣🤣
@@danielafd13 Yeah maybe, the baffle is quite small so I'm not sure how big the difference would be but without earplugs you'd definitely damage your hearing over time
Is this street legal/will it pass emissions? Some exhausts are and some aren’t.
Hey @George has there been any dyno and dB test?
Or can I just use the old ones?
Sounds identical to the 675 i owned
Hi. Is the video with the baffle in or out?
Sound with baffle in as supplied, but we can also make a quieter baffle option too, these will be available soon.
@@georgemilburn6213 Thanks a bit quieter would be good maybe I’d buy both baffles and swop depending
How do you remove the baffle?
Hi, do you ship to Canada? In the website I could not find that option
What touque wrench are you using?
its not available on your website
I'm jealous.... because if l fitted this system to my Bike it would fail the ITV, the equivalent to the MOT here in Spain.
But isnt it illegal to drive it on the road?
No need to tune or flash the bike after installing this full exhaust?
No re-flash or ECU tune required
I am getting my trident very soon. I was informed by my dealer not to put any aftermarket full exhaust as most new full exhaust system needs ecu tuning which will void the warranty. I have a question, does tec exhaust need ecu flash please? Will it vod the warranty if I put the exhaust?
does not need a ECU re-tune
Just bought one, do the gaskets come in the kit?
3 new gaskets supplied with the system
Hello, I have a question for you are you able to supply a Tripper navigation for the Hunter, or know where to get one? thanking you Roger
see beelinemoto
Hi Team i am really interested in this exhaust . I ride a tiger 660 and is there a dealer in India ?
please contact speedmonks
Nice video. Thank you. After watching it all I may have missed the price of it. How much? Do you ship to Australia?
Hi
Price tax free for export is £366.66 plus shipping. this will be calculated at checkout once you add your address. UK price is plus 20% vat to that.
@@georgemilburn6213 Thank you. Nice price. We only get an additional 10% GST. Have you got any Dyno reports comparing it to stock or just a bottom Dyno?
The exhaust looks pretty great but, please allow me to be “that” guy: how can it cost so much less than every single other competitor? Where are corners been cut here?
Do you really think it costs the major exhaust manufacturers anywhere close to the prices they charge?
@@yankeesaugust well, of course not. I am sorry I did not mean to say that. On the other hand the price difference between this system and any other trident specific system is pretty big. I am simply wondering why
Ship to US?
see our USA store at--- tecbikepartsusa
removable DB killer?
YES, comes supplied with a high flow baffle, but we can make up a quieter extra baffle if needed on request.
@@georgemilburn6213 How can have we such request ? And do you have the db level for this exhaust ?
Die Frage wäre ob man damit noch auf der Strasse fahren darf..
Sounds great!!! What a pitty it have no catalizer for Europe homologation!!! I can't mount it on my bike for this reason!!! 😭😭
Please, homologate it!!!
How do you remove the baffle?
secured by a bolt under a rubber cover
