@@meowcat5596 they weren't any closer in power levels than Magnus and Hikaru are. He hard counters all of Sasuke's hax abilities and also has superhuman strength and durability, thanks to SPSM. Not to mention, he has vastly superior Chakra reserves, which means even 'if' Sasuke was able to match him in battle, Naruto would win anyways in a battle of attrition. Sasuke also cannot use the 'Indra Susanoo' whereas Naruto can access his own equivalent of the same.

They play 2 games and the points are handed out after both are completed. So the points aren't per game but per game pair. So it's not about winning as many games as possible but rather just beating the opponent over 2 games to get maximum points. This was mentioned on Hikaru's stream which he Krusch and another WGM run.

Allow me to assist anyone still confused about castling in 960/FischerRandom. (I'm not ashamed to say it took me a while to get it too when I first started playing this variant).
The key idea: imagine the King, Queen, and both Rooks were on their usual starting squares. That is, "Queen goes on her color", Rooks at the end, King next to the Queen in the middle.
In 960, regardless of how the pieces are shuffled on the back row, the castling King and its "Rook partner" move to the same squares they would move to in regular chess. That's the key.
Hence, even though the King and Rooks may start off in unfamiliar positions, you should imagine them being on their usual squares when preparing to castle. That way you can maintain the beginner's description of castling: "King goes two squares towards the Rook, then the Rook goes on the other side of the King."

For the points thing at the end
There are game point and match point
a pair of games between two players is called a match (1 white 1 black)
Winning a match (1 win 1 draw or 2 wins) is 2 match point
Drawing a match (1 win 1 lose or 2 draws) is 1 match point
Losing a match (1 lose 1 draw or 2 loses) is 0 match point
game point is also tallied, like in a normal game. 1 for win, 1/2 for draw, 0 for lose
Match point is the most important, game point is for tiebreaker
Levy just said the game point, not the match point

At 18:00 - white has a draw possibility. Queen to F4 check, black blocks with the pawn, queen to f6 check and then just.. chase it on up? Am I confused?

I REALLY like Fischer Random 'cos it's Chess back to the basics: no formulas and rules and schemes (with names and moves/countermoves....). It forces people back into thinking from move one.

Regarding the scoring, it sounds like it's officially 2 for a win and 1 for a draw, but someone realized that's exactly the same as 1 for a win and 1/2 for a draw so they've reported it as that instead.

Nordirbek has four points winning both his matches (3.5/4 game score I believe) but Wesley and Ian have 2. Same story on other side. Hikaru has 4 points Magnus and Fedoseev have 2.
