Nice to see people sharing their storys about this rally and about Micheal Park I started watching rallying through this highlights series with the 2004 season when i heard fatal injuries, i felt a heavy bump in my stomach, didnt knew the guy, but the storys that are told about him - he seemed to be an awesome guy I thought i had huge respect for rally drivers and their codrivers... but the more i watch the more i get to respect them... RIP Micheal Beef Park 15 years after he died, it is still extremly moving - he really wont be forgotten ❤️
i went to margam... was a horrible atmosphere, got told by a friend that was marshalling there. :( RIP, feel bad for markko... such a shame too as burnsy died 2 months after, RIP Legends
I hope WRC will do something special tribute video for Michael 'Beef' Park :( 1 month and it will be in 10 years... :'( R.I.P. Beef! :'( Everyone sadly miss you Legend!!!
Right! Perhaps money is what made them moved to Peugeot but we will never know.... As for the 307, it certainly an interesting rally car as it was the only one at its time that was based on a coupe cabriolet but it was also an unreliable car with so many issues that led to the team's downfall.
@@hashrulsubzero not actually. Both Martin and Duval were contract-released by Msport Ford at the end of 2004 due to uncertainties about Ford’s official backing (and money) to the team. That’s where started the problems with the brand’s ‘official’ support to Msport and at such, as constructors in following years.
@@TheMadness5150 Right. Well, I didn't actually dead set think it was "money" that made the pair moved to Peugeot when I made that comment 2 years ago (after all, not many WRC rally fans know about the competitors' contract with their factory teams at that time). Thank you for clearing that up.
I remember that Michael Park was one of person who always get interview about experience in Rally Especially,as Co-driver Markko Martin basicly NOT want rally without him. He and Park are both the best pair of rally Race In Peace,Michael "Beef" Park
@MirceaBv Yes it was, from the start they could not fix all the problems the 307 had. I was surprised how long Gronholm put up with all its power steering problems and transmission problems.
Is this the narrator that does the Grand Prix: Killer Years documentary? Can not comment without mentioning Michael Park. R.I.P Beef, you're a much braver man than I and a true legend to this world. You will never be forgotten x
I remember watching this age 7 and the half years old just turning 8 in that year and I though oh my god I can’t believe that the crash has killed Michael beef park And then when I was watching the wrc 2006 Monte Carlo rally they had another tribute to Richard Burns who had rare illness which led to his death aged just 34 and then a year later itv news broke the news about the death of Colin McRae in the helicopter crash which killed him his 5 year old son and two of his friends
Two fans want's Michael "Beef" Park back. So i am too. I think that this accident was reason why nowadays only Citroen and Ford are only manufactuers in WRC.. R.I.P Beef and McRae.
I wasn’t born yet but still seeing the interviews it makes me tear up it’s very tragic it was the last fatal accident during an actual race Craig breens was during a test
I thought on Why Peter Solberg Won The British Rally. I thought it was due to a mistake from Seb Loeb or something that got him the win, But Sadly As I knew that incident From Stage 15 of the GB Rally Which took the Life of Michael Park. Tho a Very Sad Ending of the Video, Giving My Deepest Condolences to Michael Park and His Family For the Unfortunate Loss. Also Remember, This Too Was Also Marko Martin's Last Rally of His WRC Career As it took a Toll On Marko Due To His Friend's Passing. Which I can Understand that Truly Painful Which is why He did not Comeback and Retired as I can say is somewhat a Mark of Respect to a Friend. And a Loving Individual as well. Funny Enough it Was Everything Of Lasts, Last Victory for Peter as Well as for Subaru, Last Rally of Michael Park and Marko Martin's Career. What a Sad Day Indeed
One of the worst moments in rallying history. I was going to go to that stage, but at the last minute I had a feeling that I should not, so I stayed at home. I must have know :0
After the fatal crash from Michael Park , Robert Kubica F1 driver also made a close escape crash in 2011 February after the F1 2007 Canada serious carnage hit to miss the entire 2011 F1 season until 2018 F1 absence
Regardless of the fatality having plagued this rally, and even though the Fabia was not as well developed as the Xsara was; this rally definitely proved that Loeb was a far better rally driver than McRae has ever been...
Comparing the Xsara (one of the greatest WRC cars ever) too the Fabia is plain stupid. And nobody ever said McRae was better than Loeb. Loeb is the most complete driver the WRC has ever seen (along with Ogier) Plus McRae had been out of the WRC for nearly 2 years. Not really sure what point you're trying to make here haha!

Let's not forget that this was also both Subaru and Petter Solberg's final WRC victory.
it's not really a win is it considering Sebastian was well beating petter what Loeb did was a really nice touch and didn't have to do it.
18 years on and Michael park will be sadly missed by the world of rallying

Markko and Michael should have stayed in Ford. It was a better car and more reliable than Peugeot. Forever missed Rest In Peace Michael.
