A little mismatch on your riding attire and the weather? That traffic makes me not want to go there. I had no idea it was like that. Is there a bicycle shuttle to take you and your bike to the top? Still looks like a blast without the bumper to bumper traffic.
I was TOTALLY unprepared for the weather. It was my first 14-er... live and learn! I think if you go on a day that is not the 4th of July the traffic won't be so terrible. There are lots of shuttles to the top, I'm sure at least some of them would take a bike too!
It was SO COLD! I didn't prepare well... I had a jacket and gloves but they weren't waterproof in the slightest. My hands were numb by the end of the video.
Was this on a Sunday? The car traffic is awful, luckily you had the perfect machine to go around onto the gravel or dirt. Thanks for sharing your trip down from Pikes Peak.
Yes this was a Sunday! Traffic was pretty heavy both directions. I was glad to be on a bike instead of stuck in traffic.... but it was a bit stressful at parts :O
Most fun I've had on an ebike, I wish I could have kept it. It felt like the perfect blend of power and agility. I've ridden almost every bike SONDORS has made and the Rockstar is the best by far, at least in terms of component and build quality. The LX or Cruiser would be better for city-only riding, but for offroad/adventure riding the Rockstar is where it's at.
@@rjs15151984 I had 14% battery left at the very end, I was impressed! Here's a post I made that has all the details: electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/rode-the-rockstar-up-a-14-er-pikes-peak-group-ebike-ride.44121/
Haven't tried Ariel Rider, but I've ridden Super73 bikes. Great bikes but I wouldn't recommend them over SONDORS for all use cases; for mountain biking I'd take the Rockstar over any Super73 model in a heartbeat.
Thank you for subscribing!!

What did you think about the Rockstar? I live in Colorado Springs and just ordered the matte black one about a week ago.

@@TysonRoehrkasse Awesome, thanks for the info. Just curious how much battery life you ended with and what assist level did you use?

YOU FELL FOR THE SONDORS PLOY 😂 😂 GET SUPER 73 OR ARIEL RIDER! SONDORS IS NOT AMERICAN MADE!!!!
He rode a bike and liked it. How is that falling for a ploy?
