  • Beer mail 0046: Mangrove Jack's Irish Red; this was one that arrived in a nice big box in the post from RedDogBrewer ( / @reddogales9029 ) quite a while back now. Many thanks to him, a really great bloke, check out his channel if you haven't already done so. This video is the review of the Mangrove Jack's Irish Red that he sent, at 5.6% it is getting a little out of my comfort zone but for the rest of the review you will have to watch the video.
You can find me on Facebook; / schnuz.nauzer.3 , but you will need to be patient as I don't get on too well with Facebook. It may be a good idea to post a comment on a recent RUclips video of mine to give me a nudge in the right direction .
Many thanks to James of BlackMamba who has very kindly given me permission to add the music from their CD “Alive N' Violent” as a backing track to my videos. They are a Preston based heavy metal group and their music is pretty awesome. In my opinion similar in style and quality to Maiden and The Almighty among others. Great to listen to and original music and lyrics, Check them out:

Sound a very nice drop mate, some of these kits nowadays are blowing some canned commercial stuff out the water. Lovely description Schnuz.

Many thanks for watching and commenting, much appreciated. The kit beers are improving all the time, I didn't actually realise that it was a kit and kilo at the time I thought it was one of the all grain mash kits that take a day to create. I don't know how RedDogBrewer brewed it, whether it was with sugar or brew enhancer but at £20 it's not a cheap kit. Stay safe, cheers, Schnuz.

Nice deep color. Wow. Sounds mighty tasty too. This style of beer was one of my early favorites. I'd been enjoying dark ales when I could find them but the US was a beer desert in those days. 98% straw-colored stuff that tasted like it was brewed through a horse [what a terrible thing to say about a horse]. My first look and taste of an Irish Red Ale was an epiphany. Great video Schnuz. Cheers!

Many thanks for taking the time to watch and comment on the video, it's much appreciated. A really nice beer from RedDogBrewer and after looking into it after the fact it's a kit and kilo brew, although a pricey one at just under £20 which is the starting price of an all malt kit (some of which also have hop additions). Stay safe, ICAN, cheers, Schnuz.

Thanks for another great review and it's one that I've recently thought of brewing so I could give it a go. Take care and all the best. Stevie

Many thanks for watching and commenting Stevie, a very nice beer and I didn't realise that it was a kit and kilo beer at the time. A bit pricey at £20 (+ sugar/ enhancer cost). It also seems a bit of a gimmick putting the yeast into the pouch with the malt as it sounds like the usual packs of dried yeast. They are in foil sachets so why put them in the pouch? Still a good beer though, don't know if RedDogBrewer used beer enhancer or sugar. Stay safe, ICAN, cheers, Schnuz.

Don’t think I have had this one from John but it certainly sounded right up my street.
Another masterpiece from the master himself👍👍👍

Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment on the video, much appreciated. It was a very nice beer indeed and I didn't realise that it was a kit and kilo beer till after the fact, just goes to show that there is nothing wrong with kit and kilo beers. Stay safe, ICAN, cheers, Schnuz.

Many thanks for watching and commenting on the video and more importantly many thanks for sending it. It was a damned excellent beer and I didn't realise that it was a kit and kilo before I started to edit the video. Did you use standard sugar or beer enhancer? Or DME or combinations 🤣? Great beer either way, hope the new job is going great and stay safe, ICAN, cheers, Schnuz.
