As I see it Melody there are two reasons One is Daniel 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. Second Revelation 18:1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. This to my understanding has not come to be as yet although we may well begin to see it beginning here
I love the idea of layers in the first 11 chapters. You're right...there have been some weird and wonderful interpretations, but God is reinforcing the narrative by repetition.

In order to have your name written in the Book of Life you must accept Jesus into your heart as your Savior from sin. No other way. 😊
