Wonderful job as always. I never ever noticed this before. And thank you so much Rick for including my ornament and shop in your special giveaway! Good luck to everyone entering!!
It’s a good thing this episode was done 8 years before Bea Benaderet became the voice of Betty Rubble. A prehistoric hopparoo is harder to find than a tweety bird!
"I Love Lucy" first came up with the three-camera filming system, the rerun...and now film easter eggs? What DIDN'T they do? Rick, this was absolutely brilliant on your part to discover this. Well done, as always!
I loved Bea in this episode. Her line about the fire still in the furnace always made me laugh. 😂 So savvy of you to notice the Tweety Bird connection! Awesome.
I’m amazed at how you are able to find out all of these cool facts about I Love Lucy and other classic shows that otherwise would have gone unnoticed. I mean to find the voice of Granny and the owner of tweety bird also played on Lucy is something that most people would have never known. The research you do must take hours. Wonderful videos!
Awesome trivia and history Rick! She even looks like Granny! That’s hilarious they included that - so clever and you know Lucy had to have loved it and personally approved!
That was so interesting, you always come up with the most obscure facts. Who would have known there was a tweety bird hidden in the set. I Love Lucy is one of my favorite shows.
Wow! Great find! I never would have put those things together. Thanks for pointing that out. And I remember Bea from a number of tv sitcoms through the 60’s, like Petticoat Junction. OH, and TWEETY BIRD. 😁
I always love finding new things in I Love Lucy with this channel, especially if something is sort of right in front of us for so long and yet it just goes unnoticed until it’s pointed out. Thank you for the video Rick, keep up the great work and have a great day!
Rick, This is why we, your loyal fans, keep coming back to you!! You always find these hidden gems that, when revealed to us by you, put a smile on our collective faces. I've seen this episode COUNTLESS times, and yet I never made the connection between Ms. Louis and her bird and Granny and Tweety Bird. And I had forgotten that Bea Benadaret had voiced Granny, too. Wonderful content, Rick. You are our Classic TV Sherlock Holmes! Stay well and be hopeful, Rick! Paul +
What a cool observation! I didn't know Bea was the voice of Granny! And a nod from I Love Lucy Show! That Tweety Bird did make an appearance. Love your videos Rick!
Awesome theory on the Looney Toons connection! And awesome partnering and supporting local merchants! True fact: (I think you confirmed it on a previous video) Lucy wanted Bea to play the role of Ethyl Mertz originally, but Bea was contracted to do The George Burns and Gracie Allen tv show and couldn’t accept the part. In the end, I think it worked out for the best, as Bea was perfect for the role of Blanche Morton and Vivian Vance was perfect as Ethyl Mertz. I just can’t see any other actress playing those specific characters as well as Viv and Bea.
*TWEETY BIRD and granny, along with Sylvester, are actually my favorite Looney Toons characters!! So, to discover this fun fact and Easter egg was a delight and now I'll always notice it because of this information. Thanks Rick, for the constant amazing and entertaining content. You're absolutely my favorite RUclipsr and this is definitely my favorite channel* ❤👍🏻
Twenty Bird!😍 Like most the bird cage blended in. It actually made sense that she had a bird! Really interesting to look back and watch with new eyes! Forever, I Love Lucy... ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Lucille Ball wanted Bea Benaderet for the role of Ethel but Bea had other commitments. Plus Lucille Ball wanted Gale Gordon for the role of Fred but again he was busy. Glad they still had time to make a few guest appearances on the show.😊
I totally missed the hidden item that was in this episode Rick i did not see the item im always missing things when I watched old shows and sitcoms like I love Lucy I've watched some of i love Lucy not all of it I forgot about this episode I missed it great video Rick thanks for sharing 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Excellent video and an interesting topic. I never knew this actress was the voice of Granny on the Tweety Bird cartoons. As always, thanks for a great video.
What a lot of investigating this must have taken Rick. Her costume and look are pretty much the same as Granny as well. I am so impressed with you😊 Take care
great job. I Love Lucy was a great show that led to many other groundbreaking shows. they took risks and entertained us all. love seeing other appreciate actors from other genres that are honored with items that tie them to what they are known for like bird cages and Tweety Bird
I wondered how many people knew about her doing “Granny” from the Tweety Bird cartoons, LoL. I noticed the birdcage, but didn’t actually connect it hahaha, Good One Rick❣️
In all the times I’ve seen this episode and never thought about it…knowing that she voiced granny and her relationship to Tweety Bird makes this Easter egg special. Thanks!
One of my favourite episodes because of Bea and Edward both had worked with Lucy in movies/radio. Tweety Bird cage in the episode I thought to be a prop as a pet for a spinster as I never knew Bea was the voice of Granny in the cartoons.
Lucy had a small part in "Top Hat" where he had a much larger part. She was a clerk in a florist shop in London, but couldn't do the cockney accent. They ended up giving her fewer lines.
Wow, Rick you are amazing! I have seen every episode of I Love Lucy a zillion times and NEVER noticed the bird cage in this episode. Love your videos, so entertaining!
I never noticed the birdcage, Tweety Bird shoutout in a way, lol. Honestly didn’t notice that Fred and Ethel were not in this episode! 🤦🏽♀️ Thank you, Rick! 🙏🏽♥️
Excellent detective work and commentary on the Granny and Tweety Bird references in the I Love Lucy episode. You always expand my knowledge with your YT videos!
As a high school student, we paid tribute to Walt Disney during a home coming games halftime show. As the marching band played Its A Small World, my best friend and I ran around the band members dressed as Sylvester and Tweety Bird. I played Tweety. I remember this as a most embarrassing moment from my youth. I miss both my friend and my youth. Oh, to be so young
Rick, I think you do a fantastic job with all of the little treasures you uncover for us. I absolutely love the tweety bird connection. I also love that ornament!
I noticed the bird cage, but never made the Tweety Bird connection. Some folks at the time had cages with artificial birds as decorations, like the ubiquitous jaguar on top of the TV in the 60s. Another great video!
Even though I haven't seen it in years, I remember this episode and how it made me laugh, but I had no idea of the Tweetie bird connection. That's very cool.
Haha, saw the bird cage right off, but didn't know it was the home of Tweety Bird . Bea Benadaret was a busy lady,, Played so many roles,, yes radio and then later television. I mostly enjoyed her performances in petticoat Junction :)
I actually did absolutely notice the bird cage in this episode however I had no idea that she voiced granny in looney tunes. Pretty interesting Mr. Rick.
Hey Rick! Thanks for this revelation of the “Tweety Bird” appearance in this episode. Never noticed it before. Haven’t seen this episode in many years. Also didn’t know that Benaderet was the voice of Granny in the Tweety and Sylvester comics. Did you know that Bea voiced the character of Betty Rubble in The Flintstones?
After all the years of watching this show I never caught on to the Tweety Bird connection with the bird cage in the background. This was a neat little fun fact. 😊
I always noticed the bird cage and felt it was out of place waited for it to be part of the plot. It wasn’t and didn’t think much else of it. Nice to do they thought I’d Easter eggs. 😊
Bea was also originally cast as "granny" on the Beverly Hillbillies. When that role was reassigned to Irene Ryan, they created Petty Coat Junction so Bea would have a role.
I do remember in the episode that the camera focused in on the birdcage over Lucy shoulder to purposely included in the shot. Wow this interesting information. .
I noticed the birdcage when I watched the episode but I had no idea at the time that Bea was the voice of Granny in the Twenty Bird cartoons. Nice Easter egg 🥚
I never knew the connection, but I guess it makes sense since I never knew who she was and what other projects she worked on. Cool reference to her other work though. I enjoy learning things like this.
Hi, Rick! Yes, I noticed "Tweety bird" and granny back in 1964 when I first saw that episode. I been telling people about it ever since but, I don't think they took me seriously 😑 And here you come so many years later and you vouch for me. Well a little to late most of them are "gone"😢 Oh, Well! 😉
This is one episode I somehow missed or just don’t remember. I primarily knew her from Petticoat Junction and Beverly Hillbillies. I had no idea she was the voice of Tweety Bird’s Granny.
Honestly, you aren’t missing much. The only redeemable quality of the episode in my opinion was the scene between Horton and Lucy. It didn’t have the strength of having the Mertz’s on the show but this Easter egg was pretty cool
Wonderful job as always. I never ever noticed this before. And thank you so much Rick for including my ornament and shop in your special giveaway! Good luck to everyone entering!!
Lovely pieces and thanks for the continued support on the channel!
@@ricknineg It was my pleasure! So happy to show support and partner with you on this! Tis the season🎄

Wow! Great find! I never would have put those things together. Thanks for pointing that out. And I remember Bea from a number of tv sitcoms through the 60’s, like Petticoat Junction.
OH, and TWEETY BIRD. 😁
Bea was also the cartoon voice of Betty Rubble on the Flintstones. Such a great actress, been to her gravesite a couple of times.
Amazing the treasures you find in I Love Lucy! Didn't know she was the same lady that voiced the character in the cartoon. Keep posting!!
I like the connection of Granny and Tweety Bird! Great detail!
I always love finding new things in I Love Lucy with this channel, especially if something is sort of right in front of us for so long and yet it just goes unnoticed until it’s pointed out. Thank you for the video Rick, keep up the great work and have a great day!
Thank you kindly Jared! It’s always nice to see you on the channel
Great tie in to Granny and and Tweety bird and all the research you put into each video
What a sweet homage to Tweety Bird ... 😊
Those ornaments are so precious!! The character is so spot on. "Tweety bird".

Thank you Paul +. It means a lot to have a great supporter like yourself
What a cool observation! I didn't know Bea was the voice of Granny! And a nod from I Love Lucy Show! That Tweety Bird did make an appearance. Love your videos Rick!
The granny even has a couple of candle holders like she sometimes used in Tweety Bird & Sylvester!
You have a good eye. I never would have noticed that. Very good.

Like most the bird cage blended in. It actually made sense that she had a bird!
Really interesting to look back and watch with new eyes! Forever, I Love Lucy...
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love Bea as Betty Rubble, she always had the cutest giggle, but I never heard her use that Betty Rubble giggle on any other character she did..
YES MORE *”I LOVE LUCY”*
Lucille Ball wanted Bea Benaderet for the role of Ethel but Bea had other commitments. Plus Lucille Ball wanted Gale Gordon for the role of Fred but again he was busy. Glad they still had time to make a few guest appearances on the show.😊
Gale got his break in Lucy's later series though.😊
@@k.b.tidwell yes I know..
Gale Gordon god no , he is so annoying
Very cool Rick, I never noticed that bird cage before, Tweety bird enjoys the cage I'm sure!!
You know I never put the two together. Wish I would have realized the tweety bird cage was in her apartment. Good catch Rick!

Haha, cool to see it all come together
i knew it was there but not thinking of tweety bird, my thought was I thought u couldn’t have pets in the apartment
That’s why I enjoy your videos Rick!
I myself would not have put the Tweety Bird connection together! 🐥
How cool. I always have enjoyed Bea. I had no idea she was "Granny". Can't wait to share this.
Thanks so much
In all the times I’ve seen this episode and never thought about it…knowing that she voiced granny and her relationship to Tweety Bird makes this Easter egg special. Thanks!
It definitely makes the episode more special

I always noticed the bird cage because I always wondered if the bird was real lol. Never made that connection tho. That's great!
I love … I love Lucy and Tweety bird! ❤️
I love the part of this episode where Bea does her little wiggly shoulder dance move to entice E.E…..and he likes it! So 1890’s!!!
TWEETY BIRD: Great Catch! I had no idea 💡 Thank you your fun videos.
I didn't know that Bea was the voice of Granny in the Tweety Bird cartoons. Great find on the birdcage Rick
Is good to finally see the voice behind granny..i could just imagine her working with Tweety Bird ... lol 👍👍
Such a fun find….accidental one haha
I actually did absolutely notice the bird cage in this episode however I had no idea that she voiced granny in looney tunes. Pretty interesting Mr. Rick.
Wow such a great revelation about Tweety bird being in the episode. Thanks Rick.
No problem! Glad you liked it. Yes, def knew about her voice acting endeavors. She was great! 😀
After all the years of watching this show I never caught on to the Tweety Bird connection with the bird cage in the background. This was a neat little fun fact. 😊
WOW I never noticed that before and it does make sense nice ode to Tweety bird and Granny.
I always noticed the bird cage and felt it was out of place waited for it to be part of the plot. It wasn’t and didn’t think much else of it. Nice to do they thought I’d Easter eggs. 😊

Thanks for the heads up on the Tweety Bird episode, Rick! I honestly never noticed this or I would have put 2 amd 2 together!
I do remember in the episode that the camera focused in on the birdcage over Lucy shoulder to purposely included in the shot.
Wow this interesting information.
.
Great job. I would have never thought of Tweety Bird.
I never noticed the tweety bird reference in this scene before. Thanks for sharing!
Cool find -- never noticed the Tweety Bird connection!
I noticed the birdcage when I watched the episode but I had no idea at the time that Bea was the voice of Granny in the Twenty Bird cartoons. Nice Easter egg 🥚
Once again another "Great" episode 👍🥇 Great detective work Sherlock 😉
🕵️♂️
Very Interesting having the Tweety Bird or Bird Cage in the episode. Clever of them.
I loved watching Tweety Bird foil Sylvester the cat! Funny stuff!
I never knew the connection, but I guess it makes sense since I never knew who she was and what other projects she worked on. Cool reference to her other work though. I enjoy learning things like this.
I loved watching Tweety Bird growing up. I am now 69 years old. Love your site!!!
I never saw Tweety Bird in the original episode. So cute. Great idea.
Very good! I would have never noticed the bird cage or make any association about it.
😉 🐦
Tweety Bird is ALWAYS seen....Sylvester knows
I love anything with Bea. She was amazing in Petticoat Junction. This is. A good episode that is often forgotten. Tweety Bird!
I never knew she played the granny to Tweety Bird! Thanks for this ♥️
I LOVED Granny and TWEEDY BIRD 💜🐥💜
Tweety bird and and the voice of granny Bea Benadarit. Who also played Kate Bradly, Pearl. She was a busy Lady
I always loved tweety bird. Loved Granny too. Great cartoon back in the 60's and 70's.
Cool story about granny and her tweety bird! ☺️
Tweety Bird is only one of the animated characters she voiced. Wasn't she also the voice of Betty Rubble?
Never knew she was the voice of Tweety Bird very interesting
I never knew she played the voice of Tweety bird. I'm a native of Niagara Falls, NY, we lived about 3 hours from each other.
i grew up in old hollywood atmosphere. i own an original Don Loper black velvet wiggle dress. but id love to trade it for Lucys tweed suit!
I totally love the placement of Tweety Bird. Tweety Bird may have been bogus but I love it anyway.
Hi, Rick!
Yes, I noticed "Tweety bird" and granny back in 1964 when I first saw that episode. I been telling people about it ever since but, I don't think they took me seriously 😑
And here you come so many years later and you vouch for me. Well a little to late most of them are "gone"😢
Oh, Well! 😉
Hey, as long as the fans know about it, that’s what counts. You’re the pioneer in Easter egg spotting Bill!
I knew she was Granny's voice on Tweety Bird, but sadly was never credited for it.
She also voiced Betty Rubble in early Flintstones cartoons
This is one episode I somehow missed or just don’t remember. I primarily knew her from Petticoat Junction and Beverly Hillbillies. I had no idea she was the voice of Tweety Bird’s Granny.
Honestly, you aren’t missing much. The only redeemable quality of the episode in my opinion was the scene between Horton and Lucy. It didn’t have the strength of having the Mertz’s on the show but this Easter egg was pretty cool
Tweety Bird always stayed a step or so ahead of Sylvester.
Our son would just love this ornament! He's been a Lucy fan since ha saw his first I love Lucy episode. I didn't taw the Tweety Bird.
I never put that together. I did notice the birdcage but didn’t realize the connection with Tweety Bird.
Gosh - it’s been decades since I’ve seen that episode so can’t say I noticed but definitely would not have known the story behind it.
Bea was also great in the BURNS AND ALLAN show.
I think you might just be right. At the very least, it makes sense. It does look like granny and tweety bird.
