    Italy signed a friendship treaty with Lybia (Berlusconi prime minister) and shortly afterwards participated in the bombing of that country. So much for bilateral friendship agreements.

    I don't know why so-called experts keep repeating that "there's no way the US can just withdraw from Ukraine". Hell that's what we do and then we just quit talking about it, like it never happened. Ritter and MacGregor know that very well. That's a big US strength, when things get too tough just cut your losses and just walk away, while spouting aggressive rhetoric to cover your withdrawal and never admitting defeat.

      Joseph Schumpeter: “Politicians are like bad horsemen who are so preoccupied with staying in the saddle that they can’t bother about where they’re going.”
      US versus Russian foreign policy:
      US foreign policy seeks to keep allies weak and dependent, and adversaries weak and threatened;
      Russian foreign policy seeks stability and reliability with mutual trade benefits and friendship the goal.
      Andrés Manuel Lopéz Obrador (AMLO): “[Biden will] supply the weapons, and [Zelenskiy & Netanyahu] will supply the dead.”
      US foreign policy is constructed only for domestic political advantage.
      This baked into the US Declaration of Independence grievance list.
      Vladimir Putin (July 7, 2022): “The initiatives to work together on missile defence have been rejected, warnings about the unacceptability of NATO expansion, especially at he expense of the former Soviet republics, have been ignored.”

    The late Daniel Elsberg who was a US nuclear war planner stated that the US nuclear doctrine included attacking China with nuclear weapons if a nuclear war broke out between the US and USSR (at that time) as the US didn’t want to leave a potential super power intact. Also, Elsberg didn’t think a limited nuclear war was possible because of the “decapitation”strategy (destroying the enemies nuclear capability) employed by both the US and Russia.
