Thanks for going out of your way to make this video. This is really important information that gets overlooked. You are completely safe with a leak from any other fluid in your car. Do not mess around when it comes to gasoline.
You have to get the tube that says fuel pressure hose. I'm pretty sure the fiber inside the house is nylon fiber. But exactly as you said the hose you have isn't rated for liquid gas but for the breather it's just getting some vapers and should be just fine
I replaced a fuel line on my MK6 jetta that was giving me trouble after the retaining clip broke. It worked fine for a few months until a very hot day, I was on a long drive in 104°F and all the sudden i smelled a strong whiff of gasoline, and a check engine light popped up. turns out the fuel line had burst right on top of the fuel pump, and dumped gasoline all over the backseat and onto the street. I scanned the code and saw “system too lean”. Yeah, no shit! So i pulled over, disconnected the battery, soaked up all the gasoline with some rags, jacked the car up, and removed the replacement line. luckily i still had the OEM line in my trunk and I zip tied that back onto the pump. Worked like that for 6 more months, and my AFR was nearly perfect at 0, 1%, -1% etc. Come to find out, i didn’t even need to replace the line… the retaining clip was just clogged full of dirt and debris. removed and cleaned the clip up, reinserted and i no longer need a replacement or a zip tie. car has almost 200,000 miles on almost all original parts, aside from a few failures and replacements i did myself.
Im sure the hose says somewhere, "Not for fuel injection." You really should be using steel lines. It's an expensive lesson to learn. But its not a mistake you'll make twice.
it actually didnt say "not for fuel injection" but while i was in the back of autozone looking at the different hoses i did see hoses with that scripture on them
PCV my boy. PCV

Glad it was helpful!
The R9 has alot more reinforcement cord and was probably extruded under alot of pressure to make it strong.

smart man
Only difference is the ability to hold more pressure not the material on the inside as we use r7 for low pressure hydraulic systems
