On October 1, Longtime friend and neighbor Ryan McCann arrowed a target buck he called Slim Shady. Lee was out hunting Gomez that night, and although the sun set that day without Lee releasing an arrow, he got a phone call that kept the cameras rolling. This is the story of Ryan McCann's opening day 204 inch double drop-tine hit lister.

Lee this is one of my favorite videos you’ve had. Even though the kill wasn’t on video nor was it yours you showed everyone how to celebrate a fellow hunters success. There was no jealously or anything negative going on. Just a good group of guys celebrating. As an older hunter now a lot of times you don’t see that. And he had good friends to share it with. Thanks for sharing that with us.

It’s rare to see friends/neighbors/ fellow hunters congrat and help each other! Out of all the hunting shows I watch I enjoy yalls the best! Not only are y’all great hunters but y’all are great people!

Sorry to hear of Mattie’s passing. That is always difficult when a great dog passes. Hopefully the memories of the dog bring a smile to the family from time to time.

I just lost my dog to cancer also. One of the hardest things ive went through. Sorry for your loss.

PS. How you developed a way to keep deer waters from freezing?
If you share the pain, then we are sorry for your loss as well. It definitely cuts deep when we lose a pet. As for the water, we haven't had much luck keeping them open once winter really takes a hold. Luckily we don't get too much snow and we can just drive out and break the ice if need be.

That body is huge! Any idea what he weighed? I grew up hunting down in that part of the state. I always thought it was the best place in the world for hunting whitetails. I live in the central part of the state now and boy do I miss hunting that area.
